As a 13 yrs old i still live with my parents but when im an adult i would like live this lifestyle. It's much peaceful to live this way, away from our materialistic world and to learn to appreciate moments in life that bring happiness. I am really inspired by this video... 💕💕
Decorations are a big one for me because, growing up, my mom and grandma loved to decorate so much that they had rooms full of wreaths and knick knacks for each holiday. I used to feel pressure to start collecting these things, but right after college I realized I didn't want to store all that stuff and not all of it even had meaning...it was just STUFF that was clobbering my space. I didn't buy any holiday decoration that didn't have a meaning to me or that I didn't need. For example, if I had a special day shopping with a friend and found a one of a kind handblown glass ornament, I might buy that, but I wasn't going to superstore to load up a cart full of garlands and swags, and fake apples. Even my mom has taken this to heart and has scaled way back.
Great video! I've actually always been a minimalist didn't realize there as a name just didn't like clutter and consuming unnecessarily but I'm thrilled it is a movement that has caught on! Love your videos so grateful I've discovered your channel 😊
Minimalism is definitely not for me, but your videos still inspire me to get rid of things that don't hold any sentimental value. After watching this, I started clearing out my chests of drawers! You have such a calming spirit, and you're such a joy to watch. Thank you for all the inspiration! :)
Today I decluttered my wardrobe :D Im so happy about it and I cant wait to donate and sell the stuff. It feels way better and I almost can smell the freshness of my closet. Much love :D

I own that book you mentioned "the tidying up" one. That book almost takes it to the extreme. it's a good book and I can see how it would definitely work for someone living a lone, even if someone were to take a more lazy approach, BUT if your the only one in a family full of hoarders it doesn't really work too well. Its a constant battle to even get rid of stuff that's your own stuff and has nothing to do with the hoarder in question sadly.

I've apparently been heading in this direction for the last few months (i.e. getting rid of clutter, appreciating clean spaces, etc.) without realizing there was actually a notion out there called minimalism.
