I've just always mained Zelda. I never really decided "Ok I'm gonna main Zelda" it just kinda happened. For me it was just kind of obvious who my main should be. I've never thought about maining any other character, Zelda has just always been the character I enjoyed the most and won the most with, even back in Brawl. I don't even know why I love her so much, I've never even played a Legend of Zelda game in my life, but I've just always been drawn to her. I don't even feel like I need or want a secondary because I love her so much. I know not everyone's path to finding their main is the same as mine, so if you're having difficulty deciding, this video is great for helping you :)
+Neow Neow I ended up as a Zelda main, too. Unintentionally, too. I was just playing friendlies with my best bud, and I was using the random button. Eventually, I got to Zelda and fell in love with her instantly. When I asked about her tiering, I was utterly shocked that she placed basically at the bottom! I'm still a Zelda main though. And I have yet to see a Zelda better than mine, besides Nairo's (I'm not looking for a challenge. If anything that just shows how under represented she is).
+Neow Neow i decided on release that i wanted to play zelda and i hated it in the begining...eventually i figured out how to play her and now she is literally the only person i can play is smash 4
No. 2 is so true. I picked up Lucina because I love Awakening. She is my favourite character from that game and liking her made me want to elevate my gameplay with her. Now I know a lot of tricks and good players have complimented me on my Lucina which makes me really happy. Robin is my current main though because a lot of people don't know how to fight her.
I enjoyed this video. Since the beginning of Sm4sh I mained Marth but on the side I would be trying out more characters and picking them up. From doing that, my mains are Marth, Falco, Charizard, and Pikachu.
I mained as sonic in brawl, who was d tier. Luckily for me, in smash 4, sonic is number 10, so it was a boost for me. But this guy has a point; pick a character you lik and know about
I don't totally understand the video because i'm not so much cool on English but.. my reasons for get a main wpuld be: 1.You have to know some dates about the character 2.Get fun playing with it 3,Learn to use it and practicing with friends for a few time (using it a lot of times ) and trying to know all his basic moves and for a test of your game 4.Trying to do strategies as good as you play with friends now in For glory (where you'll find excellent players, pros, and a lot of campers, trappers, suiciders and all kind of players that makes you angry many times but you'll know if you're good player) :D
I seem to have phases where I just swap mains for a little bit. Like recently I switched from Sheik, to ZSS, to Yoshi, to Greninja, and then finally back to Sheik again. I have no clue why I do this some times. My only thought is I decide to take a break from my main for a while to learn or improve other characters.
I main pit, I never cared about him before, I hated him in Brawl, but he just feels good to play and his end game quotes when he wins are the best. ''It's game over for you!'' just really is a free taunt that you can't avoid and I love it!
I used to main Ike since Brawl. He represents everything I want in a character: good spacing, big damage and great ko potential. However, i got into 3ds with him. I got bored eventually, so I used Ganondorf. I didn't really win with him, even though he's very fun. So just for funsies, I chose Rosalina. The next three games were my best games of all time. On the third one, I three stocked a lvl 9 Marth in 3 minutes, a feat that I have never accomplished. She went on to be my best character. She's also a blast to play as and I'm glad I discovered her.
I honestly am currently enjoying my Mario. I played Luigi, Pacman, Kirby, Pikachu, Little Mac, Ike, but Mario is the character that I feel the most confident with
+Mirashade you're playing kinda rare characters i like that I usually never see any good jiggly's or Palutena's. I love playing yoshi he's (she) my main usually i love combos and that stuff but i also love being in the air. So I picked yoshi cause he's great in the air has a great spike a ridiculous d air and a good Uair and Bair his Nair can lead into Fair. His groundgame is decent his tilts are weak and his throws are just bad .
Lol I main Olimar. He's rarely, if not ever used online with few notable competitive Olimar mains so I am obligated to feel special. But shit is he so light, His only weakness. ; - ;
Thanks JoeKing, this is really helpful. Personally, I chose Pit since I used him a lot in Brawl. I also tried his game and thought it was pretty good. My other main, Pikachu, well, I just chose him because I love Pokemon, and I used him a lot in brawl.
I haven't really found my main yet, though I have been Jr/Ludwig a lot, since I adore the Koopalings. My mains were Ice Climbers, so... can you think of anything who's similar to them at all? Maybe I haven't noticed it from anyone yet. They could do a lot, like that spinning could have them attack while they're also moving. With up they could attack while jumping at the same time. With down they could attack from in front and behind. Normal B was a projectile so they could attack from a distance. Now that I think about it, maybe Fox is a little similar. Though I can't say I'm really interested in him as much. ;; Mains are hard- Maybe I ought to just stick with Popo and Nana Miis. Miis are a godsent, but I wish Ice Climbers' fighting style could come back.
