I felt that in my soul that's exactly why I like my hair frizzy

i used to buy 10 dollar wigs from china on ebay and really go out of the house thinking i was cute...ngl i still do sometimes gotta look busted on a budget
It never looked like Aaliyah. It looked like a struggle. 😂
"All my life I've never had eyebrows" I don't think I've ever related to anyone more.
Me too
grease. just greasing and slicking my edges away to infinity and beyond
😂😂😂😂
Yes!
The Aaliyah to neglect ...😂😂 the wiz Khalifa to whatever 😭😂 the darker lady with the 4c hair is so funny 🤘🏾♥️
I also walked boldly through my teens w a mustache until a friend's 3yr old niece loudly told me -at a graduation no less, so multiple ears around to hear- that I had a "mustache like [her] daddy". 😱😵😳
I have been diligent abt upper hair removal ever since. That was 18 years ago.
xandria20 I used to have one until I shaved it literally shaved it bc I was desperate
xandria20 omg honestly me. I’m like a hairy rat sooo
My Achilles heel is the hair under my chin in my family either you get pimples or that ... now eventually I realized that if you got the pimples once they cleared up it's like you transform but if you got hair you just go look the same for the rest of your life forever baby face.
Evelyn is hilarious!!!!! She is my friend in my head!
so true
"it looked like neglect" Evelyn knows the struggle ahaha
Cutting off my eye lashes with scissors because they were so long and kept my glasses smudged (little did I know long lashes are not a gift bestowed upon everyone; thankfully they grew back); filling in my eyebrows with a too light brown shade because the dark brown was "too dark for my skin tone" (looking back at pictures I can now see my two-toned eyebrow disaster). lolol
chicagocurly I cut off mine too 😂😂
+Jayla Lowe - the things we do when we're young. Thank goodness there was no social media during my "struggle" days. lol
chicagocurly my sister cut her eyelashes too and omg they were so short after, so short my mom noticed the next day and she got in trouble
chicagocurly I don't know you, but I'm mad you did this.
Sameee.i honestly thought I was the only one
This one time my mother sonned me and called herself cutting my bangs this is like circa '07 and I was a junior. She had lined the hair up perfectly with a clip, but tell me why this woman cut above the clip and not under. And I knew she messed up because the face she made after the first snip, but somewhere in her mind she was like "fuck it" and kept going! Like she could've stopped and we could've salvaged it! My bangs were like a centimeter from my edges/hairline. You think my black mama let me stay home from school?! of course not
I died when you said “but tell me why this woman cut above the clip and not under”
I AM HOWLING
I am naturally HIGH YELLLLOW. Like.... there isn't a pink undertone in me. If I were to naturally blush, I'd blush gold. But I didn't understand that at 12 when I was using my white friends $1 foundations with all the pink ashiness. Needless to say middle school was a shade match struggle.
omg this was my high school struggle too! and no one was kind enough to tell me i looked a mess
I feel you with having no pink undertone at all. Finding makeup was tough at first
Me too girl. I'm like an nuetral gold, and any time I'd use foundation I'd be either Easter pink of Simpson yellow. The struggle! 😂😂😂
Im a weird shade of caucasian and native american, i looked a mess in middle school too lmao its ok , you look beautiful in your photo!!💚✌🏼
I was in 7th grade and my friend had really thick eyebrows so her mom took her to get them done professionally they looked so nice! I talked this over with my mom she said no, but I didn't let that stop me. My sisters did hair and we always had those little razors used to arch eyebrows lying around. One Saturday evening after watching re-runs of ANTM I decided I needed a makeover. I closed my door grabbed the razor and slowly began to shape up my brows. My brother busted in my room to tell me something and scared the life out of me. Sooo my hand jump along with my soul and I ended up shaving off my whole eyebrow!!! The messed up part was I tried to hid it from my mom so I combed all my hair over to the side to cover my eyebrow. These may seem like a good idea but this was back when we were still greasing our scalps, so I had this long greasy hair covering my face at all times. I didn't have common sense or any sense of style to curl my hair into a deep side bang so I walked around with my hair completely straight covering the whole left side of my face. I damn near went blind 4xs cause I started sweating and all that grease got in my eye. I'm so great at doing eyebrows now tho😂😂😂😂
"i could only go part super saiyan" ahahahahahaha im crying 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Where is the dag on LOVE button?! I love how open and transparent you gals were! Your "blunders" don't look as bad as it might appear. I know as we ladies get older, we look back on our younger selves and think "dear God, WHY???" but you ladies are beauties!! Keep loving the skin you're in!! (that's the eternal struggle right?? 😳😄)
Evelyn, you CRACK ME UP girl!!! 😂 Both of y'all are funny!! 😆 Keep up the great work ladies!!! 👍🏽👍🏽❤️
I didn't quite grasp the concept of blending eyeshadow 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ high school was a disaster make wise 😂😂😂
Ohhh Evelyn 😆 that red hair. That was around the time I first saw her videos n I was hoping it was temporary. My biggest recent blunder was transitioning too long (over 18months). Finally the back just snapped off! I should have chopped sooner and been getting to know my hair all that time instead of straightening it.
