They just released a wireless version a few days ago! Your video was so well made and helped me decide that this was the right macropad for me. Thank you so much, you've definitely earned a sub! 😄
This guy is gonna get big
Agree
Ditto.
Not if he keeps his diet and check. If he eats pizzas and fried food then he’s going to get a real big real fast.
very underrated
Sounds like AI. I don’t think so
Your production quality and narration is absolutely top notch. Keep it up.
except i still dont see how its programmed
I don't have this particular one, but I tried using another competitor version. Pros: shortcuts and mapped keys are great. It reduces the amount of mouse clicking. Cons: It's just another device on your desk. Eventually in my experience, I went back to just plain old keyboard and mouse. You really have to be committed to using it and memorizing all the set keys in order for it to be a part of your workflow.
For me, I edit photos and the best shortcut I have are presets, one click and I'm off to the next set of photos.
For me as gamer who's always running like 8 of 10 keys short to bind to, this might just be game changing
absolutely underrated channel, was stunned to see this video didn't come from some big tech youtuber!!
I'll be sure to pick one of these up for myself too, thank you for this video :)
Would love a run through of your entire desk setup. You've got some cool stuff there!
I would love a video on all the ways to use a macro pad because for someone like me who is conpletely new to macro pads idk where to start plus it seems like something you can put together very nicely
I swear all the products you’re reviewing are ones I’ve been looking at. Thank you for the great content and overviews. Easy sub.
Great minds think alike. Welcome!!
Love it man, found your other video today by chance. I'm subbed, gonna see how you progress. I have a very similar WFH setup, and edit from home so I feel like I'm right in the demographic.
I appreciate the sub man. Thanks for coming along for the ride.
I’m so hooked. I dont even want one of these and I’m watching this video. Great work.
Just got the same DOIO macro pad month ago and I'd like to say it really gives me a boost in creative process. Love the wheels.
Hey mate I just got mine and it doesn’t work when I plug I into VIA
Amazing video quality, honest take on pros and cons, with tips and examples. Most of the videos in this genre just aim to sell something and come off as elitist and narcissistic but you feel more genuine and down to earth.
This channel and the videos are made so great keeps you intrigued and yet giving you great quality information and devices to daily use.
this is a great video...totally doesn't seem like a 200 subscriber channel video! quality is great! Keep up the good work and you got a new sub!
Found this channel today! Seriously can't wait for more!
What a great video, helps A LOT in the beginning.
Pretty swank looking!
One device that you might want to check out is the Huion KD100. I've been using it for the past couple months, and I've been blown away with how efficient it could be. It doesn't look as nice as this, the keys are only scissor switch, and it only has one dial, but it can be used wirelessly via USB receiver. I'm able to make different shortcuts for the various software I can use via the driver Huion uses. I haven't configured it in DaVinci Resolve and Audacity, but that dial it uses looks like it'll be useful there as well.
Man, the production quality of your videos is just insane! (and now I bought Spotify Thing + Macro pad ahah)
I definitely wanna see more macropad reviews from you! I've been considering like a 9-key one as a sort of low profile gaming peripheral to WASD and use a couple alternate keys. Not sure what to get tho!
Very clear and quality video man! Just stumbled upon your video and im for surely gonna stick around!
You, my friend, have just earned my subscription. Get sponsorships cuz I will support these awesome gadgets.
Just received the Megalodon 16 key pad. A little disappointed that it didn't come with a manual and the Doio website doesn't seem fleshed out. I really appreciate your video so I can learn more about my newest little gadget.
Hey mate. I’ve just got mine and VIA doesn’t recognise it. Did you have to flash yours?
Finally another cool video.
such a well made video. you deserve more subs and views
Overall reviews that he did is perfect showing the pros and cons. Not bias at all. this guy will gonna get big hopefully not his head keep it up I trust in you. 😎👍🏻
What a clean video and presentation. 🤯
Great video dude! Very engaging.
I've got Keychron V10 with extra 5 macro button and it's very useful. Copy, paste, select all, find, and alt+tab are now just one click button, just 5 button but bring more speed and happiness 😅. Macropad is my next investment for my desk setup.
The Megalodon's minimal and finished nicely w/ useful keys.
Here before this guy reaches 1 mil subs awesome content keep pushing more
the videos are sick man
great idea, can build it much cheaper but for productivity this product as a whole looks great and I believe the price is totatly worth it
I've never heard of a macro keyboard until today. Once I get a good setup, and some muscle memory, I think this will make programming CAD/CAM & NC way more fluid.
Nice video man! Insane quality for such a small channel, keep it up!