I chose Yoshi very early on, because he felt the most natural for my play style, he just acted like I wanted him to do when I wanted him to and I had tons of fun with him. Then many people started to rage around "meh meh Yoshi is only spamming buttons". So I told myself, ok I can be good with other characters, so I picked Meta-Knight and I had to do more work to become good with him, but I also really like him. Now Yoshi is still my strongest character, but I'm close to this level with others like Meta-Knight, Kirby, Lucario, Roy and Marth! I like alot of characters now since I got used to them. :D
I knew from before he was technically announced that I wanted to main Yoshi, and wouldn't ya know it, he's been top tier for ages. My secondary currently is Lucina, and I'm working on Little Mac and Pac-Man.
I've been maining Link ever since I got the game, but I recently realized I'm actually quite good with Samus. I'm great with R.O.B. and Yoshi and Mario but I'm sticking with Link, maybe considering Samus as a secondary.
I pretty much only mained Ike at first since he was my main in Brawl but since getting Sm4sh I've gotten proficient with Greninja, Shulk, Marth, Ganondorf, Meta Knight, and Roy as well. All very fun to play! And Roy looks and sounds very cool! I love how his sword is all about fire. Sometimes I like to blast my opponents with a quick little uncharged flare blade (and I never get tire of his "Eyaaaah!"s and "TOREYAH!"s).
I have played with every character countless times and Lucas has always been the one that felt right to me. It's weird 'cause he's a defensive character but I play very offensively.
In Brawl, my mains were Mario, Marth, Wolf, Zelda, Samus and Lucario. When the clone characters were leaked, I originally hated them, but now I main all three because I think their just better versions of my previous mains. Mario for Dr Mario, Marth for Lucina.and I was going to main Pit in this game, who also happened to be a ex-main, but I just prefer Dark Pit. Zelda being separated from Sheik and Samus from ZZS, was difficult since I like all four, but I would have too many mains. So in the end If went with ZZS and Sheik, but I do miss Samus, and I've been having alot of fun playing with Zelda again. Then I ended up dropping ZZS and Sheik for Roy who is a fun Marth, and Mewtwo who I guess is the predecessor of Lucario. Now the just have to wait for Wolf to return and I've got my perfect team. At some point I was thinking about maining Lucas because I found out I'm quiet good with him, but I have no connection with him so dropping him wasn't too bad. But dropping Zelda and Samus was really hard cause Samus was one of my first and oldest mains, and I love the Zelda series, and Zelda and Sheik are one of my favorite characters. I wish they never got separated. So at this point I have 5 mains, being Lucina, Roy, Dark Pit, Dr Mario and Mewtwo.
I just pick lucina one day because people talk a lot of trash about her and I felt that she was equal to marth but more sassy, then I play fire emblem awakening and I really like her personality and here I am several thousand matches latter and she's still my main
I have 3 mains. My most main is pikachu, 2nd is kirby and 3rd is link. If you learn to use links tether grab, he can have amazing recovery and the best edgegaurding in the game. He is really underrated.
My first main was Link, Marth and Dark Pit. Then I dropped Link and Dark Pit but kept Marth. I also went with Ike and Robin. My Robin play was awful though so I dropped him. I picked up Toon Link, Ike and Marth. I had played Toon Link a bit too much and couldn't get back into the style of Ike though so I dropped him. I played a bit as Yoshi as a joke, the same with Little Mac. I still play Yoshi sometimes though. I had also left the game for a bit and gotten rusty at Marth so I dropped him. However I did pick up Lucina and Roy. I messed around with Ganondorf a bit. I played him as a joke and trolled with him. Then I looked at GRSmash's video of Chudat's trolls. I picked up Kirby. My current mains (in order of most used): Roy, Kirby, Lucina, Toon Link, Ganondorf and sometimes Yoshi. I am looking into Greninja. By the end of the Smash 4 community I want to be decent at (not mained) every character so I can have the ultimate main: Random.
That's what holds back most Smashers. They overcommit to too many characters all at once. It's a lot easier to get better with one main, not half the cast.
Here's a question: I pick the character I like and I lose with them, but the rest of the roster I legitimately don't like or I lose with them worse than the selection I made...where do I go from here?
Reason number two is why I chose Little Mac. He was hated in the beginning of Smash 4, so I didn't pay much attention to him. Then I played Punch Out for the Wii. From there, I have mained Little Mac.
