    Hey Binh - great video, I really enjoy how in-depth you get. I’m wanting to upgrade my yellowed HID headlights but having some trouble deciding.
    The V-Lands look great aesthetically, but their output isn’t as great as the DEPO’s with the projector retrofit, based on your video.
    If you had one shot to do it over again; would you do the VLANDS or DEPO with or without retrofit?
    Thanks man!

    • @TunerwithKids
      @TunerwithKids  4 года назад +2

      I like the DEPO with my Retrofit of the iLens (Profile BiLED 1.0) I have.
      If I redid it, I would go with the newer Profile 2.0 or better yet, the Morimoto MLED 2.0. I would also do switchback LED DRL and turn signals.

For looks they are great but if you live in dark areas the high beams won't be helping you very much.

    I like how the outcome came out with the way you outlined the LED demon light frame. Was going to ask how come you didn't mod the 3rd led High Beam to function with the 2 Led low beam giving the setup a triple LED oem look. I've emailed VLand and asked on the specific mod you did and on having the high beam to function with the low beam. The rep responded and told me their LED headlights are as is, their company will not modify or add anything. I guess DIY would be the only way to modify it.

    Hey Tuner, my mechanic installed my headlights for me and when I looked at my old lights I saw that the brackets were still there. Is it supposed to be possible to mount these headlights on without the bracket and if you do so, what are the potential issues?

    Hey man. Nice vid. Got a question for you tho.
    Does the auto-leveling work on these Vlands? For Up and Down motion?
    I know the AFS or corner-lights or whatever it's called won't work. I'm interested in up and down adjustments. Like if I put 500lb of cargo in the trunk or go over a bump, will the headlights lower down automatically like OEM? At 22:20 you can see what I mean, OEM and yours retrofitted headlight did like a start-up sequence but VLANDS didn't. Does it mean they don't have it?

    • @TunerwithKids
      @TunerwithKids  3 года назад

      The VLAND don’t have the slot to do autolevel up and down.

    • @TunerwithKids
      @TunerwithKids  3 года назад

      What they do have is the newer Toyota manual level motor. These are found in the Sienna, Tundra, and BRZ/FRS. You may be able to retrofit the dial switch from those cars and manually adjust the level a few degrees.

    • @Mrbasspro95
      @Mrbasspro95 3 года назад

      @@TunerwithKids Thanks for a fast reply. Unfortunately in Sweden, any car that has auto-leveling from the factory must have it working in order to pass through the yearly road-safety inspection. As I understand even if I retrofit the switch from another Toyota, it still won't be fully automatic, correct?
      and if it's not fully automatic then I either have to change headlights back and forth once a year or don't bother at all.
      Anyway, thanks again for a fast reply, and keep it up!

      I only tested one side, if you have both headlights on, it will be different. Again, my results will NOT be same as yours no matter what unless we are in the same location and same conditions.
