- A walk around Kennedy Station in Scarborough. Kennedy serves the subway (line 1), RT (line 3) several buses and is the future home of the Crosstown LRT (line 5). There is also a connected GO commuter rail station.

A few things to point out: The GO train at the beginning is heading to Stouffville, hence the name of the line. The Scarborough RT line opened in 1985, just one year off ;) it's definitely worth taking a ride on the entirety of Line 3 next time you're there since it'll be closing for good next year. I like when you explore the bigger TTC stations
How come the RT is being discontinued

I used to live in one of those condos in 2000-2001 between Kennedy station and Midland. From 2001-2004, I went to the bus terminals every day. I visited the bus terminal area again a few weeks ago and to my surprise, the bus terminal area hasn't changed at all and it actually looked like a mess because the ceilings were all busted open with pigeons flying everywhere and living up there.
It would be nice to have a short jaunt to the Go station, it is hell to find the way a month ago late at night

Kennedy subway station could use a coffee and bakery shop since it's the 5th busiest station. At least it's an upgrade from Warden station with its decor, wheelchair accessibility and bus bays. The Community Centre is right beside the east side of Kennedy station near Midland Ave. When it's all finished and opened, it will be more pedestrian-friendly. Scarborough residents will miss Line 3 when it closes next year. Upon entering I could tell how unimpressed you were. Oh well, it is what it is!

Interesting how they added an elevator to the station on line 3 even though this part of the subway is supposed to be decommissioned next year. I must do some research to find out when they installed that elevator, just to see how far they went to make line 3 accessible for wheelchairs.
I believe it was among the first in the TTC. The only other station on Line 3 that received one is STC.

Gargoyles and Tartactycles swooping and frolicking in the open sky.... And an armada of laborers shipping large limestone blocks and being placed on a mound, stacking each block.... Looks to me those dudes are building a giant pyramid..... And in another area of the landscape a lush forest with three Gothic Trees soaring as much as five hundred meters, the limbs stretching up toward the twin moons.... Totally amazing.... I don't get it. They did the eat side of the LRT but they didn't do the west side of the LRT. I think the west is a huge mess including yonge street

What a mess no reason they couldn’t make it more accessible. Must be hard for people to figure out how to get to the station. And how to find their way through it.