I main King Dedede and on one hand he's definitely a low-tier character and so sometimes I'll get moody or think of changing or feel unmotivated when I feel like I'm playing with a handicap, but on the other hand, when I play against other really good players, I often do get a lot of respect for playing him and it feels good. He fits my playstyle and I think he's probs the best character for me :P (sakurai plz buff ddd needs more than 2 viable kill options)
There are pros to having a main but also a big con. Using the same character every battle eventually makes u predictable as a character itself and there can be bad matchups where ur main can't really do anything depending on who that main is. So it's always good to have 2 or more mains than just sticking to 1 character.
5 to 1 I main: pikachu, shulk, Mario, sheik, sonic/megaman. Love them all even though most of my characters are high/top tier but it really isn't that important because I love playing as them and want to git gud with them.
I've heard the play-style suggestion before, and to me it's never really struck as very good advice. Without getting a feel for the characters it's difficult to even discover what play-style one prefers. How can I know I don't like floaty characters if I've never played Luigi? How can I know if I don't like heavies if I don't try to play Bowser? etc. In my experience its better to try all the characters then stick to the ones that feel natural instead of finding a play-style first.
I hate it when people say they main multiple characters. they're called maims because these are your go to characters. if you're constantly choosing between multiple ones then they aren't your mains, rather characters you're good with. mains aren't necessarily the characters you're best at but just the ones you choose without hesitation, and mains are something that can change over time. I changed mains a lot. at the moment I do Ness, earlier I was game and watch
Tried the demo before getting the full game; thought I'd be maining Link, but then I fell in love with how Lucario plays. Kinda funny since I used to hate it, but I guess I started to like it more after playing through B2. Just a shame I can't use Zoroark ;-;
This may sound weird but no matter how long I play smash (Played since 64) I can never find a character I am fully satisfied with. I know I like having projectile game, I know I like not being crippled because I have said projectile game, and I know I like characters whose kit feels flowing, but I can't find anyone I like fully. The closet I have are these few I am mostly decided on. Olimar/Alph: This guy is probably my favorite, I love his combo game, I love his mechanics, but I just hate how sometimes his pikmin fly a thousand miles for no reason and his recovery is really bad if the enemy is smart. Duck Hunt: He play so similar to Olimar, but more on the trolly side. I avoid him over Olimar because I still want to play with my friends and they hate Duck Hunt so I can't bring myself to getting attached. Wii Fit Trainer: When I explain why I have my troubles, everyone is going to say to go with Wii Fit Trainer but honestly.... her a moves are so hard to get used to. I love a lot of Wii Fits mechanics and the simple troll factor to it but her a moves are just soooooooo unfun to use. I get that she is all about her denial game (I wouldn't play her if she wasn't) but I still want get off me moves I can depend on. Toon Link: I used to play Young Link in Melee since he was the closet to my playstyle, he is also rather fun but a few of his tricks I never got used to and I may like the other characters more. Zelda: She kind of fits the bill but the fact is I am not too big of a fan or her aerials and I hate her side b. The fact side b lasts one frame and the reward is abysmal really gets me, I wish it just lasted a little more frames to make up for all its other downsides so I could harass with it, but no, its nearly useless even when used right. My problem is in most games I play I am either the Support Role or the Mage kinda character. I like shooting abilities and or empowering myself/others with reasonable downsides for the power. All the smash equivalents are just simply wonky because it is a fighting game, which is weird because I found that other fighting games always have at least one character I can substitute for my playstyle really easily. Oh and before you say it, I really really tried to like Rosalina, but I just hate her design and I am not a fan of her pet mechanic sadly.
My issue is I can't seem to pick I have been told I am a pretty boss Toon Link but I love playing swordsman characters. My Marth isn't terrible and I enjoy him but Cloud has the ups of being a good spacer and has a projectile. Along with a ton other characters I enjoy.
whatever works for you. but just know if you play defensively people will talk crap. but in general 6wx has had more overall success. regarding evo, I argue static manny got for because of customs.
+evilmawile I heard during the Manny vs FOW match at EVO that Manny doesn't like customs. Personally, I play an aggressive Sonic, but in the Top 5 Campy or something characters video, people in the comments complained about why Sonic wasn't on the list, so I wasn't sure which play style was best for the character.
I like Ike and Marth, starting to get into Jiggs, but Mario is the only one I've beaten my amiibo with, and the one I feel like I'm really good with. Though I really don't like this whole psychopath thing about him (I love Game Theory), but he's still one of my faves, both in Mario games and Smash. I guess I should main him..?
hey nice vid. could you do like a top 5 or top 3 best character to be on a team with for like the team battle. i don't know though it would be cool. any way cool vid, you do an amazing job with your video.