Could sou do a setup-tour video or sth like that? I would love to know what this pop-filter for the yeti mic is. I have been trying to find good accessories for it but havent been successful…
Great video, I have this on order with Drop and just waiting on mine to ship.
crazy good quality and entertaining came from you other video and had to watch this one too
Thanks for the support, and I'm thrilled to hear the content is entertaining. When you start something new it's difficult to predict how it will land. Cheers!
Very well made video mate.. Easiest subscribe button I’ve clicked since ages, keep it up!
Thanks for the support!
Bumped into your channel today. Excellent video content. My cluttered, disorganized desk will thank me for tuning in.
Damn, companies should pay you. You're a master sales man.
Nice detail, and quality video :) and a great desk setup! Where did you get the nice little tray in the back left corner of your desk, around 2:37 ?
Love this. Just got one in this week for premiere/davinci. How do you setup these macros?
It would be amazing to see another video where you break down how you set yours up, for those of us brand new to VIA.
Your channel is awesome. subbed and liked. looking forward for future content.
first macro pad I've seen that's actually worth the price.
This perfect to use on my mpc 2 software. It will make my MacBook work like a mpc .
Streamdeck can be priced similarly and actually shows you what you're about to push instead of you having to remember 120+ keys yourself.
Thank you a lot for this high quality review. I have a small desk and when painting digitally i always had to bend over in order to reach the keyboard. I just now got the Macropad and am really exited to see how smooth it will integrate in my workflow.
What i‘ve tried so far is working brilliant (basic windows shortcuts).
I‘ve seen people worrying about not being able to remember the keybinds, but once you used it a few times you should be able to do it blindly, as everyone also does type without looking at the keyboard, right?
While the macropad is very cool, what's got my attention is that beautiful monitor arm.
I've got a similar monitor - could you share what kind of arm you're using to hold it up? I've got one already but honestly it feels like it's barely able to hold the damn thing up so I've got it resting on some speakers as well to distribute the weight.
The "fanmade" VIAL firmware is much better. especially as it shows the knob and rotation direction.
Sadly its not mirrored, otherwise it would be great to use as a lefthanded macropad. [I know this from building my own 4x4 macropad with a RP2040]
Which has room for 10 layers, and over 50 macro's [tapdance, combokey's etc]
Only 1 min into video but the editing is great. Good cuts, and I like the "slideshow esque" transitions
hope you get a bunch of followers! from the channel name to the content it caught my eye right away great job!
I'm craving more videos! Cool Channel!
Great video ❤.
Nice video and supercool object
Dont forget that VIA writes directly to the board so it saves your macros even if youre using a different PC. VIA also doesnt run in the background and now has a web app so you dont need to install anything
Thanks for the info. I been looking everywhere for this, since my work required me to log in to multiple different computers that are company-controlled, so it important to be able to use the device the way I set it up without having to reinstall and reconfig the whole thing everytime. I was about to just give up searching and ask about it in this comment section. Thank again.
Thanks for the review I've been looking into this. I got the same mouse. What brand is that sliding wrist rest? Thanks
I may have missed it in the review or in the comments, but can the rotary encoder be used to scrub the timeline?
it can, it just stands in for pressing the left and right keys
I bought it, I love it.
Glad to hear it. I keep coming back to it after testing other devices. It's just rock solid.
love this channel
Awesome video 👍
I personally love my shuttle pro v2, it is less known but most powerfull than many macro keyboard
Wow this video is so so good
Awesome vid! What's that amazing mouse pad? I need to know
I just don't understand. How is it possible to have 150 subs and such quality content?
I got my hands on the Xencelabs Quick Keys, and I really like using it for video editing.
Thank you for the review! Could you please tell us more, about how you set up a knob to work as the scrubber in Premiere? I couldn't find any advice anywhere. Thank you!
Awesome video and 1M subscriber channel quality. Hope to get my production like this soon!
Is the large encoder smooth turning or notched? Great video btw.
Thank you for this!
What is the thing for the heel of your mouse hand?
I like your Glorious Coiled Cable in Arctic White :D
The Contour Design - Shuttle Pro and Shuttle Xpress are like this, but look nicer (too me). They are older, so compatibility might be iffy. I love these kind of devices because they can boost productivity/efficiency.
Mine just shipped and I cant wait to try it along my keyboard
Decided to get it in pink
Nice!! You're really going to like using it, and the pink looks super clean. I wanted to go yellow but played it safe haha.
I've been using a razer tartarus for years so the idea is good. I'd like one more vertical row of keys and some sort of space bar for thumb. That would get you ctrl shit esc on the left row, WASD the rest, and can add macros to that. That's the way I use the tartarus for everything
Subbed! Great content bro, getting a lot of inspiration for my own setup. Wanted to ask, are you able to swap out the keycaps for this?
Thanks man! Yes you absolutely can swap the key caps. I just didn't want to scare people away who are new to mechanical keyboards lol.