Wow, you lasted longer than me! I transitioned for 7 months and decided it was enough. XD
I used to hate my bushy brows. So I shaved half of them off and just have bushy squares on my face and thought I was cute
Sincerelyy Eccentric I did that a week or two ago and I am living with the regret still
Actually Evelyn is NEVER ugly. Sure, some styles look better on her than others but I would never, ever, EVER say she was ugly. And she's so funny I just LOVE watching her videos.
Lol I am also #baldfaced
im rocking my biggest mistake rite now! i have natural hair but dyed the front emerald green🙈! loved it at 1st but now im trying to turn it purple or sumn......
23SuperLioness how are you fading it? I did the same thing and want to go back to pink.
TwinkieToes Im not really fading it i added a few different colors to try tone it down a lil blue red yellow purple etc.
I spy you Internet cousin with that Super Saiyan reference. Love it!
I've always wanted to have a Who Wore it Worst party with my girlfriends where we dig up our fashion blunder pics and share them. But only in person - no one wants them going out on the Internet! You ladies are brave 😉
My worst was winter formal in the 12th grade. My foundation was about 3 shades too light and my lipstick looked horrible with my faux skintone. My hair was done up in a bun with a struggle bang. I begged my mom to delete all photos from that night but she refuses to do so😂😂😂
when i died my box dye black hair box dye golden brown. With the Garnier hair color for dark hair....
my hair looked like a reverse ombre. and i thought i looks like the shit. So i would just keep dying it like that and my roots were super light and they would fade into medium brown and some spots had a hint of black. Some people thought it looked cute. At that time i was in high school and transitioning. I had like and asymmetrical mullet. I would straighten my bands and leave the rest wavy. My hair was really short. Eveyone loved my hair ! But its also super humid. And i was a teenager so i was bussin it everywhere. Id be out skating in the middle of the night and the humidity would hit and everything would fluffy up and be gross and fried. My hair was super fried from the dye, and transitioning. I just looked like a hot mess.
and then i had that golden brown hair and i would always wear blue eyeliner. But like really heavy blue eyeliner, along with blue mascara i found in Mexico.
Olive Juice this sounds so cute OMG
Best video eva!!! I had so many, growing up curly. I had what's affectionately known as a Jew 'fro. Oh, and to top it off? A RAT TAIL. Omg noooo, it's too horrible to speak of! 🐁🙅 The memories come flooding back, my brother mean nicknaming me Medusa. 😭
"Some people bald head, (which I am too) but I'm bald face"
BRUH nsjshsjshshsjab😂😂😭💀
"It never looked like Aaliyah, it looked like a struggle" 💀💀💀💀
3:33 That was actually cute
I shaved my eyebrows off when I was 7 but there were patches of hair still left. I used to flip my hair up (picture Linda from Bob's Burgers) when I was 11. I started to figure things out when I turned 14/15 haha
my biggest beuty mistake was getting my hair straight,it looked good but I damage hair follicles, made some bald spots and thin my hair a lot.
my biggest beauty mistake was getting a jheri curl over previously relaxed hair. OMG, I thought I was soon cute, but then my curls looked limp. I had to get my hair cut. Then I wore hot red lipstick and looked like a straight clown!!!! I know better now... 🙄🙁🙂
Evelyn is hilarious 😂😂 and Nikkis curls are 😍😍😍
Worst beauty mistake, okay
So back in 8th grade I had a friend that would always wear her hair natural in a Afro. Everyone loved it and I thought it was cute so uh, one day I decided to wear my hair out too (since it was always in braids). I did Bantu knots since they were the only natural hairstyle I knew at the time. Boyyyy now let me tell you how my hair fell out🤦🏽♀️. My hair was so long. I kept doing the Bantu knots everyday.....yes every single day for a whole year. My hair practically died😭. It just got shorter and shorter and the worst part is I didn’t realize it. Now imagine your hair reaching your back, (mid back) and then manipulating it every single day nonstop....no braids, nothing....just Bantus. My hair fell out to freaking collarbone length. I was so mad yo. Eventually I started learning more about natural hair and how to take care of it. Till this day whenever I hear the word “Bantu” I cringe. My hair is armpit length now when stretched. I’m still trying to grow it out😭. But the problem is my hair grows slow.