Link and Captain Falcon have always been my 2 mains in every Smash game. Even in Brawl where they were both garbage, I can say I'm really glad Link is finally a good character though
This is how I got my first main: The night before I got smash 4 I had a dream where I was playing against my friend as kirby.... When I got home I started playing smash and I played as kirby because I was playing with him in the dream..... So When I was playing kirby just felt right he was fun to use, I liked his speed and attacks and his multiple jumps. And almost every person that Has played smash with me mains kirby :)
in brawl i been maining peach like a muthabeach but i like to experiment with samus link pit meta knight ness i have difficulty playing as dedede or dorf or dk cause i have difficulty landing a hit i find mario a little bit slow and his attacks don't do much damage again i think samus or zero suit maybe a high choice for me zero suit i find has greater agility if less weapons
I used to main Robin just because, idk, I guess I liked how he played :/ then I got Kid Icarus: Uprising, and completely dropped him for Pit. Yeah, I love everything about Pit, I think he's fun to play as, and I win with him. Main.
My mains are Bowser Jr, Little Mac and Pac Man. I feel like their really overhated but I don't get why people really hate this trio. (I do understand why people hate Little Mac but I still love him.)
I use to main captain falcon in the beginning of the game but I just dropped him, then since I like Luigi I decided to main him and then I found out he was top tier. Eventually I got tired of Luigi and right now I main Pikachu because I like Pikachu and I like his play style.
My main right now is lucas, my secondary is luigi because his main combo is pretty easy for me and I like his style a bit more then Mario, and my other main that I rarely use but I still know how to use and is fun to use would be ness
I somehow went from Lucina to Roy and Roy to cloud then cloud to Lucina (again) then from Lucina to Mario then from Mario to Ganon for fun and fox is currently my main how did I go through so many characters?
The issue with my main pick no is that all the characters I'm good with, I don't like their feel, and all the characters who have a good feel, I just can't win with. These two things conflict with eachother. Mario, Luigi, Dr. Mario, Marth, Lucina, Ike, Samus, Zero Suit Samus, Kirby, and Meta Knight have good feels in my opinion because I played their games before, but as them I never win. I really can only win with Diddy King, Link, Shiek, Greninja, Lucario, and Shulk bug I'm not a fan of the way I feel when using them to fight.
+Thomas Cherry (Personal) Forgive me if this is too late (since you posted this a month ago), but are/were you trying to learn _all_ of those characters? If so, I think your real problem is that you're trying to learn waaaay too many characters. Most good players use only 3 characters maximum and only start with 1 while they learn, you mention you have 11 characters you like and 6 characters you say you're good with, combining both = 17 characters and that's waaaaaaay too many for one person. No offense but if you practice 6+ characters, you're probably not as good as you think you are with them because no one and I mean no one can be great with 17 or even 6 characters like that: you can only practice one character at a time and there's no way you'd have the time to learn the matchups and gain the in-depth character knowledge for each one. Even the top players use only 3 at most. Assuming you still play the game after that month, my advice is to pick just 1-2 characters from your "good feels" list and stick with them and only them for the long run, and once you get good at the game you may have room for just one more. If you try to practice anybody else you won't have enough time to develop them and you're really spreading yourself thin. Please note that I don't mean this all as an insult or to annoy you, but I do this to try and help you. And again, if you stopped playing the game after that month ago, I apologize for this.
+Hub Hikari (my opinion on that), Mega Man, Meh. Kirby, My third best character. Pit/Dark pit, pretty good. Toon Link glad to see someone else here that likes toon link, because to my surprise not a lot of people like him. Remember those were my thoughts.
+SwimmingSwampert People don't like Toon Link all that much because he's an incredibly difficult character to play as. He requires precise item management and you need to know how to limit your opponent's approach options. I like him though, he's one of my many sub mains.
My mains: Lucas, Kirby, Yoshi, Mario, C. Falcon, Bowser, Pac-man, Mega Man etc. Not sure why it's those characters considering they don't have a lot in common (i think)
Ike, Roy, Lucina, Mario, Ganondorf, Yoshi, Pikachu, my new one being Cloud... I wanna use Mewtwo and ZSS but she's too complicated for me, and Mewtwo's still floatly, but they're optional...
