Quick tip for anybody who's interested: if you soak these briefly in water and then scrub them gently with fine steel wool, they come very clean - almost white.

I loved this video 🙌🏽 The sweet aroma of the dandelion root is untouchable, but that looked a little too watery for me personally given I like mine extremely dark and rich. Seemed more like tea. I roast mine till it’s a darker color but not burnt and then I blend it in a coffee blender so it looks like cocoa powder. I’ll add a whole tablespoon to a French press and let it sit for 4 to 10 minutes with a cup of water then it’s extremely rich and dark. If you like a creamy milk substitute, I usually add hemp milk or oat milk with just a bit of honey. It’s absolutely amazing

I have so many dandelions in my lawn I actually encourage them... neighbours keep suggesting how to get rid of them, lol, shriek... no way... they are such a useful plant. Don't care what the neighbours think . Cheers. 😁🦘🐾🐨

It's about time this amazing plant was recognized for the super-food that it really is! I've been drinking this "coffee" for years and really enjoy it. With frothed milk, it makes a really convincing latte. I've recently started adding turmeric, which works well and adds even more nutritional value. I like that you say 160 to 180, because many people just give the hotter temperature, which doesn't work for me. I find that about 325 F works best for me, which falls at the lower range of your temps. When I get too hot it burns too quickly and I have to shuffle it around every 3-5 minutes to make sure it's not smoking up the oven. Nicely done! 🙂

Awesome, I really want to grow some pumpkins next year.
To get a richer flavour from your pumpkin you can roast it with your carrots.
I like to add a couple of apples instead of parsnips for that sweetness.

I very much enjoyed this video, but I did also strongly desire to pretend to be worried about the fact that I didn't have a heart-shaped pan, and ask whether or not the dandelion root would roast nicely in a rectangular pan. 😉

Thanks guys, I can't tell you how grateful I am to see this process, my great grandma used to make nettle tea and dandelion root coffee, and I never knew how to do it until now. So grateful for stumbling across your channel. I am going to try the dandelion honey too. I have some rosehips so I'm going to make the syrup tomorrow. I used them before to make a great winter drink for helping with colds and flu symptoms and my husband loved it.

I drink instant dandelion tea/ coffee that is manufactured in Scotland and it’s terrific.
0:35 is the grass stem touching your cap a rats tail grass ? I’m wondering how can we utilise this anti grazing grass as I have it in my pasture and it’s driving me crazy trying to get rid of it. I dig it out as opposed to poisoning it. But it’s a massive job. Is it useful in anyway ? It’s imported not native and it takes over the pasture in a very short time. Any helpful knowledge anyone ? Please.

Late Spring, I picked some roots, washed them, and left them to dry for 3 days.
Roasted them on the hob for around 10 minutes.
    They were so bitter.
    What doled I do wrong?

I definitely want to try making this at some point this year! I'm not a coffee drinker because coffee triggers my IBS like nothing else!! 😬
Since it doesn't have caffeine, I presume you don't get the energy boost you get with caffeinated coffee? Just asking because my boyfriend is a coffee nut and needs it to get through a work day. It'd be great if there was a healthy alternative I could make for him that also helps with energy levels.
Thanks again for another fantastic vid!