Good One was looking the other day for a Solution. Thank you @youtube for the Alogo.
Fine Content Quality. Can you tell me where to get this Keyboard Hand Rest ?
Please make a video about the stream deck for productivity, really interested on how you would use it since its really versatile
Nice device! What is the type of keycaps on your main keyboard by the way?
I use a tourbox, its highly customizable as well.
whats the Mic arm that you have? looks cool
I feel StreamDeck has the right idea with the little screens. I wish they would add Rotary encoders though.
The loupedeck is exactly that
@@benjaminmosnier Oh my god thank you so much. The price is insane but in comparison to this piece of crap with open source software its okay.
hahahaha best intro :D
A keyboard that uses VIA could have the spacebar programmed for spaceFn, which would access extra layers for macros without moving your left hand. But I get it, macro pads are pretty cool. Great video!
You are absolutely right. I was really going for "macropads 101" with this video. I appreciate the comment because I'm sure some people reading this will want get started with macros but not buy a dedicated macropad. Thanks for watching.
How does one accomplishes this?
@@UltraFarturas If you use VIA, go to layers and assign the space key to "space Fn"
@@justinoronos I didn't find it on VIA. There is no space Fn. Could my kb not be compatible?
@@UltraFarturas Yea, your keyboard probably isn't supported. True customs will most likely be qmk/via supported, but those from drop/glorious/razer will have propriety software.
gat video mate. Is there any chance you can share your wallpaper with s? it is phenomenal !!
Hi - Great video, can you please explain the macro for opening then minimising a program? I'm struggling with my macro just opening a new version of the program and can't get it to maximise/minimise after opening. thanks.
If you don’t need knobs and don’t mind the price, the Stream Deck is much more intuitive to get into because you don’t need to memorise what the buttons do in each preset.
You can also just get relegendable keycaps for the same effect (with a bit more effort)
steam deck only has so many keys i think, i have the model in the video and it has 4 layers so and each layer has 16 keys so its almost infinite
@@literallyjordan999 How does the layers work?
Stream Deck switches layout with the app you are using and it has folders and pages. But once you get to folders and pages it kind of goes against the benefits of a macro pad so I don’t use those.
@@cyrfung its like a switch u click and makes a different loadout which u can add new keys
Thanks for this video! I’ve seen a few of your reviews now and they’re very helpful. However I was wondering, out of the XENCELABS Quick Keys and Megalodon Macropad which one would you say is best for color grading?
My main goal with buying a control surface like this is to have a knob that can give me good tactile control over adjusting highlights/shadows/color wheels, etc. Do these control surfaces allow the knob to be used for that in Premiere?
I'd be curious to know how it works from the software side. I thought it might look like a second keyboard, but how do applications feel about getting input from more than one keyboard? Do they care? If they do care, then you'd to "inject" keypress messages from device 2 into device 1. This can happen at any point before the application receives the event. On first principle it's worth exploring the productivity gains macros themselves give you before buying a new piece of hardware. However in my experience specialized hardware definitely encourages different behavior so its probably still worth getting. This can also point you in the direction of an interesting category of software, which are the keyboard enhancers. These utilities give you "universal shortcuts" that work in any application that accepts text input - like Karibiner or to a lesser extent Hammerspoon (both macOS, I'm sure there are equivalents for the others).
Imagine if Macropad was integrated with Apple's Shortcut/Automation/Homekit, how useful this item would be.
I just bought this model and it came in but i was struggling eith the customization soo bad on via. Do you have a video how you do it or can you make one.
I love your video❤
Compare to tourbox elite which more expensive three times, which one you prefer to buy? megalodon macropad could totally replace tourbox? If not, why not?
Hi, what's your mapping for having effects applied with a macro? I see it searching in the effects panel, but I have no found a way to get it on the clip itself.
Can we set the knob into forward and reverse program when editing videos? Thanks
nice. Can this knob be dynamically used to control values in any levers like brightness, contrast within an app like Photoshop?
What is the mouse wrist support you use?
Love your channel - in your vid (6:10) it shows an ergonomic mechanical keyboard. Can you share a link?
Awesome setup and video! Can you share the json file with your macro setup? I'd love to get it working with Premier, but I don't know how...
Can you do a video on your keyboard and monitor set up? Great vid!
Thanks for the suggestion! I plan to do a video on this keyboard (the Nuphy Air 75) soon! It's one of my favorite keyboards I've owned.
I am interested in your keyboard around 4:30 and the clear rest. Where to get them?
Hi, I just buy Megaladon. But I really struggling setup on VIA. The knob setting with Macros is not working, like Zoom in out or scrubbing on the Premiere pro. Can you teach me how to setting it?
Does it have app specific profiles that change automatically when the app window is active?
