I will give an automatic Like any time you review Alice Cooper! You want an Alice Cooper love song? Try the song You and Me. You want a killer rock song? Go for the song Under My Wheels. How about an anti-spousal abuse song? Try Only Women Bleed. A song about Alice's feelings, when he was released from rehab? That would be How You Gonna See Me Now? You want a song that's just a party? I'd go for the song Elected. Alice is brilliant! Keep going. You have lots to discover!
Definitely agree with ever word. Alice is all over the place musically. We used You & Me for our wedding song. Seen the Coop so many times to, always great.
Alice Cooper is a complex rocker. The father of shock rock, add in Ozzy and bang. Please check out a different side of Alice with his song Only Women Bleed. It's him addressing domestic violence and a tender side of Alice Cooper. The lyric video is best in this incidence because it's the studio version.
Love Alice Cooper. Y’all should react to three of his other songs Eighteen, schools out, and for his softer side react to I never cry. This is one I think Amber would like. I think Jay would love schools out.
Once of the nicest and down to earth guys in music. He's a Christian who plays golf. He never wanted a boring show, so hence, the Godfather of shock rock!
You gotta hit his classics. 'I'm Eighteen', 'Under my Wheels', "Be My Lover', 'Schools Out', 'Elected', 'Only Women Bleed', 'You and Me', 'How you Gonna see me Now', and 'Welcome to My Nightmare'. Of the more modern stuff I'd recommend 'Lost in America', 'I got a Line on You' Deeper cuts would be "Is it my Body?', ''Desparado'(not the Eagle's song), 'Pain', 'Perfect', 'Man of the Year', 'Sanctuary', 'What Baby Wants'(a duet where Kesha plays the devil) The main thing you have to understand is Alice that is singing is a character, and a bad guy. He pays for his evil at the end of every live show, by his execution. Because the Alice character isn't redeemable. Alice Cooper the performer, on the other hand, has done a lot of good in the world. Stands as an example of how to be a rock-n-roll animal, without destroying yourself. He's been married to the same woman since 1976. She was a dancer in his "Welcome to my NIghtmare" tour, lol He's still doing a lot of shows every year, and delivers!
I love when the pictures of him working soup kitchens or other charities come out. They show that his job is as an entertainer, but he is really all about helping his fellow humans.
@@stevemurrell6167Some people are smart enough to know they don't know everything. I learned a good bit when I passed away in 97 from blood loss. Still don't know it all, sometimes we have to admit there are things we just cannot understand, maybe you will run into them one day.
One of the masters of Shock ROCK!!! But a devoted Christian. Puts on a Great Theatrical Show. A lot like band's like KISS, Meat Loaf and W.A.S.P. to name a few.
Alice was on The Headbangers Ball back in the day. He told a story about a trip he had taken. He was on an overseas flight where the person sitting next to him was a little old lady. She told him her grandson loved his music and they chatted for a bit before she told him she was going to take a nap and not to let them wake her for dinner. When the plane landed they went to wake her up and she had passed away in her sleep. He waited with her until the paramedics came to get her. He was very sweet but joked to the host that the only thing he wished he had thought to do was put two bite marks on her neck. I remember laughing at the thought
I am a senior and live in Windsor Ontario 1 mile from Detroit where Alice is from. Love this band. Try Schols out for sumer. Saw him Live in Windsor and Detroit. Thanks
As kid I was always on the look out for anything new or different. Alice Cooper entered my collection with "schools out" but the one which I always come back to is "Hello Hooray". It's a song which would be on every mix tape I made. I Loved it. Still do. A bit beyond rock, almost into the theatrical, but very in character. Try it if you wish. Hoping you and yours are and remain well.
Alice used "horror" to address actual human behavior and thinking! ...and he (importantly!) always had a sense of humor regarding horrific behavior and ideas (as opposed to THE MAJORITY of those who poke around with those things!!!-which, i.m.o., is what made/makes Alice tolerable!!). The band and he tended to use "weird & terrifying" to disarm and "divert focus, slightly" from (thereby, sometimes: increasing the impact and, sometimes, mollifying it, just enough!). This band, literally, INVENTED "shock rock." Highly recommended: band songs: "Is It My Body"; "Raped & Freezin'"; "Generation Landslide" 🔥🔥🔥 Solo albums to pay attention to: Flush The Fashion; Zipper Catches Skin; Dada; Special Forces ! 🤘🤘
Hey Jay and Amber - for another great Alice Cooper song with a message - check out "Only Women Bleed". An amazing performer, but also a great human being behind the facepaint.
This whole album is amazing. Love's a Loaded Gun, Feed My Frankenstein, Burning Our Bed, etc. The whole album. Just flip through it sometime. I think y'all will like it. Excellent review.
They're from Detroit...I rode on same flight from L.A. in 1968!!!!! Alice Cooper makes great cameo in Johnny Depp's "DARK SHADOWS" HILARIOUS!😂😂 Later on they put a band together, Hollywood Vampires!!!❤❤❤❤❤🎸🎸🎸👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Alice Cooper: The Nightmare was a conceptual television special showcasing the music of the Welcome to My Nightmare album by Alice Cooper. It originally broadcast in North America on April 25, 1975, by ABC. I remember watching this it was on a Friday night

