Most underrated and over looked piece of equipment is the telehandler. Absolute beast of a machine
I was just thinking that too. Im honestly impressed with how versatile and stout that thing is.
I was honestly surprised at the work it did in this one!! Total beast!
Love it when you stood on that caboose to keep it upright, kind of like sticking two ticks on a dog's tail to keep it from wagging :)
You guys are awesome!
Sticking two ticks on a dog’s tail to keep it from wagging? Wtf, I’ve never heard that before haha.
Some viewers were laughing at that but the same concept applies to John Deere tractor plates on a bumper for counterweight.
Just A few hundred pounds on one end can keep it from heaving.
You have to explain that saying and where it's from. Never heard that. It's a good one.
@@Brojack69 I'm sure I heard it somewhere, I would never take credit, not that smart :)
Hahaha🤣🤣
I admire the way you never pretend everything goes absolutely smoothly but show the mishaps that do occur. This one had me gasp a couple of times. However, you, Dave, and all of your crew keep level heads, and things seem to work out to the good. Dave, you are a master of all the machines! Stay safe, and God's blessing to you all from Proctor Minnesota!
Yeah I thought that carriage was going over several times, but somehow they solved the problems every time!
Allen is honestly the hardest working guy I’ve ever seen
Bro you are so right.
Allen is the guy with 20 lifetimes of experience. He is what is known as an old soul. Born with knowledge that is almost directly written to his DNA.
You not been on a heavy industrial construction site have you 😂
@@jsh6952didn’t you know he’s a time traveller? That’s why he has so many lifetimes of experience. Dudes been hoarding knowledge of a thousand years and playing everyone😂
Wow this is as sketchy as it gets, Allan is a man who knows no limits. His work ethic is like no other. He's now my favourite lol.
Yeah those wizard powers really help the rest of the team!
Dystopic
Allen has a genuinely good attitude, and on difficult, dangerous jobs he's a thinker and a go-getter. Is Allen perfect?
Nah, but he's capable and willing and is not afraid of hard work.
Not bad qualities when your doing this kind of job.
Thank you for employing so many people. I think many youtubers forget that it is the responsibility of every rich person to employ as many people as possible. This is our US economic system. It is called trickle-down economics. Even though some of the people in heavy d's organization seem to have forgotten this , " mussle", i think over all the sparks motors group does their part and employs dozens of people. Thank you Sparks Motor Company, you are real Americans!!!!
I like how Allen lets Dave think he's running the show but really its him 😂
The wizard always runs the show from the background
you are spot on
I agree with how Alan seems to be brains behind leadership.
If they were easier to move, id say maybe take them to cabin in the hills!! The one buried in snow!
Do they save the rail sections? They are good structural support and add to look of parked caboose.
You guys have so much of the right equipment that I believe you can recover or move anything that's on this earth.
They could probs recover the moon if someone was paying them to!
Allen works harder than anyone and his knowledge about everything is invaluable
Allen the Wizard for president 2024
Allen is annoying ,was hoping to see the caboose fall on him
@@Workin_roadtriplol Allen loves to live rent free in your head tho
@@Workin_roadtripya he’s favorite vacation home is you’re head for sure! Lol love how petty you are
He is smart but annoying i cant stand him and wat about bud he looks like a smoking meth head u never see him do anything worthwhile is he the stray dog.
“Nothing seems sketchy any more “ Absolutely the BEST line of the whole show! You all just ROCKED it.
I really respect that all these guys keep such composure and level heads, even when it comes to the mishaps and set backs. You can tell they get frustrated but instead of taking anger out on one another, they keep their heads up and keep moving forward. Mad respect these guys. Lastly the Airbnb idea for one of the cabooses is a rad idea! Be safe y’all 🤙🏽
I worked around/with giant cranes lifting heavy units many times. This was like watching a coyote eating a jack rabbit. Wasn't pretty or OSHA but they got'er done! Thanks for posting.
Never a disappointment with a new recovery! Love this team!!!
Forget Surfshark that was the best ad for Sany, so many jobs that I could have used that telehandler for, and it would have made my life so much easier! Absolutely brilliant!
