Why is this printer $1500 lmao.... i just picked up a vive dino troodon for the same price and its print volume and coreXY is amazing.... honestly confused why it cost so much lol
As an owner of a mini1 and mini 2, all I can say is stay away from the mini 2. Junk. Worse I contact Lulzbot and get nothing but blow off standard relies designed to get rid of you. When you need to stick washers between the bed and top washer on one side putting the bed OUT of level to get a print, something is wrong. If you don't believe me, then check the forms. Ongoing issues that they want no part of.
@@Lulzbot3D My Mini2 came originally with the current sense settings way off (huge grinding as it slammed into the left side), a z-offset not set but I said, no problem I can handle it. I used my Mini 1 for large parts and the Mini 2 for small things once is seemed to work. We moved house in Covid, took 6 months off. Get here, try to dial in the Mini 2 and find the bed - washer - leveling issues talked about in the forums. I contacted support. Got the standard - update firmware and Cura. Of course that did nothing, and I spent more days working saw a bit of progress and then you blew me off with 'well done'. I sent back a question and radio silence. Just what am I to think? I used to stand on the tallest mountain shouting your machines praise. My Mini 1 is a tank. 6 years old and just keeps printing. Perfect every time. I love the thing. I've got 2 washers between the glass top and the washers (left side). Let me be clear. This is not shimming under the rubber mount to level the plate, this is shimming on top of the glass under the washer. A little more than 1 mm in total. I have to 'cheat' the level to get a first layer. It has to see the washer 'sooner' to give it a false reading on level for the left side. This is the only way to get a z-offset that almost produces a good first layer. I'm retired and on a fixed income. This is a net loss for me. The best I think I can do is sell this for parts or experimentation for someone brave and get something I can use that wont BE the project. I've been working on this for over 6 weeks now.
Thank you, I find this vedio to be very help full and will like you to make many more!
Cool. Thanks for the video :-)

Offer an option/video to upgrade the lulzbot mini 1.04 to a 2 or at least some form of upgrade. The printer is a workhorse but could use some tweaks.
rivera82falcon you dont want to upgrade. The belted system stinks. The other upgrades such as lcd, extruder and bed can be done already.
@@StuffWithKirby I appreciate the heads up. I'm thinking about converting the mini to a hypercube anyways. Need to read up and research more.
@@StuffWithKirby why does it suck is it not more quiet?
Great printer but 3.00mm filament? Really?
Davis Drake 3mm is better for flexible materials. 3rd party vendors make 1.75 extruders otherwise.
@@StuffWithKirby Because you want a to upgrade a 1500$ machine. It's way too expensive.
That's one big belt buckle.

Hello Chris,
The Mini 2 is a machine we build each and every day reliability. Is there something we could do to help you with your machine?
