So far, I have been enjoying my Z Fold 5. I pre-ordered it and got it on launch day. Switched from an iPhone, and so far, so good. I seem to be using both of the screens but mainly use the outside screen for quick things like responding to texts or quick things, but use the inside screen for everything else. Battery life has been really good and surprising and lasts me through the day and around the end of the day, around 15-20%.

I love it for 8 years when i upgraded to iphone new models i was like waow the phone is good amd after 30 min or so it was all done nothing new to discover now its a month and I am still amazed with the features day in day out it is this good. APPLE IS JUST A AVERAGE COMPANY WITH BORING AND RESTRICTED FEATURES.

Nice review! You are the best in this format. After using iPhone pro versions and Galaxy ultra for a few years, I am experiencing the fold for the first time. Incredible engineering! However, given the cost, it must pack the ultra camera, should get a little wider front screen, improved power button position, and dust resistance at some point. The camera situation is tricky. It seems that, given the price gap between the ultra and fold, Samsung is probably using the current camera differences as a differentiator. But mind the price, make it the best. Overall, a great productivity device!
Enjoyed this video. I ordered a Fold 5 after having a Flip 4 for about 1 year. Can't wait to start using it. I really am looking forward to the multi-tasking.
One hand or 2 hands, the Z Fold 5 is an absolute 💯 beast to fit all of my screen viewing needs. My folding phone expectations have been surpassed! 😊
The one point we’re missing with these foldable phone that Samsung realized, is that if the front display is just as big as a regular phone, people will hardly feel the need to unfold it.
That’s why I like the narrower screen. Because it reminds u to unfold if u want to immerse yourself in more activities on the phone.

Should higher your standards. If I'm buying a premium phone with that price tag I want the option to be mine when I unfold the device not be forced to because the front screen is too narrow for certain usage. I ain't looking for the unfold feature to solve the problem the folded feature is making . That's not the point of me buying a foldable phone .

The narrowness is to limit the phone size when it unfolds. If having a bigger front display means you have no reason to flip it open, then you really shouldn't be getting a fold5. Just get the s23 ultra. Aside from the folding feature, the s23 ultra is a better phone in every other aspect.

Love my Fold5. Wasn't sure if I'd keep it or stay with my Fold4, glad I kept it. I appreciate it more and more that it closes flat and the better battery stamina is great. The brighter screen is very helpful and all of these things combined make it a solid upgrade for me. Cheers
Great video! Shout out to UrAvgWifey. You have a beautiful family. I'm still on the Z Fold 4 and I'm still loving it. The cameras are definitely not it's strong point. Also, a wider outside screen with s-pen support would be great but it is a beautiful screen and using it for easy tasks hasn't been a problem.
It is nice that the Fold 5 can close flat now. It’s the small things that matter the most.
If camera and video quality is your concern then then the Galaxy Ultra series is what you should get.

15:00 Great job fixing it. You can’t tell it even broke. You should get that Tamiya Extra Thin Cement Quick Set Type for fixing plastics. Definitely helps with things like Gunpla, figures, and statues.
Anyway I’m still waiting for Apple to make their foldable phones.

I like the z fold form factor it can turn to a smaller device, easy to use on one handed.. i have huge fingers and i dont have problems with it, phone back years ago is small in the first place and no one complains about it
As a new parent I love the sections with you racing with austin. I will say that my z fold 4 has the same problem with my skin tone and my daughters despite hes being a much lighter skin tone. I rely on a lot of editing to make it look right. My wife's canon rebel t6 from a few years ago is way better in that regard.

I still have my zfold 4. I use my outer display as a secondary display for like messages and checking weather. If I do anything that might take time I'm on the inner one.
Any person who spends more time on the cover screen of a foldable phone are the same type of people who drive a Lamborghini Aventador to just buy groceries. Then they claim the car is not perfect because the trunk is too small. 😂

Honestly I dont know how but i got my Fold 5 a few days early and I have been loving it Battery lasts amazingly and it seems pretty durable so far Working Construction I was worried at first but havent had any issues

@@HughJanus987 honesty I have dropped it a couple times and had no issues yet battery has lasted and dust doesn't seem to bother the inside screen as much as I was worried it would

Battery lasted 1 day and 4 hours watching youtube, netflix all day... I am really amazed with this device! That snapdragon gen 2 is a huge upgrade
I spent 2h on YT, 2 hours in IG, a few hours between discord, texting, snap and other apps and i still had 48% left at the days end. so 6 hours SoT and near half battery left is a massive improvement. that was also mostly the internal large screen.

