The whole body tilts up on hydraulics completely exposing the motor and chrome tube chassis. It also has hydraulics in the suspension to raise and lower the truck. The nose of it is airbrushed like flames and an eagle that has a Cadillac Escalade front end on it. I seen it at one of the last autoramas in Grand rapids, Michigan
The guy who I met that owned it said that there was roughly 600,000 into the puckup truck with his own money and donations. It was also at the Smithsonian institute for quite a while. I seen it around 2008
I can’t wait to see you put the motor in that van tank
My Moruzzi was much more than 15K about 2X however we’ve been Thrashin on it in the desert for 4 seasons now. Well worth the money for a good build!
Seems like alot of negative comments about the tank. Personally i friggin love that thing. Definitely needs a blown big block but you should also get a extremely low range transfer case. Make that thing crawl on idle
I'm glad the custom painted semi and the custom pick-up in the back are still together after the years.
After watching Vise Grip Garage for a few hours I feel like everyone else has a thing or two to learn trying to revive an older V8
Painful to watch tbh
@@Crob56no idea about old gassers they could’ve probably just thrown a new carb and a clack clack pump on it and done the plugs ( and let it warm up properly) it would’ve more than likely run like a top
Love that guy !!
@@MrKelly-oc5kq nah let’s just keep mashing the throttle hoping the Accelerator pumps make it run
That’s one heck of a tele-handler. I’d want a stabilizer though. They come in handy especially for recoveries.
So much fun watching you all doing ish!
I had no idea that that crazy painted semi truck was in in the city I live in… awesome to see y’all up here.
Yeah it was flooded cause sparks kept stomping the throttle pedal causing the accelerator pump to keep squirting more and more fuel into the engine 😂
You mean the hard piece of rubber where the accelerator pump is supposed to be. That thing ain't pumping anything.
The accelerator pump was probably toast.
Berm-blaster your comment couldn’t be further from correct 🤦♂️
Lol
Check your footage this isn't part 7 it is the same video you have already posted and keep posting thanks
Casper is home!!! That's amazing. I miss it so much and happy to see a video filmed there
Dave- You should use the Powerstroke out of the 2017 that you got with the van tank. Transmission is messed up anyway and all that torque could come in handy.
The Van is the best thing you got on that trip for sure. can't wait to see what you do with it Heavy... I would have to guess the cost of the murals on the truck and trailer at 250k to 300k...
Yall sure ain't gasoline mechanics. 😂

This could be Cleet’s entrance into Monster Trucks
Great acquisition Dave. The Ford van Tank is kool. Can’t wait to see it start, R&R motor etc. 🤙😎
why is sparks playing the throttle like a bass drum? no wonder it was flooded and wouldnt stay running!
Just a good bunch of roughnecks having some fun and making some of the baddest vehicles in this country! Keep on Truckin! America's coolest duo! Just goes to show you that you can be a total bad a$$ and a good dude at the same time!
Love that Jumbo Van. Had the same, I'll look in my parents basement this weekend to find it! I know it is there and was working when we stored it. 😁
They have Battle Bots between W/D & Heavy D they can have Battle Tanks. In real life.🤣
Just yelling at the video stop pushing the gas pedal like it’s a damn drum set. Holy moly. 😂
Did you get a response?
Looks like one of the track united used to move drilling rigs. It has the colors for Nabors Drilling. They have work on the north slope, Alaska. But we’re based out of Bakersfield, CA. Look up Nabors 245 Rig Move. It takes 4 of these to move a rig.
Okay, okay. So it's not the same one.
No kidding
It's just a pile of junk
Just like a bad X-girl friend. nobody likes her, yet she just keeps showing up!
I take it you didn’t know that the Germans used these Ford tanks in the Korean War.
The man said he's had it for 15, 20 years. There's many of these that were made, didn't you listen to Dave give the history?
When I was being taught to drive, back in 1965, my dad, (who was a machinist by both vocation and avocation, and worked on his own car(s)), advised against pumping the accelerator repeatedly as it was likely to flood the carburetor....
Can’t wait to see what you do with the 379 pete ..
I’ve always had a soft spot for the 379 Pete in my heart. When I was an OTR driver that’s the only thing I drive, other than a W9.
Good luck and God bless
I saw the airbrushed semi in Chillicothe Ohio 2003. At a real trashy car show called cruise fest lol. Still have pictures of it.
Cruise fest still gives the little old church ladies nightmares around here (mainly because most of there husbands were there but that’s besides the point) from the year they had it here (can’t remember it it was before or after you guys had it but it got way wilder here than chilli)
The look on your face trying to get that tank running is priceless, it's like Please pritty please with suger on top, start !
Because i got to get to my job in it kind of thing 😂
Awesome paint job on that rig. Would be cool to see it out of that shop and also the truck inside. Just for kicks. As far as that F-ank as was really hoping it would cough and then rev up and run.
The guy that originally owned it used to setup in parking lots all the time so people could see the heroes truck(the truck inside)
Dude,so many awesome builds, can’t get enough right now. Bring it on
Heck yeah that Ford monster truck tank super cool, Yep I’m here watching 6:25 PM Saturday
What an amazing paint job with a complete theme all the way around 😮
8:15 damn I ain’t seen that thing in person In probably 15yrs and to say pictures and videos don’t do it justice is a understatement mickey harris is a bad man with paint(guy that did the airbrush work on it and the heroes truck it hauled around)
Oh no way I saw that dragon truck in reno Nevada at a truck show when I was a little kid. I'm glad to see that it is still around.
Can't wait to see the jumbo van finished! The Virginia Beach Beast was one of my favorite car crushers as a kid!
This beautiful art semi is mouth dropping this has to be my all time favorite semi just the art work alone took so many hours and probably weeks and months it’s way to beautiful to drive all that time but damn you would look good doing it it’s so unique and different the man who did this is a true artist wow Dave and the crew love what you guys do I love it all from the rescues to you buying more heavy machinery it’s great entertainment keep up the awesome work much love from Connecticut
Mickey harris did all the art work. The truck and trailers only purpose was to pull the military/911 tribute truck in the back around the country to show it off and grab attention so more people got to see the tribute truck. The couple that originally owned them was relatively local to me (they are from hillsboro, ohio not where he said) and would often setup in parking lots when they had free time or on the way back from shows so more people got to see the truck
I saw that painted truck a few times over the years When I was running over the road
Thanks for the adventure, that many of us don't have the wherewithal to do. I'm just playing catchup on your videos.
I know the guy that airbrushed the tractor trailer. He is an amazing airbrush artist!!
I think that show semi was in world of wheels in Milwaukee a few years back, it is indescribable.
Yep and crazy part is it was done to get peoples attention for the truck in the back when setup at shows and in parking lots. They literally spent 130k on the paint job of a transport truck
I just had the honor of meeting the guy who built the first tank monster.. Willie Townes... He had the Virginia Beach Beast. Saw him down at the International Monster truck Museum in Indiana..
Holy shit that’s the hero truck in there! Had so many pic on my computer of it like fifteen years ago the whole body lifts up like a funny car that truck is insane!
The poster of the truck that my grandpa bought off him when we seen it is still hanging on the wall in my bedroom at our old house (we use the old house for storage now)
Hey Guys. I know I'm late to the commenting. It's been great fun watching and miss your tv show. Seeing what you bought, that is not a tank bud. I can say this with ALL certainty. I served over 20 years active Army as an M1 to M1A2SEP Abrams tank. Have fun.