That was quite the recovery Dave! Shout out to the team!. Never a disappointment with a new recovery! Love this team!!!.
Allen is honestly a national treasure
Sparks- here in Pennsylvania specifically Lancaster area, is a caboose b&b. They are always rented and in advance, people always have something to say about how unique of a stay inside a caboose was and recommend it.
Beautiful preserved log cabin. I hope it finds a good home.
I love how Heavy D says try to avoid previous mistakes and proceeds to show multiple clips of almost worse fails 😂
A worse fail isn’t repeating previous mistakes, technically
Just part of it
Keyword is "almost"
Cabeese!
Camera guys didn't even warn him.
A great quality that Dave & Dave possess, even after their years in business, TV career and RUclips, neither of them have issue taking advise from someone like Allan or anyone else from their crew. They listen and consider what the best choice is. True professionals!
That was quite the recovery Dave! Shout out to the team!
Nicely done. I say you keep them both and make them into cabins so your children can build their memories as well. You saved two remarkable ready-built year-round all-weather cabins that have great childhood memories.
As an old boyscout, it saddens me to see this campsite being abandoned, the boyscouts' time was so worthwhile, sorry to see that all ended. Still good of you guys cleaning the stuff out
Was being a Boy Scout fun? Did it teach you any valuable life skills?
I agree as a former scout aswell my camp wasn’t cool enough to have train cars but atleast they’ll get something out of them instead of letting them rot away hope they use the money for something useful.
@@-dystopic- if it's fun is up to the individual, but you certainly learn a lot of valuable things, no doubt.
Are the Boyscouts dead?
@@augustusguap228 yeah okay. We have scouts in Australia, but it wasn’t as useful as the US version from what I’ve seen online. They just taught us how to set up a tent & tie some basic knots lol. & it wasn’t much fun at all.
I agree with Alan @32:07. The Telehandler is incredibly impressive what it can do. Never thought it would handle the cabooses or outright lift one of the cabins. That thing does some serious work.
Got to say very great traffic control, its a tough location for the job and theres alot of moving parts. Its great to see such professionalism.
Dave! You and the team pull off endless feats. It's a pleasure to watch.
That has to be the coolest recovery I've seen in a long time, well done guys.
I've personally really enjoyed these videos of this recovery/rescue! I think an Airbnb on a nice piece of property with them both together as 2 train cars would be cool and the cabins could be used for storage for anything needed to maintain the main units and property for whoever ends up with them. I've got wonderful ideas for what they could be..... just not the fundage!
These are some of the craziest recoveries yet! Thanks for bringing us awesome content Heavy D! The AirBB idea is awesome, you should definitely do that!
Yeah the Air BnB idea is great! I’d love to stay in that!
As soon as I saw the caboose I thought OMG! Those would make the coolest AirBnb’s up at Cerro Gordo! Wherever you choose to use them, I’m sure they will be beautiful & innovative.
Everyone points out the skill you guys have at figuring out just about anything your faced with. But I also really really appreciate the way these videos model how to work collaboratively as a group, treating eachother with respect & kindness even during scary, frustrating & dangerous times. It is extremely rare to find a group of ppl who are skilled in this kind of way, but it’s sadly almost just as rare to find adults who are able to work as a team, without name calling, talking down to each other, or arguing & blaming eachother when things get tough.
Heavy D needs to create a masterclass in how to be a
Good human & lead like a badass? Lol
What a good idea BUT would they really fit in with the surrounding buildings???
Great teamwork guys!! Love hard work can watch it all day long haha
I would love to live in a caboose like that. I love Union Pacific, and a UP Caboose like these would be my first choice. I would buy one off y’all if I had the money and a place to put it. Really are a spectacular piece of railroad history. I’m very happy you guys saved these beautiful pieces of rolling stock and are preserving them. I would buy one off you guys 100% if I could. Keep up the good work guys, and I hope y’all can do this more in the future. Railroad history must be preserved. It’s a part of how America grew and came to be.
Really like watching you guys do what you do. I wish I could still do half of the stuff I used to do, instead of now just being an armchair quarterback. Keep up the good work guys.
