Can anyone tell me if this would be suitable/good at printing 3d lettering, I mean ive seen that it can do this on the website, but would I be limited to a certain amount of styles of lettering? Also is it recommended to always use this machine with the filament that would be sold by the company or just making sure its of a similar quality. I am a real newbie to 3d printing but have some great idea's for my own buisness if I can make it cost effective. Anyone who could lend me there advice would be much appreciated.

Have a Taz6. I would think your new printers would at least come with a filament sensor standard now. A removable flexible bed would be nice. Power resume? Wifi, touch screen. Seems like only thing new is belt for z axes. Lulzbot reliable yes, but wheres the innovation? or even parity with other big name 3d printer companies feature wise.
Hope Lulzbot's are coming down in price. I can't justify a Taz 7 at Taz 6 prices ($2500), with only new extruder assembly and z belt.
    Still running 8bit main board?

nuroo I have to agree. The whole made in America thing is no excuse to charge an ungodly amount for a printer with all of its features ripped straight from the reprap project.

Thank you! This is exactly what i keep saying!!! Over pricing, no innovation, etc. Good customer service is not worth it when your paying like 10x as much as you would normally pay for 3d printing stuff.

What kind of firmware is running on this printer? Some kind of marlin?

We use Marlin firmware, and more importantly, contribute our improvements back upstream to the Marlin community.
