I will never pass up the opportunity to say I was there that night. When the setlist was first posted to the stage, you could hear this murmur go through the crowd as word spread that Apologize was on it! I'm glad there are some really good recordings from that night.
I was lucky to be there, too, about four people from the stage. Yes, the word that "Apologize" was on the set list as the 6th song sent an enthusiastic wave through the crowd and a few of us traded high fives of delight. The extended glance between Ale and Pau was layered with emotion. Dany, while ever the consummate professional, looked ultra focused as the song started. When it was time, she reached for the slide for her guitar mounted on her mic stand, fumbling it slightly but getting it on her finger. She obviously had repeatedly practiced. She doesn't play the slide all the time from then on, so she had to alternate playing chord that didn't require it while it was still on her finger. That's next level skill to ensure the debut succeeded. While the quiet coda at the end is with piano on the album, their choice to use Dany's guitar worked very well. Pau's "Aplogize" singular whisper and multiple shouts had all the passion of her scream of destruction on "Evolve" while Ale's bass gave an interesting but pared down anchor to the fierce emotions in the lyrics. The whole concert was a magnificent gift of their talent, their professionalism on this last day of three years of touring when they were exhausted but still gave their all, their compositional excellence, their consistency, their joy and their authentic, vulnerable souls (evidenced by their getting their whole team - that The Warning extended, chosen family - to receive the deep appreciation of the audience).
If you haven't heard the entire *Keep Me Fed* album straight through from end to end, you are missing one of the best albums of this century. It has to be taken as a body of work. *Apologize* is complex and dark. I love it. I would love to know what inspired it.
I was at this concert. It was the second time I had seen them live. It was Awesome! I hope to go to Mexico to see them in the next couple of years. 👍😊🇨🇦
It was such a special night to get to see this debut. Lots of talk in the lineup over whether they'd do it (rumours of them being heard practicing in soundchecks). The energy really ramped up when someone told the front of the crowd "song 6". I finally got off my butt and uploaded my recording of the song, if you want a different perspective of it (2nd row, right in front of Dany).
Like several others here said, I was at this show as well. I was right behind Paul, Redog75 (Paul) on RUclips, and he recorded a really great unobstructed video of this song... It was a Great Concert!!!
So good Dany had to learn how to play with a slide for this song this video didn't show how great she did it sounded amazing. Ale and Pau on camera together so much was awesome the look Pau gave Ale at the start says it all about how nervous they were then of course they killed it. Ale's practicing at the beginning was cool to see especially because it was the first time live great reaction thank you. 🔥⚡⚡⚡
I was there, too. I like to stand in the centre with the main speakers about 30 degrees off to each side to get a stereo image if there's stereo content. The show was great.

Thanks! That glance between Ale and Pau; APOLOGIZE was incredibly difficult to do live! Dani's vocals are stellar and her creating the distortions via that slide aren't just incredible, they're phenomenally challenging. Ale and Pau are perfectly locked in, but to achieve the desired effect and for APOLOGIZE to work Ale had to play incredibly difficult progressions, play Melody-line and Bass-line, seamlessly switch between the 2, and the crazy percussive notes you hear during Dani's slide aren't from Dani, they're from Ale plucking the B string with such force I thought she'd rip it off. Then Ale just did an incredibly beautiful Bass solo starting at 5:45 in your reaction video, as if it was nothing. (Ale's vocals were also unusually loud, clear, and beautiful live). Currently Ale's complex Bass playing is done by great Jazz Bassists; it isn't something I see other current Rock bassists doing. This was Incredibly impressive. Finally, you were right to wonder how intense it was live: yes, those builds and drops were indescribable while the synergy in this song was mind-bending; how Dani, Ale, and Pau were able to so lock in as to make the vocals, riffs, solos, harmonics, distortions, percussive notes, and percussion sound like they were totally inseparable is beyond me. Ale's subharmonics were insane; my bones, blood, and teeth were all vibrating crazily, I thought Ale would bring the building down, and all the alarms at the The Global Seismographic Network went off. You can only pull off a song like APOLOGIZE if your oldest sister is one of the best lead singers in the world and also an amazing guitarist, your middle sister isn't just a brilliant drummer, but can drum like she's on fire yet never even get singed, and if you youngest sister is a world-class Jazz Bassist who plays Rock and learned to play like her hero, Jaco Pastorius, arguably the greatest Bassist ever, at 9. This was amazing live. Thanks again.
This is one of those songs that grows on you, the more you listen to it, grasp the content, and appreciate the musical construction of it. It's too bad that this fan cam didn't show Dany using the slide for the first time live, which is why it took them a long time to debut it - she had to practice playing chords with the slide on one of her fingers. I do love that it focused on Ale a lot, as she is such a great musician, but is usually quite content to be somewhat out of the spotlight. It it was fun to see the interactions between Ale and Pau.

You’re right, the audio wasn’t the best and whoever shot the video was obviously an Ale fan. Unfortunately, this view doesn’t really show Dany using a slide for the first time (other fancams do). Appreciate your reaction nonetheless. 👍😎

Along with focus on ALE we also got to see more of Pau up high enough to see her face and not blocked by her cymbals like happens a lot when it gets taken from Dany's side of the stage .
Was never really a fan of Apologize.... Until now! Great reaction! Reasonable sound and great view of the glossy haired goddess that is Ale! Shame about the guy getting in the way of seeing Dany, but, hey, that's liveness for you!
Ale is my favorite as well. I mean, I do appreciate the three of them, like a lot. But somehow I am more fond of Ale. Perhaps because she's the younger, or because I love bass, or for any other reason (or no reason at all).