Dave's Caboose AirBnb Needed a Lift and he did it like the Carneval was Packing up for next Show! Good Job!!!; )
Is there one thing you can’t recover?
Greatest recovery team there is!🤘🏻
Pretty sure they could recover the moon if someone asked them to!
@@-dystopic- nope, it's thousands of miles away, beyond the outer limits of our biome, and US lied about touching the moon to boost morale and keep the free taxdollars rolling in, the furthest humanity has ever been is less than 300 miles out aka low orbit, rockets are real, all the low orbit stuff is real, but US never left the biome, leaving our biome is like leaving our safe bubble, it means instant death, you'd cease to exist and be left behind as earth flies thru the aether at 70,000kph chasing the sun which protects us, like a massive radiation shield, it's okay that we all live and die right here, this also means there's no chance of any aliens being anywhere near us if life exists elsewhere, they r as trapped inside their bubble/biome as we are

My country is known for prolific record keeping, i was taught [by my gov] to believe my country was built by italians even tho we all speak english! utter bs, every single thing on my lands was built by us, the italian thing is landgrab by stealth, it gives my lands to billionaire popes in a tiny tax haven stuck in the dark ages.]
Mars team 6
@@MaverickMcGreasy what is that supposed to mean? Haha.
His revenue for the video with Jake Paul probably
I'm really impressed by how little these guys argue, especially when something goes wrong. I know it's possible that's just edited out, but in that case they're still good at swallowing their pride and getting the job done.
Good job guys, although a spreader bar would be a wise choice for picking up those cabins, hopefully the roof damage is minimal.
It would be a great addition to the safety aspect for key people involved to have radios to communicate and/or listen in with. Saves the shouting and arm waving and makes critical communication more positive. Everybody hears where everyone's at and what the main plan is.
Someone's been watching tators with ron pratt
Definitely make one caboose into an AirBnb. That would make for a completely awesome experience!
That would be super cool!
Caboose use both as air b&b
He'll make a killing on the 5000 cleaning fee
Dave and friends, You guys are good at the "sketchy stuff". You just make things happen and by some miracle and a lot of experience it works. That telehandler is a beast and manoeuvrable. Dave You don't need to tell us how much you paid. That's your business. Awesome vid
Impressive work. Who knew that removing 2 cabooses and wood cabins from woodland would be so entertaining.
Yes, cabins! Thank you very much for saving these! My dad worked for Union Pacific and he loved this stuff…
Never a disappointment with a new recovery! Love this team!!!. Is there one thing you can’t recover?Greatest recovery team there is!.
They could probably recover the fucking moon if someone asked them to!
Totally Agree. But some viewers won't be satisfied until NASA calls Dave to help them recover the Mars Rover.
Happy birth day me, after helping a another veteran do eleven hours of hay today in the heat where i almost blacked out. I am happy to sit here and watch you. I don't need no cake. I don't need party. I just want to sit watch yall and smoke a fatty. Hope yall had a good day stay safe.
These guys are great, there is nothing better than a good day of sketchy rigging!
I hear you but even if you had a professional moving team from Union Pacific itself..there would have been sketchy moments.
It comes with the territory on a gig like this.
The Key to all of these Moves, Salvage, And Recovery is the support equipment. Big, Expensive, Shinny, Toys. But equipment makes you $$$. Just as having the right guys in your team. And HD Sparks has done just that. Bravo HD.
i would have bolted tracks to swamp matts and just hopscotched the matts from behind to in front as you moved the cabooses through the forest than staged them for a lift beside highway.. i'd love to work for dave sparks these are my style of problems
I did that catching crawfish with milk crates in a creek haha
I know there's editing involved, but I love how you never see any of the guys lose their shit when you everything goes sideways...
I really enjoy their content. They remind me of my 3 younger brothers. They do the same things- just not done on video for RUclips
Allen giving me anxiety standing so close to the train while its tilted 😅
Same, I was just waiting for Allan to get squished! But his wizard powers protected him as always!
He knows how good the rigging is he probably inspects it regularly.
Walking on the lower side of the caboose when it was tilted like that was just plain stupid. We fire guys like that regularly on my jobsites because they are a danger to themselves and everybody around them.
