my new favorite hooks are the owner long shank worm hook Tri cut point had one pierce the top of a catfish's head super Sharp
I'll definitely give them a try, but cut point edges usually rips out when I set the hook.
have you tried using a longer shank hook on your drop shot rig to place the hook farther in their mouth for better hook sets
I do have longer hooks but I forget to pack them.

I only go to Long Beach to go to go to that aquarium so I don't know the area to well

You should had asked them to take you to the other side rocks. Why hit the same spot if you have the other rocks jetty so close. I personally prefer fishing the other side. Keep fishing, love ur vids bro.