Does anyone have any tips on how to grow it out faster?!!
If your hair colour fades, and you don't want to put another colour, use a direct dye, it's a stain, causes zero damage, mix a little deep conditioner in with it to make it pastel, or a little Olaplex no.3 in to repair it at the same time too
Let me first say that I am very white. Like, transparent white. And before my hormones decided that some serious weirdness needed to happen with pre-menopause and bless me with 2C/3A hair, my hair was so very, very straight. No, it would not hold a curl, a braid, a ponytail, a bobby pin, or a damn thing.
So, in eighth grade, I begged my mom to let me get a perm. Y'all can already hear the ominous theme music in the background. Mom finally relented, and 13 year old Kate got to sit her ass in the salon chair for 2.5 hours.
And came out with the auburn version of Ronald McDonald hair. I went from stick straight almost to my shoulders to super coiled kinky curled right at my earlobes. And with glasses, no sense of style, and zero makeup skills? That look went over as well as you'd expect.
I want to personally thank you for sharing your story. I literally laughed out loud. I'm sure it was heart wrenching at the time, but I'm glad you're able to laugh at it now.
Evelyn girl, I feel your struggle. My brows are naturally like a dead bush. I filled them in for like two years, but then I was blessed with learning what eyebrow dye was and I haven't filled my brows in since. I got refectocil light brown and dark brown dye that I mixed together and it works like magic. That shit blessed my brows and it lasts for over a month.
that brown lip liner/gloss combo actually looks amazing on you !
what you said about the thin hair with that swoop! BABYYYY it brought back so many horrible memories lol! Then no eyebrows, I refuse to do my eyebrows i'll keep them thin like yours use to be.
I once tried to dye my hair blue. I have really thick hair, and at the time my hair was super long as well, so there actually wasn't enough hair dye in the box that I bought for my whole head. I didn't want to walk into school with my hair not all the way done so I found a box of old purple hair dye and old green hair dye. I ended up getting a little too crazy with it and my hair was SO UGLY for so long. There were patches of blue, and green, and purple, and places I'd neglected that were just my natural blonde... I was a mess.
The more videos of your guys that I watch, I realize you have some the of BEST personalities on RUclips. You girls are awesome.
I swear to GOD these women are so damn funny and relatable! I love them so much!!
This entire video had me in tears!! Evelyn is sooo me !! lololol
love this! thank you for making me laugh & remember my own beauty mistakes. I was once obsessed with bronzer & blusher & I'd plant great big balls of dark drowsy pink dust on my cheeks that were sparkling too haha. bearing in mind I have really really high chubby cheeks & high cheek bones so I looked like a clown! I give myself a break I was only 16 hahaa. thanks to my older sister it didn't last long 😂
Worst mistake: I got a weave back in the 80s. I washed my hair one night and put it in a ponytail and went to sleep. I woke up with the ENTIRE back of my head MATTED where the weave and my hair clashed. I had to cut it out. There was a HUGE hole in the back of my head. I pulled the top and sides back into a ponytail for about 8 months until the back grew out enough to cut it all short. That was so TRAUMATIZING that I NEVER TOUCHED A WEAVE OR WIG AGAIN. EVER.
I NEED a friend like Evelyn in my life 😩
My biggest blunders was the period of 10-18 where my mom basically left me on my own with my hair and i have curly hair and she didnt know how to deal with it and i didnt either. So i tried everything from mousse to just leaving it. Mousse never held my hair. So i looked a frizzy and damaged mess. So i just ended up straightening it for like 5 years and got some gnarly hear damage. Thanks caroline.
Me and my mom were watching and we dying of laughter.Evelyn is so funny.