Mah manes are Charizard and Luigi, i like Charizard alot and i've played all the Pokemon games so i've learnt the whole backstory thing but i mainly bring him to customs tourneys just because of how godly he is with customs, Weegee is my non-custom main, i like how Goofy he is and the sounds and expression he makes when battling are hilarious to me so it's really fun to play him i don't really like using all the top tier stuff though but Luigi has all the qualities i love so i play him anyway :)
Main: Mega Man Secondary: Greninja Pockets: Pit/Rosalina (torn between who to go with, Pit is much easier to use but I seek an answer to Sheik) Remember people, don't try to "main" more than 3 characters. It will.... ruin you
***** You're never gonna get great with them all then. Trying to master a character when you're playing 3 others is probably gonna be near impossile and its recommended to go for 3 max. Not saying you should completely drop all characters, but make only 3 strong ones (1 if you don't have fundamentals yet) and play the rest just for fun and games. Cause there's gonna be a loooooooooot of matchups to learn otherwise.
***** And just because you've them all since 3DS and have that high a win rate doesn't mean you're great with them. Plus, A win rate on for glory is _not_ a valid way of proving your skill. 1. 70% of For Glory players suck and most of its players aren't even close to the level of tournament viable players. 2. Latency problems online can cause a few frames of delay during really critical moments and makes spacing and other precise things harder to do, as well as making otherwise laggy things harder to punish (especially rolling, so many people can get away with this on FG because of lag). No matter ow smooth a match feels, there'll always be at least 3-4 frames of delay minimum. Lag also helps and harms certain characters more than others: guys like Pac-Man, Meta Knight, Pikachu, and more are almost impossible to play online. 3. Only stage it plays on is Final Destination, which causes a big imbalance for many characters and favors those with projectiles like Toon Link for instance. For Glory is only good For Fun, ironically. You may be a force there, but its not really gonna help you improve in anything else and playing just For Glory will only make you *worse* at the game. If you really wanna prove yourself, enter a local tournament near you with those 4 characters of yours and see far you get, or if you can only play online, go to Smashladder.com instead of For Glory.Take it from me dude, I've always had a win rate from 75% (now bumped to 82% I believe) from when the game came out, but I was still a terrible player tsince I got creamed the first 3 actual tournaments I entered and could not survive nearly as long, and playing multiple characters like that only made things worse for me. It wasn't until I started dropping characters and got more exposure in my scene where I started to improve.
***** Also, beating rushdown characters with those 2 said characters you play do NOT make matchups irrelevant. That just means you're just really good or your opponent is just really, really bad (if the majority of your experience is from For Glory, I'm guessing its more likely the latter considering how rare it is to come across anyone who actually good). Either way, That just means you outplayed your opponent, nothing more. Its true that skill is more important than matchups and characters, but matchups are meant for people around the same skill level as the other. If you and your opponent aren't evenly matched or neither of you what you're doing, no offense, but its not a good measurement.
It's hard to find a main. Every time I think I got a main, there is another character that I play and think I should main. It's too hard.
+Oshawott “Oshawottotter” otter Same here, but I think I,m a little Mac main for now.
+KentCario lmao a mac main
+Oshawott “Oshawottotter” otter me to
same
+REVIEW MOVIE WORLD is there a problem being a little Mac main
My main is definitely Lucario. I love how you can take damage and the opponent thinks they have won and then you pull out a 110% aura and get an instant KO
How to find a Main(ZeRo's Checklist):
1. Are they considered the best character in the game? Check.
FINISHED. Main acquired.
Zero plays game and watch
I've just always mained Zelda. I never really decided "Ok I'm gonna main Zelda" it just kinda happened. For me it was just kind of obvious who my main should be. I've never thought about maining any other character, Zelda has just always been the character I enjoyed the most and won the most with, even back in Brawl. I know not everyone's path to finding their main is the same as mine, so if you're having difficulty deciding, this video is great for helping you :)
U might still want a secondary in case u enter a tournament or multiple matches I'm for glory.
Peanut Butter Pikachu I probably should tbh but I just don't really have the time, patience or energy to learn other characters super in-depth.
If anything that just shows how under represented she is).
mariofan1ish Yeah she's a bit underrated. I do believe she's low tier but not quite as bad as people think.
+Neow Neow i decided on release that i wanted to play zelda and i hated it in the begining...eventually i figured out how to play her and now she is literally the only person i can play is smash 4
Main: link
Secondary: yoshi
In progress: fox, lucario, little Mac, duckhunt
After my first match using him I knew Little Mac was my main, and after a quite a few months, he still is! And I have so much fun with him!
This video really helped me find my main. First, i went to lucario to greninja, now i main a link. Thanks a lot man!
