Yvette you just set me free😢. I looked at all the cabinets and said I am not going to buy a plant to admire, to lock it up to admire it. I just purchased some anthirium and alocasia they are growing without cabinets. So far so good. You're right when I think about my beginning I killed them with love and zero knowledge. Love your channel. Have a wonderful day.
I'm so glad this hit the spot. FREEDOM...I 💚 that!! We enjoy these plant babies a lot more when they aren't stressing us out. You have a great day as well.
Thank you, Sis, I have had a few houseplants. However, I didn't bring my plants when returning to Texas. I gave them away. And didn't restart for several years. Educating my houseplants' knowledge has been added to MY ALWAYS LEARNING process. You're A+ GEM ❤
MariLuv I am trying to wrap my head around leaving my plants behind. I've done it in the past, but this time hits different. I definitely have one that I'd need to find a home with a family member. I'm glad you're enjoying these videos. I'm cooking up some ideas for us, so stay tuned. I can't wait to share the info I'm learning on plant and root development (as I read that back, that sounds so NERDY🤣)
This is a great list. I agree we introduce so many plant posts with an "exotic" collection. The bugs want gourmet food as well. They love it! I was lost about repotting as well. I never repotted my plants. Great video!
I totally relate to #6 and 7. I remember being so afraid to chop my first pothos, yes, the same fear as making a mistake in knitting. Thinking back, I think it was begging for a chop. At the time, I had no idea plants had their own set of bugs and I lost some of my favs😢. Thanks for the video!
It took forever but my mom finally convinced me to do it. I did feel better after I saw its healthy babies growing. That was years ago. Now I don’t even think twice about propagating 😀.
I have Velvet Leaf Philodendrons with humidity and a clear partition to keep heat and AC off my leaves. I do not have bugs because 3 times a year I use Bonside Insecticide. I will not release bugs in my house to eat other bugs. 🪴Happy Planting🌿
Yeah, that seems to be a thing in the plant community right? Releasing these "beneficial insects" to feed on houseplant pests....yeah Im not sure I want that smoke either Ms. Lady June...although I think ladybugs are cute.
Thank you!!! I feel like this was just for me. I thought those same things..I got the cute plants and all I did was water and maybe move around to get the right amount of sun. This is a great video for beginners. and I'll never use outside dirt again😂😂😂
Sondra, I still chuckle when I think about it....I tell you what though, those lessons you never forget. I can't tell you how many times the trash can has kept my secrets.
Very useful information!! I too, never knew that plants had their own bugs until this year… I guess I was blessed with not having any in just a handful of plants at a time… The cabinets are beautiful but I’m much too lazy to set something like that up…. lol… I’d rather expend it on the plants themselves 💛 Thank you for sharing all your helpful topics ❣️❣️ …..And your plants are gorgeous ❤️
So nice of you Blanche and you are so welcome. I feel the same way, let's put that energy into supporting the plants so together we 🪴 can live our best lives right?
Hi Yvette , I had to learn the hard way . Yes, some plant babies simply do not match your home, and my plant babies are not zoo animals ( which I hate seeing ) placed behind glass enclosures .
Exactly Linda. I live vicariously through the people who can grow syngoniums....I digress🤣 Cabinet plants clearly don't want to be there right...who'd want to be locked up after living in fresh air with warm rain and plenty of humidity surrounded by planty friends? I just can't.

Girl. Droppin’ STRAIGHT knowledge! SO MANY good points!
Thank you Shimmy💚. I'm so glad you appreciated this one.

I look forward to you sharing your research on roots and leaves. That process is amazing!
I can't wait! That whole symbiotic relationship is just fascinating. I would go back to school for it if I wasn't too tired of "working".

That's the right word for those plants...exotic. I'm so glad this resonated Rachael.

I'm curious Jan, what made you chop your first pothos and were you more confident as a plant parent afterwards?

Excellent video! 😊 I feel the same way about cabinets. They're beautiful in someone else's house. I'm too lazy for that. 😂
Thanks Sis, I was a little nervous about this one. People feel strongly about their Milsbo.

Adding “pest friends” to my vocabulary
Yes, they are the DEBIL!!
Hey Sis, It's Tammy (54). This video was so funny and soooo true! I am binge steaming your videos and I have loved them all.
Thx for being you!
You are so welcome Tammy. Thank you for telling me that. I really needed that today.😍. Enjoy Sis.
Yes, recovering plant killer here
We gonna get you straight Sis. Hang with us.
No plants in closets 😂
It won't allow me to like the video