I cut my own bangs when I was in high school, my mom (not a cosmetologist) did my perms. So I really thought I had thin hair. Then I went part time natural my senior year and high school because I wore sew ins but permed my leave out. Wheeew and before the bangs I tried that Emo swoop and black eyeliner. 😭. There are so many things I can't even think of lmao
I did the be chop and then I missed weave . So then I glue weave on and it was fine I do it all the time. I have an invisible cab . So a track came off so I tried to glued it back on and it was on my real hair in the back . So I had to cut off some more
Over plucking my eyebrows and trying to put blue over bleached hair, it just turned green and everyone asked how much of a Packer fan I was.🙄
I know hair dyeing struggles Ev but I think you looked great with the red.
I feel you Evelyn! I also have to color in my non-existent eyebrows
During 8th grade and even 9th grade, were the years of my makeup experimenting. I decided that makeup could literally change your features and no one would notice. Soooooo I decided I wanted droopy eyes rather than my upturned eyes and would apply black eyeliner in the inner portion of the eyes (and only there). Furthermore I decided I wanted bigger lips so I would completely over draw them and apply literal white at the top as it would "appear larger if it's lighter". I looked like a confused clown who had no idea who they were.
Evenlyn, what lipstick are you wearing? It looks so good on you!
Y’all be having me in stitches 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
in middle school i thought you didn't need to use foundation when you used concealer. So i walked around with kinda orange toned spots of concealer on my "flaws" (there was literally nothing wrong with my skin in 5th grade, i just wanted to be a big girl and wear make-up), my friend did the same so we were called the "concealer gang" for about 1 year, brutal.
4:12 did she just say what we’re ur biggest beauty BLENDERS?😂😂😂
Biggest beauty blunders.
Since I am like the palest person with wavey to straight as a pin hair depending on the day. I thought it would be a good idea to not brush my hair for a month since "I diddent need to." Yeah that hurt since my friend made me let her brush my hair.... It was matted at the lover back of my head and took two hours which is torture for my extra tender head...
I absolutely love Evelyn!
Im hollering!!! it looked like neglected....
Going to a random salon when my mother told me it was time to start plucking my brows. I was 12 or 13. The lady at the salon waxed them almost entirely off. It was like Kate Moss used to have except more asymmetrical and terrible. Like, they didn't even start in the same place. And one had an arch and the other was a thin brown line of despair. Even now they aren't back to where they once were. I'm 32. That's 20 YEARS of brow regrowth.
bye nikki, the lipliner look looks good!!!!! lmao that's my current beauty "mistake", down to the little girl beauty supply fruit flavored clear lip gloss. i like it.
mine was getting side swooped bangs which I straightened every morning
My worst I think was only parting my hair on the left side because that side got the most damage when straightening because the attention of brushing straightening was only on the left and IDK if that's the cause but now my hair is less defined on.the left even though I've been switching recently
Because of stories like these I never even attempted to alter my natural looks, I am so awkward already, I can't handle any more LOL but I should be braver, I love you guys
NIKKI IS SO BEAUTIFUL 😍
the aaliyah part had me so weak. 😂
I don't understand... are the spots were there because of biotin ? Cause I have this problem right now and I'm starting to take biotin, will it make it worse ?
evelyn's makeup looks amazing here!
"I couldn't go full super saiyan" I LOVE EVELYN OML
Evelyn always has me dying of laughter
"It looked like NEGLECT." Y'all are hilarious. 😂😂😂
Evelyn CRACKSSS ME UPPP
Ev, stop saying the word ugly , you are beautiful; and on top of that funny. we all make stupid mistakes with our hair that just dont look right but ugly is a strong word!!! i dyed my hair red and it fell out ! i panicked at the breakage and dyed it black but instead it tuned green , so the hair that didnt break off was green!now that was ugly
Evelyn kept me laughing so hard and it's 1 am in the morning.
Evelyn!!! 😂😂😂
Hmmm.... it would say the time I let my curling iron (which was OLD and gold) get a liiiiiitle too hot. Yup... singed a piece right off!!! thankfully it was in a spot could hide and blend in.
My beauty blunders are probably foundation/eyeshadow/eyeliner related because I never really wore lipstick, and the lipgloss I used was a rosy pink color
When I was younger I had hair down to my mid back. (I'm three c btw) and I live in one the the most humid places in the world. I hadent trimmed my hair or nothing for 7 years and I used to brush my hair dry!!! It was so bad. The matting and just everything. No. but I've grown
My biggest mistake... straighten my hair... to the point of Cher straight and then blenching it. :/ and now (no surprise) I have doing lots of damage control to try about save my type 2 hair.
