  • This Buddhist meditation, embedded in the context of the four applications of mindfulness and extracted from a live teaching, is centered around the exploration of the four elements-four properties of matter that manifest as solidity (earth), cohesion (water), movement (air) and heat/cold (fire). Discerning these components in our tactile experiences, we gradually let go of our tendency to reify our body as something permanent, singular, and self-existent.
