    SABC interviewing the wrong ppl. The big problem in SA is the Prosecuting Authority, one of the most incompetent if not the most incompetent justice wing in SA. SAPS can even arrest the entire country if need, NPA has the lowest charge and also the lowest conviction rate in the history of South Africa.

      As a former police officer i agree. I remember one of my suspects greeting me the following day in the same area i had arrested them. You just lose energy to keep on keeping on

    if this is still under SAPS, it's a waste of time. This should be handled militarily. We need intervention of all NSA. MTHATHA needs to implement curfew program from 7-5 in the morning. Close all roads during the day doing road blocks doing clean up. Starting from the Taxi ranks cleaning them cause that's where everything starts. 6 months of road blocks Nd curfew. Have search warrants for everything. Enter even house holds. Otherwise it'll just be a play.

    Had three instances of our employees being hijacked at fuel stations, driven out of town and extorted - to the point they're insisting the company pays a ransom to get vehicles back. The issue has been resolved every time by tracker security intervention - nobody arrested though. The place is a disaster area.

    Who are victims supposed to report this type of crime to if the police are involved with the extortion mafia? Witnesses being threatened and police refusing file cases. Most cases do get reported because of fear of the criminals in the police. Crime will only get under control once the police are cleaned up with high ranking ANC Cadres being fired.

    Police must also investigate if there’s a link between this extortion and foreign nationals especially Somalians. We must not forget that we allowed Somali pirates to settle in our country, and they need business spaces to conduct their activities. Last year or so, the Somalis burned many taxis in Eastern Cape, and nothing has been done; no one was arrested.

    This thing is happening all over South Africa.In Pretoria inner city residents are paying community scheme fee and storage fee as part of levy.When you ask the trustees what is that money for.Trustees have no answer but the money is deducted from the residents.This is done by the property agents and trustees.