I enjoyed this video. Since the beginning of Sm4sh I mained Marth but on the side I would be trying out more characters and picking them up. From doing that, my mains are Marth, Falco, Charizard, and Pikachu.
step 1) Main your favorite character. Step 2) If your main has some very bad matchups, learn a secondary that covers those matchups.
Main: R.O.B
Secondary: Jigglypuff
Pockets: Pit/Lucas
(I think Corrin Looks awesome so he will probably somewhere on here when he is released.)
I mained as sonic in brawl, who was d tier. Luckily for me, in smash 4, sonic is number 10, so it was a boost for me. But this guy has a point; pick a character you lik and know about
I don't totally understand the video because i'm not so much cool on English but.. my reasons for get a main wpuld be:
1.You have to know some dates about the character
2.Get fun playing with it
3,Learn to use it and practicing with friends for a few time (using it a lot of times ) and trying to know all his basic moves
and for a test of your game
4.Trying to do strategies as good as you play with friends now in For glory (where you'll find excellent players, pros, and a lot of campers, trappers, suiciders and all kind of players that makes you angry many times but you'll know if you're good player)
:D
I seem to have phases where I just swap mains for a little bit. Like recently I switched from Sheik, to ZSS, to Yoshi, to Greninja, and then finally back to Sheik again. I have no clue why I do this some times. My only thought is I decide to take a break from my main for a while to learn or improve other characters.
This really helps, I think I'm gonna co-main Sonic and Megaman
I main pit, I never cared about him before, I hated him in Brawl, but he just feels good to play and his end game quotes when he wins are the best. ''It's game over for you!'' just really is a free taunt that you can't avoid and I love it!
These videos are amazing dude, thank you :D
I have a couple mains. Sheik, ZSS, Luigi, Rosalina, Pikachu, Ness, Yoshi, Fox, Diddy, and Villager. I should probably pick up a few top tiers though.
I played Luigi, Pacman, Kirby, Pikachu, Little Mac, Ike, but Mario is the character that I feel the most confident with
I main Pit, but recently I've been switching it up with Jiggly, Palutena, Charizard, and Link if I feel like just plain having fun.
+Mirashade you're playing kinda rare characters i like that I usually never see any good jiggly's or Palutena's. I love playing yoshi he's (she) my main usually i love combos and that stuff but i also love being in the air. His groundgame is decent his tilts are weak and his throws are just bad .
+Mirashade Pit master race. May pit last forever
Lol I main Olimar. He's rarely, if not ever used online with few notable competitive Olimar mains so I am obligated to feel special.
But shit is he so light, His only weakness. ; - ;
+Mirashade
Any love for DP? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Ays Finnegan Olimar is so cool I've used him before
Thanks JoeKing, this is really helpful.
They could do a lot, like that spinning could have them attack while they're also moving. With up they could attack while jumping at the same time. With down they could attack from in front and behind. Normal B was a projectile so they could attack from a distance. Now that I think about it, maybe Fox is a little similar. Though I can't say I'm really interested in him as much. ;;
Mains are hard- Maybe I ought to just stick with Popo and Nana Miis. Miis are a godsent, but I wish Ice Climbers' fighting style could come back.
Love your vids man! Thanks for all the info
1:52
That's what I did with Dark Pit. Too bad he got shafted in Sm4sh.
Main (s)- Pikachu and Rosalina
Secondarys - Marth and Dark Pit
Pockets- Jigglypuff and Zelda
Working on my ZSS and Samus :)
I'm excited for this video!
My old main was Dark Pit but now I like Metaknight and Palutena.
Finally! A Greninja player! =)
+Soundwave The Deceptibrick Greninja forever! :)
I just ordered my greninja amiibo also :D
He fits my playstyle and I think he's probs the best character for me :P
(sakurai plz buff ddd needs more than 2 viable kill options)
My mains are Lucario, Meta Knight, and Zelda. I was always interested in the strange/underrated characters.
My mains are King DeDeDe, Donkey Kong, Ganondorf, and Bowser.
I call them Team King :]
My secondaries are Ness, Mario, Luigi, and Wario
So you play the popular guy, the fatties and Lucas? Kappa
Luigi isn't fat...
I count Luigi and Mario as one, so they're the popular guy. The whole comment was sarcastic though :p
***** Could've done that too..... darn, next time you make the comment
For the the third tip: where can I find a GOOD tier list?
There are pros to having a main but also a big con. Using the same character every battle eventually makes u predictable as a character itself and there can be bad matchups where ur main can't really do anything depending on who that main is. So it's always good to have 2 or more mains than just sticking to 1 character.
