If you want to know what Iceland's like without going there (although you should DEFINITELY go there), just listen to Sigur Ros or Jonsi. The mystic, magic, and bit of kookiness in their music perfectly captures Iceland. Every time I want to go back (all of the time) I just listen to either. I'm immediately transported back. (ill admit this makes my life a little more emotional than it needs to be and i tear up often, but i love it).
IT IS Not jonsi as an individual that Changes, IT IS THE reality behind IT wich Shines through when you stay true to yourself. the Inspiration at its best inspires an individual to do the Same.
i hope the list is correct: 0:00 preview / intro 2:01 animal arithmetic 6:17 go do 11:31 grow till tall 15:51 tornado 20:07 hengilás 27:05 kolniður 30:46 sinking friendship 35:03 boy lilikoi 39:25 outro / intermission 40:12 around us (not complete in this video)
OMG, why this guy is not famous... we should listen more to this kind of music to make us love and appreciate our life... thanks for uploading this :" it made my day...!
This is so beautiful...when you listen to all jonsi music and the you hear all of them "go quiet" just makes my heart feel beyond words that can't describe..
Jonsi! First time I have ever heard you sing in English. I have all your c.d.'s. I watch your vegan recipes in English. Continue to be a strength to us!!!
Jonsi makes the music human. He can sway his timing in such small ways as if it were the same as the heart beat.. reminding us that perfection is not really perfection.. Imperfection is Perfection! Thank You Jonsi for being so honest as an artist and a human.
Muito foda Fábio, valeu por upar!!!!! Jónsi é muito foda, não existe nenhuma descrição plausível para falar de sua música e de seus espetáculos. Abraço cara!!!
Whatever the phrase is and what his voice does at about 18:24. I am so happy right now listening to this for the first time. Perfect timing. I should start each day with him. Go Do would make a wonderful alarm to wake to.
If your looking for what an angel could or should sound like?!?!?!? 14:19 He has loop of himself singing a single not but after the loop stops he sings....... And I burst into tears every time. Thank you for this.
that antique shop he recorded in was just around the corner of the hostel i stayed at when i was in Iceland and we tried going to that shop a number of times but it was always closed when we were free and open when we were busy. It is rather interesting that he chose to record there.
WHAT IS THIS HE SINGING AT 25:00? What is it? Would y’all kindly suggest more for me? I’m an old lady (well, nearly 60) and am away from NY where I had people who showed me him. I’ve just stumbled back upon him because someone thanked me for introducing him years ago. I’d be grateful for suggestions… Go Do is where I left off. Thank you, people of taste😉!
The sad thing is that Jon, like many other artists of his caliber, would probably not even pass the auditions of something like American Idol or Britain's Got Talent. No, that is not a critique of his skill and talent, nor any other artist's; it is a critique of people. I do realise that everyone has different tastes, and some won't enjoy listening to this music, but there is an objective factor that doesn't rely on the viewer that people fail to recognise on many occasions: Talent Jon has that

This kind of music is for people that would not even consider watching American Idol or Britain's Got Talent...they are too intelligent and free thinking !

Thought I was the only one in tears ....literally every single.one of his songs makes me feel so deeply
If the entire world experienced Jonsi, there would be world peace
So true!!!

Ones of the best thinks in humans
This makes sense. I’ve read that because of geography, they were free from musical influence from other places for the longest time. Imagine that.
The version of " tornado " is amazing, I can't describe how much I love the music of Jonsi and Sigur Ros.
i listen to this 4 times everyday at work to ensure i have a good day.
it's really uplifting to think that someone like him is walking around their house singing for themselves
If Jonsi made a keyboard with his vocals for each note I would so buy that!! His voice sings to and through my soul!
You could easily do this with a Midi keyboard & just sample his oooooh's & aaaaaaah's. 😂
Listening to this on election night in the US.....
helping a lot.
Good call that. Only Jonsi can save us now.
Oh. My. God. This… is beyond beautiful ❤ Jonsi, you continue to save my life and bring me back to life and give me reasons to keep living.
Love him so much. For his fans, I think his music is our home.
I feel like I'm spying on something secret and intimate, and want to share it with the world because it is so fabulous,. Thank you jonsi
I need this in my life over and over again.
i could listen and watch this over and over

Thanks for how to train dragon, or I would never have herd of him. This is wonderful, just wonderful :) ;)
I know him since Vanilla Sky. The last scene when Tom jumps :)
The Mozart/Bach of our generation. And he was so gracious to us to present a pop album, one of the greatest at that.
OMG, why this guy is not famous... we should listen more to this kind of music to make us love and appreciate our life...
thanks for uploading this :" it made my day...!

Sigur Roś & Jonsi‘s music is anywhere out of the world & and in front of the inner eye it’s like within the realm of a dying sun. ☄️💥💊
This is superb. His voice brings tears to my eyes, good tears of hope and love.

Is here anyone capable of explaining what it feels like to listen to this piece of art?
I had no idea this existed and now it's my favorite. That album meant so much to me and my recovery.
22:23 is still my favorite song he's ever written. One of my favorite songs ever.
Jonsi makes the music human. He can sway his timing in such small ways as if it were the same as the heart beat.. reminding us that perfection is not really perfection.. Imperfection is Perfection! Thank You Jonsi for being so honest as an artist and a human.
I love your story! I'd love to go to Iceland,if I could see Sigur Ros or Jonsi & Alex play there..stay at their house, have them cook me dinner...lol

Dylan Thomas, 1914 - 1953
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
I love Dylan Thomas
