@@freedomforestlife Made it and it was absolutely excellent! Making my second batch as we speak - there is an abundance of dandelions where I walk so I am able to forage gently. Thank you again for the video!
Amazing how the greenish pulp in the saucepan turned into the golden deliciousness at the end. I love dandelion in salad but had less success with dandelion wine - it was like drinking rocket fuel! A couple of years after I poured it down the sink, I was at a posh dinner where the wine tasted exactly the same as my rejected dandelion vintage 🤣🤣🤣
Ha, yeah, I never thought of that whilst I was making it Karen! Funny! Thats so funny about your wine 🤣... I know my cider gets better with age for sure 💛 ✌️🌿
Hi hello lovely lady , when it's come to dandelion, every part of the plants are edible (flowers, leaves, roots) the roots are grilled and used like coffee and of course the leaves are used as salad or it can be cooked like spinach! Many thanks for sharing with us , I must try that honey recipe big bisous from 🇫🇷
Hey Marie, thanks for your lovely message - Dandelions are fabulous aren't they 💛 I've not tried doing the coffe yet, but I will get round to it too ... Let us know what you think of the honey when you make it - Thanks for watching and for your lovely comment ✌️🌿
I learned of the nutritional value of this plant 3 years ago, sometimes I will simply pluck a flower, blow the wee beasties out and eat it, tried making the coffee but wasn't impressed - I'm going to try your recipe, thank you for the video
This is AWESOME to hear Nneka, They have so many uses and the whole of the plant is edible ... you often find the roots or leaves in tea or Dandelion coffee (i've not made the coffee yet though), I remember my herbalist talking about lots of their medicinal values back in 2020, but I need to refresh my brain for exactly what ... good liver cleanser/detoxer though it is said ... I remember that much 😃 Thanks for being with us as always - enjoy 💛✌️🌿

Wow thats so easy! I'm going to give it a go soon. Just a Q about sterilising the jars, 20 mins in the oven at about what temperature?

Why the huge amount of sugar though? The insulin spike must be horrendous after a teaspoon of that honey.
Its only when you start making preserves that you realised how much sugar is in them ! This has the same ratios as most jams have ✌️🌿