Joe Satriani is all over this album playing guitar. Joe was a teacher for Steve Vie from David Lee Roth's band and Kirk Hammett of Metallica. He is mostly an instrumentalist so if you want to check that, "Surfing with the Alien" is a great place to start. If you would rather vocals also maybe try "Big Bad Moon".
Alice Cooper is known as one if the friendliest, realistic and kindest rock stars in the world. He absolutely loves his fans and rarely turns them away from an autograph and quick exchange. He lives an ordinary life, in that he actually has been seen many times doing his own shopping at Walmart and ordinary diners. He's not afraid of the public. He's very graceful with his position. I'm as much a fan of Vincent the man as much as Alice the Cooper!!
Amber and Jay you need to do some 70's Alice Cooper Dead Babies it's not what you think or Killer or Halo Of Files or The Ballad Of Dwight Fry Live there all great songs from the 70's thanks if you want Alice Cooper Shock Rock then these songs are for you
You should check out some of the more recent Alice classics: "Wicked Young Man" (written in response to those who blame mass shootings on heavy rock music) ; "I Am Made of You" (Alice's version of "Amazing Grace" - I kid you not - Alice is a dedicated Christian); "Dynamite Road" (a satirical takedown of drunk/buzzed driving); "Rock & Roll" (A fantabulous rendering of Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels' cover of a Lou Reed song); "$1000 High Heel Shoes" (the funkiest R&B song Alice has ever recorded).
Alice Cooper is SO GOOD in all his eras. The Welcome to My Nightmare album will show you more of his shock rock with jazz/cabaret side. Please keep going on the Coop!!!!

That is also Joe Satriani on guitar on this song and in the video. This album featured a lot of other rock artists. On the song Feed my Frankenstein you get Joe Satriani and Steve Vai on the same song. Both these guys are guitar gods. Joe Satriani “Satch” has played with a lot of bands, lately with Sammy Hagar in the band Chickenfoot. You guys know Steve Vai from his time with David Lee Roth, and he was the devil in the movie Crossroads that you guys did. He also played in Whitesnake. And something pretty wild is that Vai was a guitar student of Satch. Another person that Satch taught guitar to is Kirk Hammett, guitarist from Metallica.
I love Alice Cooper!! I used to dress up like him for Halloween when I was in high school. I was in an Alice Cooper cover band in my 20's called Million Dollar Babies 😅.Have you listened to 'Man Behind the Mask' yet?

"Everybody's Free to Ware Sunscreen (class of '97)" by Baz Luhrmann is very interesting. You've never done anything like it on the channel. Listening to it now, after 26 years, I understand how true it is.
Alice Cooper is one of the Gods of Rock music. You should look to watch videos from his time in the 70's. He used to and still does a theatrical act in all the concerts with fire, a guillotine where he simulates a decapitation, he went on stage with snakes on his neck, and things like that, that's why he is one of the pioneers of what is known called "Shock Rock", along Arthur Brown, 70's Iggy Pop, W.A.S.P., and GWAR.
Its rare that Alice got clean/sober earlier than many and managed to find a way to stay cool and relevant then got even better. Hires great young guns and supports them. Great golfer. Originally one of the most drugged up scary creatures. Now he's an old golf stud...and still damn cool. It's just not fair! lmfao!
ROBIN TROWER - " Day Of The Eagle " 1970s Rock 🎸 Blues. from the fantastic album Bridge Of Sighs , comes another Amazing Rockin' Bluesy mega hit song I highly recommend it youguys
I actually haven’t seen that video or heard that song! I have heard a few Alice Cooper and know he is very good, amazing, actually! This was definitely great with the lyrics and the video was awesome!❤❤ Glad you guys reacted to it! Thanks Jay and Amber!👍👍
This song is a monster hit because Slash, Ozzy Osbourne, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani make guest appearances on it! And the Trash (where "Poison" is included) and Hey Stoopid albums were ridiculously full of guest big stars like the guys from Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Motley Crue and more! There's even a song co-composed with Joan Jett ("House of Fire"). Any song from those two albums will be absolutely good to have a follow-up... Now, you want some Cornell? (not cowbell, Cornell XD ...like in Soundgarden's Chris Cornell) Check the great songs "Stolen Prayer" and "Unholy War" from the incredible Last Temptation album👌
You should check out "Bed of Nails" or "Love's a Loaded Gun" also. For example. If you prefer his 80's stuff which I perosnally do. Most seem to only suggest 70's here.
His album Billion Dollar Babies was my favorite. Alice Cooper Aka Vincent Damon Furnier was his real name. His father was a minister. Believe it or not, Alice was a neighbor and friend of Groucho Marx and the two would watch old movies and drink beer all night when Groucho had insomnia.
I'm so lucky to live in Windsor. From Motown, to Blues, to Rock. Bob Segar and Alice was my music. Saw both of them in Windsor bars in the early and knew they were stars.
I’m from Windsor too!! It was great having Detroit right across the river. World class anything (sports, music, entertainment,) then back across the Ambassador Bridge home.

