I've decided that this coming year is the one when I finally get over my fear of the zipper, and I expect I'll be coming back to your advice many times. Thank you for all your great videos, and wishing you all the best for Christmas and New Year. With the awful state of the world, isn't it nice that we can feel some connection with women in countries that seem far away, but really our planet is not that huge.
Whenever I am to do something new I can trust that your videos will be very informative with lots of tips and tricks, including stuff that more experienced sewists might find obvious. And the videos are shot in such a way that everything is visible and clear. Thank you! This time I will be first time sewing in invisible zipper and after seeing that you have a video about it I feel so much more confident
This is such a great tutorial, you really covered all the problematic parts. I have a love / hate with invisible zippers, like most people. Where they don’t have to cross another seam, they’re great. But once you have to cross another seam, oh my goodness! The force you have to use to close them, they’re like ticking time bombs waiting to split or jam. 😫
Thanks so much for this tutorial! This technique is much better than what the pattern instructions typically tell you to do. I can never get that technique to work 😂
Great idea 💡, thank you. I go to a sewing school and one student there would call an invisible zipper a "secret zipper", I thought that was very cute. 😊
Wow! THANKS, INVISIBLE ZIPPER HAVE BEEN MY DOWN FALL . I AM GOING TO SPEND A COUPLE HOURS TOMORROW DOING SOME PRACTICE INVISIBLE ZIPPERS WITH YOUR TUTORIAL
Your videos are so helpful. You have shown me that taking a little extra time to do things carefully actually make the project go smoother. I am taking more time to enjoy the process and getting better results. Thanks!

I made a long satin skirt in short order to wear to a wedding this weekend (floor length formal required, Argh!). Your instructions on the invisible zipper saved me! I literally had not put a zipper in a garment in 35 years!
Great tutorial as always! I do like invisible zippers. I have I skirt I made and wear A LOT and zipper is still holding. Never had one break on me thankfully. I've gotten pretty good at it (I do love the invisible zipper foot!) but have a hard time matching the sides so I will try your way next.
Very useful! Could you perhaps in the future make a video for skirts or dresses that have a zipper and a proper lining? (Not an underlining with just double fabric layers) I’ve searched for that kind of video forever but there does not seem to be any concernt that includes linings and zippers on RUclips and honestly it does get a bit more complicated
When you said you’re cold I was like shouting: we have December, of course it’s cold. And then there’s the south hemisphere where there’s summer 😅😅😅 Thanks for the great video!
Another great video. I also love the tips for the perfect finish at the top of the zipper/waistband. For a flawless centered application using a really cool trick with serger tweezers or a haemostat, I have had perfect results with the technique from Threads magazine (ruclips.net/video/dilNiUyuL28/видео.htmlsi=QYoNrREPJrd8nOoB), but I will definitely be trying your method as well. Thanks again!
I am making a pair of trousers after following your fitting instructions and making muslins I am at last ready to sew with fabric. I like trousers with a side zipper so am young to try an invisible one. I have one bought pair with a side zip and it has apiece of fabric which covers the zip in the inside, I would like to know how to achieve this.
Sounds like a zipper shield, it’s not something I can explain through a comment here but you can take you garment as a reference to create that piece. It gets sewn in after the zipper is done. I’m not a fan personally. The invisible zipper is already harder to manipulate and I would not want more layers there
I've heard other sewists say the same thing about invisible zippers, so I don't use them often. I don't have an accurate enough eye to get center zippers in the center, so lapped zippers are my thing. Isn't it great how many choices there are?
@@Retroicon13 Im not familiar with Singer machines or an expert on machines in general. I know this type of foot is easy to find and this works with my Janome.

You are an amazing seamstress 😊
❤ thank you that method explained and demonstrated so clearly worked!!!! 😊

I'm definitely getting an invisible zipper foot now. Your instructional videos give me so much confidence I can have beautiful technique outcomes 🤗

This is great info!! I could have used that when I made mine!
That was really clear and very helpful, thank you! I’m going to practice 😊

I’ve had my share of experimentation…. Even though it’s not my fave, I’ve figured out how it works best for me :)
This is so helpful. I’ve been afraid to sew an invisible zipper but this makes it seem very doable. Thank you!
You can do it. Practice on scraps and the seam ripper will always work to try again.
Thanks for sharing your tip
Very helpful, thank you
Thank you so much a very easy and quick tutorial. I was able to understand much easier compared to others. ❤
Glad it was helpful!

Love that! It’s secret for sure.
So neat , beautifully inserted and sewn ❤
Thank you 🙏 😊
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you Karina I will go ahead and sew this now. I haven’t done one for a long time and knew there must be some tricks which you have now explained.
Have fun!
Wow! That looks so much prettier than how I have been doing it. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! Cheers!
You look especially pretty in this video. Visiting your mom has a good effect on you 😊.
Oh thank you!
I was thinking the same thing. Karina, you do look especially pretty in this video. Love your beautiful scarf.
Excellent video.
That zipper foot seems easier than the one that I have, invisible zips are hard

Brilliant
Thank you for the tutorial and I'll save it for later but for now, I'm going for center insertion 😊
I used the centered way for two of my skirts :)

The invisible zipper foot that you have can you use that on a singer 6233?
