- Propagation and pruning your plant is a great way to encourage new growth and branches. Here are the super easy ways that I tried to make new free peperomia plants from leaf cuttings and stem cuttings by rooting them both in soil and in water. Here is short video where I tried to share all the stages of propagation with you. Thanks for watching❤️.

Thank you. This gives me hope for my cutting. I took a cutting from my MIL'S houseplant the day after her funeral.
I took cuttings from several of my dad's plants after he passed. Taking care of them is a true joy and helps me feel connected to him. I hope your cutting rooted and grew!
You make propagating easier and more fun than it already is. Thankyou!
Thanks for the kind words...it motivates me a lot!😊
I didn't even know what a baby rubber plant was until yesterday. Now I have propagated my first little plants (using the node + rooting hormone + soil method)! Thanks so much for all the helpful info! I'm so excited to see these plants grow into beautiful ones like you have! 😊
Glad I could help!
You’ve made a wonderful demonstration from beginning to end, thank you!
I’d never grown a peperomia (baby rubber plant) before until a few months ago and I just love it, it’s such a hearty beautiful plant and easy to care for, and I wanted more! Each stem I have has grown 1 foot so I’ll get busy propagating mine with both the stem and leaf cutting method that you’ve shown works so well. I can’t wait for roots👏🏻💕🙌🏻!
I have this plant and have never thought to propagate it. Thank you for sharing.
I have recently bought this flower and i am really thankful to you for sharing your video in detail
Most welcome 😊
Very nice and clearly explained. Thanks a lot. I have peperomia from years but didn’t know it can be propagated so easily. Thanks again🙏
Thanks Shrikant
Love how you showed progress over time! Very helpful video
I was so worried. Being a beginner, I propagated just the leaf and thought it needed the stem and node bc some other plants won’t root with just the leaf and stem lol so thank you 😊
Glad I could help!
it takes lot of patience to do these kind of videos. thank u for the great content
Eager to see a grown up plant from these cuttings
Hi Harini...I have already shared the update video in my channel, you can check it out.

Rubberplant / peperromia so nice. I didn't know that leaves can be propagated. Your awesome. Their roots r so healthy. Sometimes I was disappointed with some of my plants they died. Now I can pick leaves n dip in water so I can have another new plants. Thanks

Can I grow from cutting now ....best season for growing
@@taxwallahshorts4421 Hi... hot and humid environment is best for rooting the cuttings. You Can try this during spring and summer months.
Wow very nice method mam .Thanks for sharing.
So Glad that you liked it
Wow so useful video on small rubber plant 👍👌🤗🤗🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Thank you! My only question would be- did you have success with the leaves sprouting new shoots? I have no luck with leaves and more success with leaf plus node cutting. Let me know bc I will keep them longer if they ever do grow from a single leaf. I know the ficus plant can't grow from leaves but they root good. It's odd. But thank you!
Agreed can someone say if they’ve grown a new plant from leaf cutting? They grow roots but I suspect they do not grow a new plant.
Great video. Very informative
Glad you liked it
Very good results of all of your cuttings.
Thank you!😊
This is a looooooooong process. I have a few leaf propagating from this same type of plant. Its been a few months and its onload a few roots.
Wow, what you did is amazing.
Thank you!😊
I'm so thankful for the info I have one rubber plant so I know how to propagate. I don't know why all wants rubber plants. GOD BLESS
Hi Maria...I'm really happy that you liked the video. This is one kind of Peperomia plant(peperomia obtusifolia). It is also known as baby rubber plant. I have also shared a video on how to propagate rubber plant ( Ficus elastica). You Can check it out. Video link: ruclips.net/video/spAle8cSDO8/видео.html
Thank you! This is exactly what I wanted.
I've recently got a baby rubber plant and I found one of the leaves with roots already next to mama plant and was confused for a hot minute.
Time to plant that baby leaf and grow a new baby. 😍

Nice presentation, thanks for sharing! 🌿😻
So glad that you liked it 😊
You're the only person who attempted (and was successful) with propagating with leaves! Thanks :). How long until the cuttings start to form their own plant/ stem?
Hi Carrrie...thank you for the words of encouragement! 😊I
In my case leaf cuttings took 6 weeks to develop roots and after planting the rooted cuttings, some of them grew new shoots after 2 months while others took longer time. I have also shared the update video in my channel.