Best love songs: You and Me. I never Cry. How You Gonna See Me Now. Best topic song: Only Women Bleed. So many choices
Same here
Agree. Clones is also fun and visionary.
I absolutely LOVE "Only Women Bleed" it's very soft for Alice Cooper but so sweet ❤
Yes!!! Powerful and moving song! 🤘😎
I loved absolutely loved lita ford's cover
I would call that solo track: RAW! 🤘🤘
Yes! And I would also like to throw "Only my heart talkin" to that as well. They will both love those when they get to them for sure
Yes! This song stopped me from doing away with myself as many others have said it did for them. Alice Cooper with the tough love 🖤🖤🖤

Yeah, those are great ones.
Alice Cooper - Billion Dollar Babies
Alice Cooper - Pain
Alice Cooper - Is It My Body
Alice Cooper - I Never Cry
Alice Cooper - Eighteen
Pain is a great song. So are the others, but surprised to see Pain pop up.
Only Woman Bleed, I Love The Dead
"Is It My Body" is an underappreciated gem!!!
[So is: "Raped & Freezin' "!]
(If you don't know it, you NEED to hear it!!!🔥🔥)
If prefer his 80's stuff. "Bed of Nails", "Love's a Loaded Gun", "He's Back (Man Behind the Mask)", "I Got A Line On You" etc.
I Never Cry makes me do just that. Terrific song.

My old boss and him golfed together a bunch, never would have thought though.
@@chrisgobeil4751 Nice!
"Schools Out" is what put this artist on the map.
One of the first Albums I ever bought was schools out the jacket had flaps on it that unfolded into a desk
You gotta hit his classics. 'I'm Eighteen', 'Under my Wheels', "Be My Lover', 'Schools Out', 'Elected', 'Only Women Bleed', 'You and Me', 'How you Gonna see me Now', and 'Welcome to My Nightmare'.
Of the more modern stuff I'd recommend 'Lost in America', 'I got a Line on You'

The main thing you have to understand is Alice that is singing is a character, and a bad guy. He pays for his evil at the end of every live show, by his execution. Because the Alice character isn't redeemable. Alice Cooper the performer, on the other hand, has done a lot of good in the world. "Bed of Nails" should be second after "Poison". If you call that modern stuff.
I'm genuinely shocked you haven't done "School's Out" yet! That was our annual anthem at the end of every school year, and is well worth the listen!
Alice Cooper is a devout Christian and most of his songs have a Christian message in them.
I love when the pictures of him working soup kitchens or other charities come out. They show that his job is as an entertainer, but he is really all about helping his fellow humans.
Is he really? Wow, I always thought he was intelligent.

LOVE Alice Cooper!!Alice Cooper, Ozzie, Jay& Miss Amber AND a dirty sock! The TOTAL entertainment package!!!
The drummer is Eric Singer...drummer for KISS.
Believe it or not, Alice was a neighbor and friend of Groucho Marx and the two would watch old movies and drink beer all night when Groucho had insomnia.
Billion Dollar Babies is the album to checkout
I'm so lucky to live in Windsor. From Motown, to Blues, to Rock. Bob Segar and Alice was my music. Saw both of them in Windsor bars in the early and knew they were stars.
I’m from Windsor too!! It was great having Detroit right across the river. World class anything (sports, music, entertainment,) then back across the Ambassador Bridge home.
He's still rocking out. You should go see him
Like Joeskalamera said, AC is a devout Christian. He does do some dark songs, but he's a really great artist and person.
Listen to "Welcome to my Nightmare" one of greatest originals
Welcome To My Nightmare!
Yes Ozzy, Slash, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani play on this song. Alice is one of the most respected people in the music industry
This song is fantastic ! I miss so much this era 🤘🙏🤪

Hard to believe his favorite past time is to go golfing. He is quite good at it.
Finally some rock....
Eric Singer, the drummer for Kiss the last twenty years killing it on the drums.