@howardsmith2925 I got the icy blue with the icy blue case and it still feels so lite in the hands. Also got the watch 6 classic 47mm and I love it also
I'd love to get the pixel fold, the folded aspect ratio is awesome, but they have to do something about the battery dude. My ZenFone 9 is currently on 77% battery and I have 3.5 hours on screen time with web browsing and video watching on medium volume. When using cloud gaming (gamepass, PS remote play) it's basically 10% for an hour of gaming, WITH a controller directly attached. And ZenFone 9 is a tiny phone dude.
Your the 1st one to say you prefer the volume button lower like the pixel, everyone else hates it, because of accidently presses, I don't think it being lower is a good thing

Upgraded from the Fold 3 because I was having screen and hinge issues. Honestly, aside from the brighter screen, better camera and much better S-Pen case this feels like the exact same phone. I can't believe they're still charging $1,800. I only paid around $800 for the upgrade after trading the old one in, but still.
Keeping the $1800 price tag makes me hesitant to upgrade from the Fold 4 to 5

In my opinion I think Samsung did this on purpose so that you will open it more, if you were to have a bigger screen without opening it than what's the point? Awesome video, I just ordered mine coming from 15 Pro Max. Wish me luck, I'm so excited and scared.

I bought the Pixel Fold through Verizon, so eventually with monthly credits it will be a $900 phone. I don't like the 36 month program, but it is what it is. The phone has been great other than the battery life and charging. I have used both Android and IOS devices, and I am coming off of the iPhone 14 Pro Max. It seems weird using that device now, as the screen feels really tall. I like IOS and how well it works in the ecosystem, but I really wanted to try a folding device. So far so good. I also traded my iPad Pro for a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+, and it has been great so far as well. I don't think I will ever go back to windows though. As far as the Samsung Fold devices, that outside screen is too narrow for me.

I’m in the same boat but I’m definitely getting the fold 5. Android is actually very polished now, and it’s a beautiful phone. Basically and iPad and iphone for the price of 1, you can’t beat that. I had a 13 pro max but I’m tired of apple and it’s minor upgrades each year. Pull the trigger bro, you won’t be disappointed.

i only get 4-5 hrs max of screen on time for some reason and i hear some part loose inside the phone and make noice when i shake the phone a bit

Yeah, wondering how people get all these massive SOTs. My Fold 4 gets 5-6 hours, but sometimes less. I assume people use it constantly playing media or browsing social media to get those times.

16:52 why do tech RUclipsrs always talk about the price of the phone like it's some drastic issue? They always bring up the prices if it's just so big of a mountain to overcome if somebody wants the device. As if every carrier and Samsung themselves doesn't offer a significantly large discount for trading in a device.
@UrAvgConsumer I use both of my screens on my Galaxy Fold4. For social media and for RUclips. I have even watched a movie on the cover screen before. So, I get use out of both the screens, not just the main screen.

The skin tone issue seems to have been improved, especially on the S devices, but it used to be quite bad. It's no wonder, though, since a lot of Asian countries have very little melanin holder representation lol.

Hey man, love your reviews, but I have to disagree on a few things. The volume button placement is right where it should be. If it was any lower the balance of the phone would be off - almost like it was about to fall out of your hand because you'd be holding it too low down. Also, when mentioning the screen comparison vs the pixel - you didn't say anything about the bezels! Pixel unfolded looks like an old Dell monitor man 😂

As a melanin customer who uses an S23 Ultra , I have zero complaints . However I wish Samsung put that camera into a nearly $18 device than to put the cheaper Base S23 camera . That was a deal breaker for me. I think they should have an Ultra version that uses that camera, and this one should cost $1k and the Ultra should cost $13k.