5 to 1 I main: pikachu, shulk, Mario, sheik, sonic/megaman. Love them all even though most of my characters are high/top tier but it really isn't that important because I love playing as them and want to git gud with them.
Well only pikachu, sheik, shulk, and mario I should practice. I already mastered sonic/megaman.
Spin dash into B, u throw into up b into u air and spin dash into up air isn't mastering Sonic
redstonelift did I say I master sonic by just spin dashing?
I love pika and sheik to!
Karate kool
i always liked falco because the first game i ever completed was star fox 64 and Falco was my favourite
Tried the demo before getting the full game; thought I'd be maining Link, but then I fell in love with how Lucario plays. Kinda funny since I used to hate it, but I guess I started to like it more after playing through B2. Just a shame I can't use Zoroark ;-;
My mains have Meta Knight and Rosalina but my secondaries are always changing but right now it is Diddy Kong
Along with a ton other characters I enjoy.
little Mac, Ganon, Cpt Falcon, and Ike. though right now I'm focusing more on Ganon and Falcon
Main: Captian Falcon (scrubby i know)
Secondary: Donkey Kong
Working on it: Meta Knight, Ryu, Toon Link, Little Mac.
Should Sonic be played aggressively or defensively? 6WX plays aggressive and Manny plays defensively.
whatever works for you. but just know if you play defensively people will talk crap. but in general 6wx has had more overall success. regarding evo, I argue static manny got for because of customs.
+evilmawile *far
+evilmawile I heard during the Manny vs FOW match at EVO that Manny doesn't like customs. Personally, I play an aggressive Sonic, but in the Top 5 Campy or something characters video, people in the comments complained about why Sonic wasn't on the list, so I wasn't sure which play style was best for the character.
My mains are Olimar, Jigglypuff and Little Mac at times. Working on Pikachu and Dr. Mario. Villager is becoming a main slowly.
I used to main dark pit. Now I main pikachu and bowser, mostly because I like the characters
I use Zero Suit Samus and Pikachu but I still experiment with all of the characters. I always used Pikachu ever since Melee.
My mains are Marth, Fox and Villager. But I play Sheik, Greninja and Olimar too.
I need help to pick a main. I like fast Aerials and some combos. I also like them to be pretty safe and have a good kill confirm
hey nice vid. could you do like a top 5 or top 3 best character to be on a team with for like the team battle. i don't know though it would be cool. any way cool vid, you do an amazing job with your video.
i think the playstyle tips are BS
2 of my mains are meta knight and bowser! what are the siilarities?
Link and Captain Falcon have always been my 2 mains in every Smash game. Even in Brawl where they were both garbage, I can say I'm really glad Link is finally a good character though
This is how I got my first main: The night before I got smash 4 I had a dream where I was playing against my friend as kirby.... When I got home I started playing smash and I played as kirby because I was playing with him in the dream..... So When I was playing kirby just felt right he was fun to use, I liked his speed and attacks and his multiple jumps. And almost every person that Has played smash with me mains kirby :)
The fighters I most use are Ryu, Luigi, and Mega Man
in brawl i been maining peach like a muthabeach but i like to experiment with samus link pit meta knight ness i have difficulty playing as dedede or dorf or dk cause i have difficulty landing a hit i find mario a little bit slow and his attacks don't do much damage again i think samus or zero suit maybe a high choice for me zero suit i find has greater agility if less weapons
I used to main Robin just because, idk, I guess I liked how he played :/ then I got Kid Icarus: Uprising, and completely dropped him for Pit. Yeah, I love everything about Pit, I think he's fun to play as, and I win with him. Main.
Mains: Little Mac, Kirby, DeDeDe
Secondaries: Ike, R.O.B, Greninja, Samus, Megaman, Robin
Working on it: Meta Knight, Captain Falcon, Bowser, Samus
My mains are Sonic, Jigglypuff, Ganandorf, Lucario, and Little Mac. Which should I focus on?
I meant Ganondorf.
I main Lucas in Brawl but in SSB4 I found Mr. Game & Watch and I fall in love! not the best but i love getting that 9, feels soon good
My mains are Bowser Jr, Little Mac and Pac Man.
I feel like their really overhated but I don't get why people really hate this trio. (I do understand why people hate Little Mac but I still love him.)
I mained Meta Knight in Brawl because of his personality and the fact I like Kirby games.
Lol sure
Same
I use to main captain falcon in the beginning of the game but I just dropped him, then since I like Luigi I decided to main him and then I found out he was top tier.
