For simple shortcuts like `Command + 1` you don’t need a macro slot (which are limited). You can instead use the `ANY` key in the Special section and enter `G(KC_1)`, where `G()` is the shortform for `GUI` (which is `Win` on Windows and `Command` on macOS). There are also `C()` for `Control`, `A()` for `Alt/Option` and `S()` for `Shift`. They can also be chained like `G(A(C(S(KC_NO))))` for the Hyper modifier.

This is an important piece of info that I have been looking for. Thank you very much. Without this tip, using the layers with multiple macros is pretty much useless because you can only have 16. How is there no easy to reach site with this information is amazing. Much appreciating your help.
Idk why but it is taking me to the wired version through the link and I cannot find the wireless version anywhere or amazon for some reason. Is that intentional or there is no wireless version?

what version of via does this use ?
dude this makes no sense lol. I can't open via (just got this pad btw) and idk what file to get and no matter what I've tried I cannot get a re mapping to open anywhere with my apple studio. it turns on and works but I wanted to customize and I do not know how.
Anyone else have a problem where it is constantly disconnecting/reconnecting on Bluetooth? It was working flawlessly like a month ago.
When I load my .JSON file it does not look like your, I've tried all the option none work, any chance some has a link to the .JSON for the Triple Knob Wireless?

Do you know where to find the wireless version? Looks like there is only a wired option on Amazon and Drop.
I purchased this and have been having some issues with it in obs studio (windows). I attempt to set hotkeys for certain scenes. Now it works fine when the OBS window is in focus, but once I click out of OBS to open anther program or window it stops working completely. Not sure what the issue is exactly because when I utilize my 60% keyboard to set the key binds there is no issue at all. any advice? Ive already ran obs as admn, and also went to advanced settings and under hotkeys changed it to never disable hotkeys. ive been having a horrible time with this so any help would be appreciated.
I am in need of a simple macro keypad that I can configure with QMK. I believe that your excellent tutorials will allow me to configure a device. The megaladon is out of my price range at 80.00. Can you recommend less expensive choices that will allow me to use QMK to configure?
I really wanted this thing to work, but I had major issues. Maybe you can help. I purchased based on your video. I programmed 8 keys and ran out of space! Via shows that it only has like 700 bytes to hold macros. The macros I'm programming aren't that complicated (imaging pressing/holding P, then pressing 3 to 4 more keys, then releasing P). Not complicated. The 8 i programmed worked great, then it was full, only half way through layer 1! Then I couldn't figure out how to turn the BT on... Well, that's because the amazon version doesn't have it! Please help!
my only question is can I combine keystrokes? like my editing software uses ctrl+b to cut and then ctrl+x to delete Aswell as copy and paste so I don't have to map multiple keystrokes
Im looking for a wireless number pad with media controls for work. i think the Megalodon will work great. Its also future proof to where I can customize it to whatever id like when I dont need the number pad.

Hi great review. I was wondering if you could speak to the negative reviews this pad has received - specifically the Wireless version? Below are some of the main issues I've read about from the negative reviews users have provided for the wireless Doio Macro Pad:
--1) Auto-detect doesnt work in VIA software
--2) User must use firmware version 1.3.1 of VIA with no guarantee it will actually work
--3) no VIAL firmware is available fore the wireless pad
--4) Macros only support 4 keystrokes or less in wireless whereas the wired pad doesnt have this limitation
--5) The time out of the macropad is too quick and the user is unable to adjust/customize the sleep timer which causes the pad to go to sleep/turn off in too short of a time
--6) Inability to manually power off the macropad, so every button press can turn the device on. If you throw it into a bag, it will constantly be turning on and draining the battery
Can you tell me if these issues are present on the Wireless Doio Pad? Maybe you can do a review that touches on these aspects if the reviews are right or wrong? Would really appreciate your thoughts.

1, 2, and 3 = YES, there are definitely firmware issues ****depending on what model you get****.
They've addressed all of that in the help docs though (at least a little bit, I do wish they were more detailed--but it's there).
4 = first I've heard of this, and I haven't tested it yet. A question for their support, I'm afraid.
5 = It does time out rather quick, but it also "times in" insanely fast as well. There's no need to go on/off at all really. I haven't found this an issue at all.
6 = See above, but that is correct. It hasn't bothered me at all (and in fact I like it this way), BUT I can totally see your point about throwing it in the bag, etc. I do think they probably should've put a power button on there. Argh!
Is the big knob a large continues dial or does it use an absolute rotary encoder with a start and stop point?? I need this device with a programmable absolute rotary encoder knob.

I just got this delivered and the unit is very solid, keys feel great and the rotary encoders are very smooth. I’m looking to see what sort of automation ideas this might enable.
Were you able to get it working in VIA? I'm having issues with mine.
Yeah without any issues. I just plugged the USB cable to my Computer (Mac Mini) and went to the VIA website and it picked it up. I haven't tried it with my PC yet, but it should work there too. I heard that the earlier batches of this model needed to have their firmware updated for more seamless VIA compatibility. @@BrianKeats-c1y