He can be absolutely brilliant at times and other times it questionable if it’s the same person.
NERVES OF STEEL HAS ALLEN!
Outstanding job heavy D and company. There was never any doubt.
Never disappoints, always entertaining! Man you sure pull off some amazing feats! Great job!
This reminds me of my father. He never moved anything as big as a caboose but we moved a few things in a similar manner. My dad grew up on a farm. He was a jack of all trades the master of none. Good video.
I love how Dave has to run every piece of equipment! Running back-and-forth through every piece of equipment instead of just letting somebody else run one
Was honestly thinking the same thing
Are you new here?
@@TheC.I.ACanSeeYoui am new
Dave doesn't do grunt work
HEAVY D I just would like to give you so much respect for all the wonderful work with MOST & other agencies sense I'm a DV/DA survivor i want to give you & team a HUGE THANKS!!!
Absolutely the most insane recovery ever.
It's beyond insane what they accomplished...
Anyone moving ridiculously heavy and over-sized Iron rail cars is a once in a lifetime experience and they did it effing FLAWLESSLY...
*ALL THINGS CONSIDERED*
Alan: 🎶 working on the railroad just to pass the time away”. Classic!!! I would vote for restored stock on the outside and high end air B&B on the inside IF you can find a good location. Either great views etc or railroad related location
If you have more than one caboose, are they 'cabeese', 'cabooses', or are they still just 'caboose'? Inquiring minds want to know.
Cabeese
The cabooses are super popular, man the RR community in America is absolutely AMAZINGLY HUGE!! People are enthralled with the history of RR and all, how America was built.. depending on how important these 'booses are, man.. they're valuable for the scrap of junk they are. It's really great to see you guys getting all this stuff out and back into society!
Make them a cool camping site, cabins can be the kitchen etc.
GOOD TIMES! lol I must admit I was clenching a couple times watching from afar, but y'all managed it just fine. Great job everyone!
I would totally dig one as an air b&b. Would look great up on a hillside with a view somewhere. It's gota be on tracks. You could also do a mock Depot next to it to hide a garage and other support stuff not in the caboose. Great job getting them moved guys!
24:30 I would've left that front end down and came back to lift the rear end to move the dolly a little closer to the center. it would've made the backwards climb with the telehandler a good bit smoother with less chance of tipping the telehandler. Like, every inch forward on that dolly in the situation would make a huge difference!
You really know how to make the most difficult things look so easy. Thanks for another great video.
It's amazing what humans can do with the right equipment. Also, I'm glad to see a full-length video. LoL, we can't get enough of you guys!!!
would love to see another video of the rest of the stuff being shifted.....Great work Allen....and problem solver Heavy D.
Heavy D, you are a Wheeler, and Dealer! Very fun to watch!
This is crazy because I did the same thing in the Marine Corps as a heavy equipment operator. I taught my Marines the real Capabilities of HE Gear. I loved moving inoperable vehicles, tanks and other vehicles from training and combat areas and figuring out how to do it. After a while you kinda know what you need and how to approach the situations and it always works out.
Heavy D and The Wizard great use of the Telehandler backing your flatbed through the gate like that! What you can do with a Telehandler, huh? Awesome drone footage Hanz! You can rhyme Diesel Dave! Love the way you guys work together!
Can yuh smelllllll what Heavy D's cookin . I can hear the breakfast bell chimin already at Camp Diesel. Families in need of a bit of time away , time to reconnect with each other and get back in that family unit mode. ❤👍👍👍✌✌✌
MICHAEL Loves all you guys. GOD Bless you and your businesses. Amen.
INTENSE!!! Heart stopping stuff there - Whoah whoah!!! Got to say it guys - If HeavyD can't move it, then no one else can......Well done all of you ❤
At 16:24 seconds when he asks what’s up bro and his answer is so genuine i can’t help but laugh and know that means “fuckkkk this bro”
An Air BnB would be awesome! Not that I could ever afford to stay at one but none the less would love to see it turned into one. You must record the remodel!!
Y'all are awesome and I can't wait to see what you do with that stuff!! If a person had land you could make all that into a retreat/camping area. Who wouldn't love to sleep in a caboose, it could be a good get away and you could make some money on it!!