Main(s): Wario and Kirby
Secondary(s): Zelda and Lucas
WIP: Ryu, Olimar and G&W
Fromer Main(s): G&W, ZSS, R.O.B
Mains: Villager and Jigglypuff
Secondaries: Pac-Man, Rosalina, Kirby, Ness, and Shulk
For me i love (in any game) fast pace and mobile characters so i got into: Little Mac....Sonic.....and soon im gonna try out Sheik.
If the character doesn't have a spike, I don't like playing it, except jiggs. Spikes are nourishment for my soul.
I main Pikachu because he is really good in Sm4sh and I loved pokemon in my childhood (I main Marth in Melee)
my mains are falco, little mac, toon link, pikachu, and im starting to pick up charizard.
I somehow went from Lucina to Roy and Roy to cloud then cloud to Lucina (again) then from Lucina to Mario then from Mario to Ganon for fun and fox is currently my main how did I go through so many characters?
Do a video on how to warm up?
And again, if you stopped playing the game after that month ago, I apologize for this.
im trying to main Bayonetta since she has some really nice combos
I read pretty much the exact thing on smash boards did you write it?
I love yoshi, jigglypuff and megaman. I have always like sonic in all aspects but I suck using it.
Mains:Diddy Kong and Mario
Secondaries:Samus and Robin
Mains: Mega Man, Kirby
Secondaries: Pit/Dark Pit, Toon Link
Learning/Picking Back Up: Sonic, Peach, Marth/Lucina/Roy, Zero Suit Samus
+Hub Hikari (my opinion on that), Mega Man, Meh. Kirby, My third best character. Pit/Dark pit, pretty good. Toon Link glad to see someone else here that likes toon link, because to my surprise not a lot of people like him. Remember those were my thoughts.
+SwimmingSwampert People don't like Toon Link all that much because he's an incredibly difficult character to play as. He requires precise item management and you need to know how to limit your opponent's approach options. I like him though, he's one of my many sub mains.
+SwimmingSwampert I also have a Toon Link amiibo
Mains: Falcon, Shiek
Secondaries: Kirby, Luigi, Yoshi, Toon link and Bowser jr.
Game stronk, 3ds must be nerf :)
My mains: Lucas, Kirby, Yoshi, Mario, C. Falcon, Bowser, Pac-man, Mega Man etc.
Not sure why it's those characters considering they don't have a lot in common (i think)
Who would you say is your #1 main out of those
John MacLeod Lucas, despite being more a offensive player rather than a defensive one
Ike, Roy, Lucina, Mario, Ganondorf, Yoshi, Pikachu, my new one being Cloud... I wanna use Mewtwo and ZSS but she's too complicated for me, and Mewtwo's still floatly, but they're optional...
But my go tos are Ike, Roy, and Lucina...
my main is LITTLE MAC and IKE i know how to play about 30% of the charitors well but i like them the most
I win (sometimes) with Little Mac but I lose (a lot) with him, too. But I want to find a secondary main as well...
Maybe try Mario idk they're both melee attackers and Mario has decent combos
Pick a character you think is super cool and then get really good at them!
Thanks now I'm gonna try Greninja!
#Nerf
+That smash 4 random player I decided on Bowser😀
+Dashiell York Really bowser
Dinoboy7705 Gameplays! Why not? He survives almost everything, his combos are scary, and his edge guarding game is really good.
Yes my smash disk is broken now so yeah
Mah manes are Charizard and Luigi, i like Charizard alot and i've played all the Pokemon games so i've learnt the whole backstory thing but i mainly bring him to customs tourneys just because of how godly he is with customs, Weegee is my non-custom main, i like how Goofy he is and the sounds and expression he makes when battling are hilarious to me so it's really fun to play him i don't really like using all the top tier stuff though but Luigi has all the qualities i love so i play him anyway :)
I liked Fox, but then his Smash 4 happened and I can't play a match with him anymore without the volume off because his voice sounds so weird.
+Kenny Hine FIIIRE
Maybe you could mute your device, but that works
saaaame
Kayoyo H Mod the game and change his voice to the one from Melee.
Main: Mega Man
Secondary: Greninja
Pockets: Pit/Rosalina (torn between who to go with, Pit is much easier to use but I seek an answer to Sheik)
Remember people, don't try to "main" more than 3 characters. It will.... ruin you
***** You're never gonna get great with them all then.
True
Mains: Falcon, Shiek
Secondaries: Kirby, Luigi, Yoshi, Toon link and Bowser jr.
Game stronk, 3ds must be nerf :)
I main Pikachu, Jiggs, Roy, and Sheik. I casually play as falcon, lil mac, yoshi, and mario