Succint and straight to the point with multiplw methods. Bravo! Have a subscribe, like, and comment ❤
Thank you. I will have more patience with my stem.
So relaxing and clever 😃💚! I hope you get to the million followers and start a nursery or whatever, but your implements and vessels are what I think makes sense (at least when I'm tending my plants). I think cuttings, etc would rather prefer being propagated with what's on hand. ....that said, I have an overgrown rhaphidophora to cut apart. I look forward to watching all your videos later on tonight!
Amazing! Thank you very much ! 😍🪴
You are so welcome!😊
Thank you for sharing this video ..i try today with the zz plant 😃🙏
Wts the result ?
wooww so fast. I think the reason why im not successful at propagating leaves in the water is I didn't dried it out first. After I snip it from the stem, I just put it automatically to the water. will try this one
I'm so glad that you liked it. Good luck.
Hi there, i just bought my first plant. I'm glad to watch your video first. Very optimistic and easy to understand. Can I use just organic potting soil instead? That's all I have for now if i decide to propagate? For now my plant in its original soil looks ok. How long should i keep it there?
Thank you
Hi... I prefer to let my new plants settle down in my home environment for 2- 3 weeks and then I repot them using fresh soil.
Yes, you can use organic potting soil for propagation. Make sure cuttings are taken from a mature plant ( as you mentioned you just bought it). Good luck.
yeah your right super easy, i love plants . thanks for giving ideas. pls keep sharing. God bless!
Thanks Inday Elena
Halamanista is in the house....amazing..

Baby rubber plant so beautiful
My question is: do the leaf propagations (only leaves, no stems) become actual plants?
Damn one of the best on how to clone the pepperomia..thanks

I just came across your video. Very well done, excellent job on showing the process. I do wonder though, which way to propagate. Which way is faster to having a full plant? I'd assume with the node..
I'm so glad that you liked it. Yes, stem cuttings and leaf cuttings with a node give faster result.

Thanks Vinay.
Do you have any idea why mine keep turning brown every time I try to propagate from stem? I’m trying to rescue one of mine and I don’t know what to do.
Will one leaf make a full plant or do u have to put a lot of leaves. Thanks.
Wow beautiful plant
Thanks
Lovely baby rubber plant, and good knowledge for its progation

It's this the same as rubber elastica? If not, do methods remain same as this?

Dear I followed all ur steps one by one. Leaf I kept in water changed water every weak but after some time rotten. In soil I tried twice but not successful. Ur method may be successful to others.
Hi Rajbala...Have you kept your cuttings aside for couple of hours to dry out? This step helps to heal the cut ends and prevents rotting (for few types of plants).
Very nice!! 💗
I have leaf with roots since 7~8 months but its not growing ie no another leaf or stem grown.... Only that single leaf with roots is there.... N pls let me know what soil mix u have taken🙏
Thanks for the great video! Very clear and informative.
Glad it was helpful!
Very good 👍.
Thank you very much
This is great! Do you have an update on how the leaf propogations are looking now? I have had a couple of leaves in water for a few weeks now and they’re starting to grow roots, I’d love to see what they end up looking like a few months after potting!?
Hi Georgie...I have shared the update video in my channel. You can check it out.

thank you so much i got a variegated version of it . : )
Yeah, the variegated version looks great.
My leaf rotten after 1 week keeping in after and roots are also not coming fast .
Even I also tried five leaf cuttings in soil 2 of them rotted and 3 leafs got roots after 23 days
My question is because the leaves have not a node did they grow even after roots formed. I’m taught plants needs a node even with roots to grow 🤔
@@ritalewis5231Not all plants need a node in order to grow roots. Usually you can take literally a leaf from a succulent, without a node, and root it. I took a leaf from a snake plant (sansevieria), without a node, stuck it in water, and left it for a few months. The end of the leaf rotted so I cut that off and stuck it back in water (because you're supposed to be able to root just the leaf on snake plants, too, and this time it grew roots and then a whole new plant which, after almost a year from the original cut, is putting out its 3rd leaf. There's literally a while new plant off the side of the original leaf. I could probably cut them apart and do it all over again with the same original leaf cutting. Most succulents are supposed to do that same thing.
Very helpful video! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
This plant is so beautiful
