I'm so happy you guys did some more Alice. One of my all time favorite artists. He has so many cool songs, a lot of them have some fun tongue in cheek humor, ballads, straight rocking', and layered songs. I could be here for hours suggesting songs but I'll let others do that. It's amazing that he's still making music in his 70's.
Early Alice Cooper, with the original band is good stuff. They were my 1st concert in 69'.

I was 11 in 69'. My Dad took my friends and I. Went on to see them all through the 70s and 80s whenever they came around. The original band and all that early material was spectacular.
I saw him in the Killer tour in Denver. Best concert I've ever been to, bar none.
The original Alice Cooper band really rocks guys. No doubt. Check out their songs "Is It My Body?", "I'm Eighteen", " Under My Wheels", "School's Out", or "No More Mr Nice Guy".
This song was actually done by "Alice Cooper" when it was a band, back before it became a solo act.

There's a lot to explore when it comes to Alice Cooper, he's all about macabre, he's the godfather of shock rock. I think it would be cool if you'd listen to "Welcome To My Nightmare" or maybe "Teenage Frankentein" or perhaps "Billion Dollar Babies" for Halloween and still there's other songs like "Generation Landslide", "Unfinished Sweet", "Elected", "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "Under My Wheels". I really appreciate you guys getting into Alice Cooper, this was awesome, thanks!

Funny story. My dad (now 80) used to play a golf tourny in Phoenix every year. About 10-15ish years ago, he gets back in town and starts showing us pictures. Im looking and say, hey, thats Alice "f-ing" Cooper! He was like what? He played golf with him... for 4 straight days with Cooper in his 4 person group! He had NO clue who he was lol!

I think, “it’s a long long way to paradise” is the journey; they’re young so they got a lot ahead of them, “and I’m still on my own” they’re single, instead of doing it on your own they can go on it together. I remember when the song first came out.

Alice Cooper's take on romance back in 1971. The man truly set a standard in rock music when he took on the world in 1971 coming from Detroit and changed music and showbusiness forever... not just w/ his theatrical horror shows, but w/ amazing contributions to music as well.

Sign up for this tour. He is 75. He is touring with Rob Zombie. Alice is the most awesome christian ever. He never curses, draws the best musicians to him. First time I saw him was 1976ish. Check out the Hollywood Vampires if you get the chance. When he has a minute he has put three performing arts schools that teach everything that goes along with a career in a almost anything. It gives the kids/teens a place off the streets and build their pride. Watch his live set, "Alice Cooper - Be My Lover/Only Women Bleed/I Never Cry - Live" Great job you all are doing...

I was fortunate to grow up in the 70's and yeah, sometimes, that's the way it was! If you want to hit some more sides of Alice Cooper the band, and then later Alice Cooper the solo act, try Billion Dollar Babies, the song on the same titled album. If you want something harder, give the song Gimme a listen (it would fit in with Halloween) and for something acoustic listen to Stolen Prayer. This group, and the man, have been musical chameleons over the last 5 decades and there's something for every taste.
Notice the Mae West "Oh" before the final slow chorus.

In 1979, as a college freshman, I sold my text books back to the bookstore at mid-term in order to raise money for gas and tickets to see Alice Cooper for my first time. That was a Thursday night. I had no classes Friday and began playing backgammon for money Fri afternoon. I played all weekend until I had won three times what I sold the books for, which is what it cost me to buy my books back Mon morning. Never missed a class or assignment.
I have seen Alice 15 more times since then. His shows are like adult Halloween where he is always the victim of his own pranks and mis-deeds. In fact, for years his Halloween show in Detroit was the one to see every year if you could. He was a groundbreaker for sure who has an amazing music catalog. He is also a convincing performer. You can get lulled into thinking he is crazy as hell and really believes what he is singing about. In terms of music, he always has a killer band and his vocals sound more like his albums than most people I have seen. Thanks Asia and BJ for dipping your toes in this vast pond.
Vintage Alice is hard to beat. Billion Dollar Babies is my fave but there are so many good ones.

My favorite Alice Cooper song from my days in Middle school in 69-70. Alice Cooper is a Born-again Christian, and a great guy. We golfed together in Pheonix Arizona where he lives. I'm 67, and he must be 75 or so. He knows everyone in the business, over the last 55 years. The Rolling Stones, Beatles, The Who, everyone, and many guys from the Motown genre.

Just saw the man in concert about a month ago, after having seen him in 1978 and 1983, and he has not lost a thing over the years. Still loud and proud and putting on a "Show", with full theatrics, dancers, props, a great band, and the Guillotine. See him live if you can, you will not be disappointed.

I did a search and found you reacted to Alice’s School’s Out about 6 months ago. THAT was a fun reaction. When he would do that song live, it often stretched to 15 minutes. During the middle he would introduce each band member and have them do a solo. Did the entire song in a white tux and top-hat! He had huge banks of lights called “audience blinders” that would light up entire stadiums during the chorus, kind of pulsing with the lyrics. Wild.

I just heard you'all comment on Stevie Wonder's "Boogie On.." I am surprised that you don't know Stevie Played all of the instruments on that album. Stevie is the baddest musician that ever was. Stevie was employed by many artist to blow the harmonica, in their backgrounds. Perhaps you guys should do some 'musical history' before playing the "Black Greats". There is much to know to show they earn their accolades!
Back in the day there wasn't a lot of STDs. And the ones we caught were few and far between. A shot of penicillin and you're back ready, for the weekend. The pill was a new thing, and girls felt like they needed to make up for all the fun that the guys had been having. It wasn't unusual for girls to just show up at keg parties and just pick out a cute guy and stay in his van for the weekend without ever knowing their actual names. It was always Sunshine, or Tinkerbell, or moonchild etc. We surfed all day, and partied all night in the 70s.