I don't think there is one job HeavyD and his elite crew can't do and do it well. Wonderful fun watching them conquer.
I would say you guys are definitely getting good at what you guys do. I am impressed with how you always found creative ways to get things done.
Air BnB them Cabooses. Need to put them somewhere scenic. Near a disused historical railway or mine would be mint. In NZ we have a few multi day Mountain bike trails alongside old rail trails. Very popular and people are willing to pay decent money to have a warm, cozy and rustic place to stay at night.
I'm really impressed with the Sanny equipment. Another great video. Please show us the video of you going back. I'm looking forward to you guys doing that video Dave was talking about
i remember as a kid seeing a box car being towed behind a 2500 down the road in my small town. seeing how the trucks are on makes a whole lot more sence now.
You have to take one of those cabins up to your mountain property for your kiddos to play in! Getting it up there would be a challenge for most folks but after seeing what you did with the cabooses and the cabins, I think we all feel pretty safe that you're up for the task!
Heather🇨🇦
Out of all the equipment. That telehandler is the most impressive to me. I've never seen one used before. Didint didint think they could work that hard
I love how the crew and Dave come up with ways to make $ with items!
This is going to have an epic finally.
Y’all’s brains are amazing and I love how y’all help people and each other, when in need. Such a great place to Subscribe.
Love y’all, but I have to LOVE on Allen. He’s something else. In a good way. ❤
I love watching you guys. One of my favorite channels.
Very technical recovery there no problem for this crew yall are beast I salute you gentlemen
Hans wrestling with the slings had me dying of laughter... 😂😂😂😂
I confess when I first saw the 2 train cars......I just couldn't even imagine a way they could make it happen......WOW. Totally surprised / amazed. These guys are totally legit.
This was An Awesome recovery Dave snd Team!! What you do and how you do it is nothing short of Amazing! Tense moments with the Caboose, but u got it out! 🤙😎
Crazy removal project but great video thanks Dave Sparks and company
Spreader bars on the end you wanted to haul out with. I know it is easy to say that from my arm chair. The rails are what was the biggest obstacle. No one was hurt, well done. Sell one car to a dinner or restaurant
I like Allen's suggestions... he is patient and thinks about safety
I would have hooked the dolly with the two flat tires under the front so that you could have sat the front down and even pulled it with the front down when needed. That was a crazy job for sure.
Sketchy is underrated for this video. Your guy is nuts for getting under a suspended load like that. Don’t like to be that guy but man you need a safety check with your team. Might not be today or next week but you continue to do what you’re doing and someone isn’t going home. Play safe boys.
🚂🛻 Great show! I would love 2c that caboose being coverted into an Air B&B. When my son realized I was watching this show in the big screen, he said, 'Oh, I follow his channel. He remembered his near obsessuon with steam train engines n cabooses as a kid❤
You guys forgot the Walkie-talkie to communicate on this kind situation and work…let’s go team🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all
Wow! Wow! I'm pausing before watching the end, but that again was crazy maneuvers, crazy skill , from entire team! So much respect! Wear my HARD WORK hoodies proudly!
Ok I'm back to the end! Commented previously after the last train car, still in awe! Those cabins you could plop anywhere scenic, and you would have an air bnb, any where your heart desires! In fact rent them out with the renters not even knowing where they are going until final destination and make a gig of that!!❤ I would rent one as long as it was dog friendly, can't go anywhere with my dear Prancer!😊!
I love this kind of stuff. I was a rigger in the strip mines of West Virginia several years ago. The company I worked for said they’d move anything anywhere. We moved some crazy stuff, a lot like the kind of stuff you guys move.
A set of tandem Semi Dual converters like they use to pull double 48' Flat Beds from Chicago to Cleveland on the Indina and Ohio Turnpike would be a sweet addition to the fleet of equipment. And with the right tires and if you find a air ride set. They can easily handle 50-K lbs on 8 22.5 tires. And with air ride, you can adjust the ride highly.
Airbnb was my first thought, I've seen before, it's amazing.
YESSSSSS build, totally awesome!!!!! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🇨🇦 the cabins you can use as washrooms for the caboose’s!!
