One thing I noticed since I started using dandelion honey is that my hayfever is gone. I used to suffer from February to November and it has totally disappeared now. I like to pour it over my pancakes 😋

I like making dandelion sun tea...i take flowers and place in a large glass jar or tea pot with a lid and fill with water i leave it out in the lawn with the dandelions for ruffly 24 hours...strain and add sugar to taste Its very mild but so yummy and probably full of nutrition you could probably fermented it easily i have made wine b4 with mixed results i prefer this sunshine tea works best on very sunny days
Wonderful recipe, a great family activity, indeed. Well done! I picked some dandelions yesterday and was trying to find a recipe video for making dandelion honey. Here I found your recipe which is really simple to follow. I will pick some more dandelions today and make my honey. Thank you very much for sharing. What a great video! I came over to join you guys 🙂 I really did not know you could do that! Saw Simone doing this and had to come over and see it myself. What a lovely place you live at. The green hills... oh my! Educational too 👏🏽 Thanks for sharing this with us all! Xx
Great dandelion honey recipe. First of all, the place where you picked the dandelions is beautiful! I think I saw a lot of English daisies in the field, too? I would not have thought about boiling the dandelions with lemon, but I am sure it would be great. That one pot made a lot of dandelion honey! It would make the perfect gift, I think. Great work!
I'm making it right now using a Erythritol Monkfruit blend. I've made jelly already using part white sugar. The syrup will be a gift for my brother who is diabetic. Found a nice bottle too at a thrift store! 🎉❤ Jelly is maybe too sweet.
@@homeiswhereourheartis it actually didn't turn out in the syrup. But it worked as a jelly. I try to cut down on the sugar. (I'm going to try and turn into jelly with pectin). I did 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1 1/4 cups of the Erthritol Monkfruit blend when I made a jelly initially and it turned out. Tastes yummy too! 😊
Did our Dandelion honey last night...didn't quite have enough brown sugar so we had to sub in some white...but WOW!! it still turned out great!! Thanks for your video👍🏻👍🏻😁

I am definitely trying this! Thank you! I use dandelion root to make a sort of coffee substitute and the flowers to make dandelion wine. I hadn't heard of the honey till now.
This is so interesting! I've never seen this made before. We eat Keto, so we eat no sugar, but perhaps we can use one of our sugar alternatives in place of the brown sugar.
This is what I am wondering as well, did you ever have any success? I just did a quick search and found an article saying you can use erythritol and xanthan gum to make a syrup so maybe that would be an option, worth trying for those days you feel like a sweet treat!
Will try this. Had it once from a craft fair but the lady only used the petals and white sugar I think as it was a clear golden colour just like honey.delicious.
Nice! Last Spring I gathered a bunch of dandelion flowers and dried them for making tea. This Spring (now that I'm retired) I'll have to try making the syrup.