Mine was having straight, middle parted hair. Naturally, my hair is wavy, and I suit a side parting, but my mom didn’t even think to go “you know, middle parting really ain’t you’re style.” Now I’ve cut it to shoulder length, dyed it darker, and let it be wavy
Freshman in high school, I had braids for a month. Took them out hadn't washed it or anything. So I had the dumb idea to play with a lighter in front of a mirror, my hair went up in flames sooooo fast. Thank the Lord I was outside of the kitchen & immediately ran to the sink to put the fire out. I had a nice bald spot for months. I was glad that my whole head wasn't bald & also I had a hair appointment the next day. I couldn't explain what happened to my hair because my mom was there & she would have been so mad. For months I had to style my hair with a part & gel down the front. I failed at it myself 😭 my stylist, older sister, and friends (especially after gym) would hook me up, I love them. To this day my mom claims to not know what happens she was downstairs in her room & I was up stairs, but my younger sister was like no way it was smoky upstairs for like 3 days you could really smell my burnt hair smh it was terrible.
i did my own eyebrows around 7th grade and loved plucking my brows and looking at the hair and the little clear thing from the roots of my brows so i went overboard and it looked like my eyebrows started about a centimeter from where it was supposed to start and i looked like the grinch (i can't think of any other comparison)
Girls..... omg!!!! Can top you though! I have naturally 3a/b curly red haired,
Anyhow buttons on phones!!!! 😠 curly red hair, and I permed it because what does curly hair need, but an 80's perm!!!! Ginger pubes such a good look in high school which is not a hard time at all in a persons life!!! Ahhh the 80's I do miss them.
evelyn is everything 😂😂😂
OMG! I was laughing so hard throughout this whole video. Lol
Omg Biotin really messed me up as well! I had the legit same experience with Biotin 😓
2:15 to 2:35 I’m literally ball face can’t some cracking up
I plucked my eyebrows in middle school but only did the ends so the front were way thicker than the ends. I tried to cut my own bangs but gathered way too much hair so it came out too big and the bang to the rest of my hair ratio was way off. I accidentally shaved too much of the front of my eyebrow and had to try to cover it up with my thick ass bangs, didn't work
Eeep, Erica, what helped you with the cystic acne set off by the biotin?
Love Love love this!!!!!!!
My biggest beauty blunder? I relaxed my hair when I was 11 years old. 11!!! I'm white but my hair is naturally very curly. The only other curly haired people in my family were men and my grandmother. All of them had always had short hair. So no one knew what to do with mine. It just kept matting up no matter how much my dad brushed it. So they relaxed it. The breakage was SEVERE. I have weak white hair that doesn't do well with perm. Luckily after it wore off and I got a big chop, my hair almost went completely back to normal! Now I know how to take care of it thanks to RUclips. I was able to grow my hair out super long thanks to this channel actually lol.
Definitely did the black lip liner!
Evelyn I know the eyebrow struggle, but I'm too lazy to do anything them. I may get them microbladed.
I laughed so hard at Evelyn's Wiz hair I almost choked 😂
OMG don't even let me start on zis... As an asian girl if I dye my hair lighter without bleaching it will go brassy yellow no matter what dye I use, and I didn't know this. I was going for a medium brown. Apparently my hairdresser who had cool toned pink pale skin who was obviously a natural blonde had no idea of the dark hair struggle either and used too little blue (or purple?) toner, and my hair went, bright, orange. I called another salon and redyed it the next day =_=.
“It looked like neglect” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😭 done just done
My family won't let me live it down that I cut my own bangs in my late elementary years (i was a 90s child, we always had the CURLED BANGS). I had maybe 2 inches of bangs afterwards. I have not had a straight fringe ever since. I've rocked this asymmetrical swoop for the last 19 years of my life! Including my last 4 years natural. There was also the incident of greasing my scalp for my mom when i was 7. She had to buy a whole new jar of jam cause the one i had was empty...
Last one, i wore a clip on ponytail for Like 2 years when i started middle school. My mom was just as bad! We wore them like they were our self grown hair! Then we found the bald spots on the crown of our heads. Mine is still slightly thinner than the rest all these years later, but it grew back and we never stuck another comb in our heads again lol. I watch my mom if i see she found something she likes. But i see the trauma in her eyes and she puts it down QUICK.
My biggest hair mistake was put Sun in in it
It damage my curl texture a made it look orange
Bruh I LIIIIVE for yall!
The time I bleached my entire head red. It was suppose to be a pink and purple ombre, however it ended out red and my edges were burnt off. On top of that , I cut a chunk of my hair taking out my crochet braids weeks later. The struggle.
