    Hi Patrick😁🙌💞Yeah, it' hard to describe bright indirect sunlight, but you explained it perfect🥰Those plants at Armstrong just make me want to go planty shopping😱💖I enjoyed watching! Planting milkweeds is a great idea because they attract butterflies as you say.

    I passed this Armstrong center a gazillion times when I lived in the area. Usually filled up my gas tank at the station at the end of the block. lolol But now I'm inspired to actually stop here when I'm in OC in a few more weeks. THIS Armstrong is on MY list! 😆

    Yes, the Narrowleaf will die back, and will grow back later!!! Self seeds itself too... You can order a Palo Verde tree at H&H, and cheaper than Armstrong. Every October the Eldorado Nature Center in Long Beach has Native plant sell.

    That is a good point about letting water sit out before watering. I did read that chlorine doesn’t evaporate, but if anything, the minerals & solids will settle at the bottom of the container. So if I do that, I usually don’t give my plants the bottom bit of the water 😊
    Actually that’s good to do before watering anything. Of course the only plants that MUST have distilled or reverse osmosis water are carnivorous plants… but that’s a natural adaptation they have, growing in bogs.

    Great video! I LOVE my plumeria - I live where I have to bring it indoors for the Winter. Mine blooms pink when outdoors, but the flowers are yellow if it blooms indoors with less light. I've only been able to keep my 'Rabbit Tracks' & 'Lime' marantas healthy - I can't keep other types healthy for very long.

    • @RandomRob3000
      @RandomRob3000 Год назад

      @@Patadendron They are! I usually get a flush of blooms late in Summer, and then again indoors in early Winter. Then it drops a lot of leaves indoors, but snaps right back when it goes back outdoors when the low temps are reliably above 50F.

    Those milkweed are huge. Milkweed are so expensive if you’re feeding the caterpillars. My grandkids got some from a friend and I had to hunt for milkweeds. One small plant get eaten away pretty quick. Too late I got some tropical ones also,but the leaves goes a long way since they are bigger. Heard you need to cut it way down in Nov. & June? I’m into monarch butterfly now also, expensive hobby also. I must have spent close to $100 in milkweed. Start looking for eggs under your leaves. If you have eggs and you will have caterpillars. Pretty soon you will have no leaves left. 😂 .right now I have 7 monarch chrysalis in 1 habitat. It’s fun watching them from eggs, caterpillars , chrysalis to butterflies. Even send for painted lady caterpillars they come in a cup that look like miso paste. It’s a little gross watching them grow and they look so different from monarch chrysalis. Watch for those eggs underneath the leaves.

    rv hose filters (i got mine from the hydrostore. hydrologic brand "grogreen") but any home store usually sells them. they take out all the bad stuff from tap.from the cloraine/cloaramine the ph buffer too. next step up would be reverse osmosis
