I met Wendy when I was a skinny 16 year old working in a record store in the UK (Derby) . TVV when doing a promo visit for their first ever single , she was so lovely and humble . Xxx love our Wendy xxxx
Great interview! Pioneers in that great age... no internet, just guts and adrenaline riding the waves of music and image, before internet, TV channels, etc. Very cool band. Always been in love with her.
@@VintageAlternative Hi. I’m English. Given her singing voice and the punky attitude I wasn’t expecting her to have RP (Received Pronunciation). She speaks “the Queen’s English.” I was expecting an East London accent. And she is wonderful! Thanks for the great interview.🙏🏻
@@damianrf6309Even though Wendy grew up in London, both Wendy's parents who adopted her from birth were Norwegian so that probably explains why she speaks nice. She sounds like Joan Collins. An attractive accent to be proud of.
@@rachelbailey-no2pp Very much like my own, what, what! 😂 Actually, I’m from Bournemouth, so I don’t really have a distinctive accent. Thanks for the info. You should never judge a book by its cover. I had a teenage crush on Wendy and liked their singles, but I never did a deep dive into Transvision Vamp.
@@damianrf6309 We are all judged, it's natural. You said earlier in your comment that you was expecting Wendy to have an East London accent. See we are all judged, it's not a negative thing to judge. A lot of people though the same. Even I thought she was broad cockney until I heard her speak. She's a very intelligent lady.

Glad you talked about the Velveteen cover too. The copy of Mudhoney’s Superfuzz Bigmuff in the shot was cool AF.
@@OrangeSunshine1969 Right?? Couldn't wait to ask her about it. Thanks for watching!
Damien used the preset for Clint Eastwood
Ryan Hamilton looks like the comedian Ryan Hamilton.
Who knew she was so posh?
Is she?? I'm American, so she just seems foreign and wonderful to me ;-)
