    I didn't realize how many times I said "peperomia obtusifolia" until I was editing. Even though that IS the video topic...please pretend I didn't say it 50,000 times 😂

    Mine is named Pepi 😊 which was easy to come up with but for the spelling it means He Who Belongs to the Sun. Pretty cool and I saw that they can live up to 5 - 10 years so fingers crossed 🤞 🌱 also great video yours is the first that popped up for Peperomia Obtusifolia 'Marble'

    Thank you! Mine is a few years old and I need to repot it. The very bottom leaves are yellow. If I clip them off and plant the stem lower in the soil will it root properly?

    Hi I enjoyed your video, thank you. I have a question regarding the leaves of my peperomia obtusifolia. Some of them are curled in😢. Why is that? I tried different things, watering, not watering, put it outside, but nothing seems to work. I've looked for a video that explains why, but i can't find any. Hope you can help. Thank you😊

    • @wyatthouck1005
      @wyatthouck1005 6 месяцев назад +2

      lol i’m late but it depends on the curl, given the thicker structure of these leaves, sometimes if they form curled when younger they stay like that for an extended period. mine has a couple that came out curled/funky, they pretty much stayed the same, mildly aged out of it eventually

    I have a baby rubber plant and i noticed the leaves turning green. I didnt know it needed more light. When i notice the leaves get soft, so i will water it and someone told me I've overwatered it. But i didnt bcuz they got firmer after but ive moticed leaves dropping after. I want the varigation to come back so ive been using a grow light but I dont think its working. My room at my parents place gets more light, i think should being it to their place 🤔 the soil it has looks like theres coco coir. I dunno if i should change it or not. Its growing slowly.

    Hello. Thank you for this video. It was very informative. I have some brown spots on the underside of my peperomia. Is this fungus or is this the result of it being under watered? Thank you.

  • @neny1009

    All Perperomias I’ve ever tried having get brown spots on the underside of the leaves and then it spreads to the other leaves. What can that be ?

    hi, how deep into the soil do i plant it if there are root growing on the node above the bottom leaves

    • @wyatthouck1005
      @wyatthouck1005 6 месяцев назад

      mine came from the nursery, and grew additional afterwards, with the bottom leaf coming out of the soil. i don’t think it’s any harm to plant the stem of the leaf below the dirt, just don’t let too much of the leaf material itself set into the soil

    I got a peperomia obtusifolia variegeta last week and the leaves are turning brown and mushy. Is there any way I can save my plant?

    • @SproutsandStems
      @SproutsandStems  2 года назад +1

      Oh no! It sounds like rot. Remove the mushy leaves and let the soil dry out before you water again. Or, if the majority of the plant is affected, you can cut off/try to propagate the healthy parts. Good luck!

      @@SproutsandStems I'm new to this so I don't know what a root rot looks like. I tried to check the roots but I can't clearly see them because it is covered in soil.also the soil smells kinda funky if that makes sense. Is it better to repot the plant for the time being😢

    How to keep them straight up? Mine is falling over.

    • @SproutsandStems
      @SproutsandStems  Год назад

      Once they reach a certain size they’ll become too top heavy to stand straight up. If the falling over is damaging the plant you can give it some kind of support to rest against (like a moss pole!)
