Came to say this. Was going to suggest testing it on a piece somewhere else first to make sure it's possible since I don't know much about resin pouring. Those layers really need to be removed if possible though. It really takes away from the final result.
Are you going to sand the outer surface? That will make the clarity of the underwater look much more vibrant and clear, I highly recommend wet-sanding the outward facing edge of the resin to be continuous and without molding lines. It looks amazing otherwise though!
The amount of patience and persistence to keep on working on this project is amazing. I have a hard time working on more than one mini a week. Here you are making a diorama that would barely fit on the dining room table with meticulous attention to detail. The whole project is very impressive and I can't wait to see it finished.
I’m making a fairy diorama/night light for my daughters birthday, thanks in no small part to the inspiration provided in your dioramas! Thanks for making awesome things!!
holy shit finally a sponsor that works for someone without a 3d printer XD i always felt left behind cuz theres so much cool stuff out there thats 3d print files only
Gosh this is so cool. I love that you don't just "phone in" the details like fish and plants. they look so good on their own, and they are set dressing for an amazing piece. I hope i get to see this at a convention someday.
I was hurt deep inside seeing that Manta get torn apart, but you're definitely making up for that sacrifice with each addition to this diorama. The Manta serves a great purpose in this magnificent display piece.
No money for basing stuff this month but that sponsor is for sure getting a bookmark for later. The diorama looks amazing. Can't wait to see it with the manta and everything.
Emil and team, guys.. I've been watching this channel for a long, long time and I am so impressed with how high quality your content has become. It was already up there when you started, but holy shit the production quality on these videos is so lovely.
Looking so awesome! So hyped to see what you do with the fire warrior and if their is a XV suit near by with parts robbed off of it or something. One if the coolest things i have ever watched come together and it being my favorite faction!
Love the sponsor this week. It's great to see companies that provide products for the high quality builds you provide. I have used them in the past and wondered if you would eventually find their amazing sculpts. 3d printing has opened up new customization that was unobtainable to the average hobbyist. Keep up the amazing work, it's nice to see this kind of progressive work instead of a start to finish approach for each video.
My absolut favorite Yotube Miniature Channel. Guys, give us more. This is so inspiring iam actually working on my Arachnarok Spider Diorama in Squidmar Stiles.
This Epic Basing sponsorship coming in clutch. The fact that you can buy STLs as well as printed bits.. Awesome. Definitely going to be picking up some stuff for my bases.
For the reads if you blob the top with black paint, eg using the lid of a pot of black paint to gently press down on the top, they look more like little bull rushes/reads
Thank you for sharing the process, looks amazing. Just a bit of insight perhaps for you to try in the future, instead of using a jigsaw you can use a steel ruler, score/scratch using a Stanley knife or blade on the acrylic where you want the cut. Place the acrylic on a table edge - the scored/scratched area on the edge of the table - pressing down on the floating side of the acrylic, this will cause the acrylic to snap off perfectly on the scored/scratched area. (Use it or not, great content.)
Amazing stuff! Especially love that Epic Basing sponsored you guys after you have already been using their products. Great endorsement! I just finished buying a bunch of preprinted urban ruble bits from them for my 40k bases!
I love this…. I just live all the attention to details and little things. You can look at this for hours already and sure to find something new. Keep going!!!!
One thing that would be a cool detail would be tally marks on the busted rhino to show how long the fire warrior has been there until eventually he stops counting
I'm in awe of this project. The amount of time it takes but also just the idea of how much there will be to explore when it is done. Are you planning on putting it on display when it's done?
Hi guys ! That legit one of the coolest project i saw on this plateform ! I don't have 5% of your talent but i wanted to tell you that, as the first pour bloked the access to the cave the level of water in the cave is too low and does not comply with Pascal's law (the level in the cave should be the same as in the pond). I love your channel ! Both you energy and your projects ! Keep it up !
Not necessarily, you have made a few assumptions to come to that conclusion. The cave could be a closed system - take an empty glass, turn it upside down and then submerge it into a basin of water… does it still find its level?
Omg... when I started watching this video I kinda knew how it would look like at the end but wow man it's so cool to see it actually done. I have never done anything whit Warhammer but you are making me concider it. Such a cool hobby. I would maybe recommend you to make one huge cave that would be located near a corner and you would have two openings to look at it if you still have space left. Leave the corner itself to be a pillar that holds the cave up. You could make it mines and it could be the reason why Imperium sent space marines to this planet but then they dug too deep or something. That would also give a reason why there is none of them left anymore on this planet. Anyway keep up the good work!
Thanks for the Epic Basing link. I went from not knowing about them to ordering some urban bits in 20 mins. Looking forward to making some urban bases for my Dark Angels.
Now that I think about it, despite the charm of the little Tau with is fishing rod, I imagine with their amazing eye sight, they'd be more suited to spear fishing. Kind of fits the whole east Asian aesthetic too.
@@galm7 What did I miss? How come only your comment. Where is the content provided by lilturtleboii? Please, I don't want any link. I just want the title and singer of this song.
Awesome work as always! Would have been cool to see the flooded rear cave in the reveals, as the two were linked so I presume its full of resin now? Oh well, just have to wait for the next video I guess :)
Your creativity and artistic talent is inspiring. I hope to one day even have 1% of the artistic ability that you have. Thank you for all of your videos.
Hey so what's the blueish gray resin you use for 3d printing? It looks like everyone everyone uses the exact same resin,or at least something with the same colour for stuff like promotional pictures of prints for their STLs. Really curious about what makes it special
You could have some UV lights built into the Manta that shine onto the lake to light up the uv paint!
that's such a good idea!
Brilliant
Still had a chance i think
I was thinking up LEDs would have been good underwater like under some rocks or something 😊
Great idea!!!
Don't forget to sand and polish the side of the resin cast to remove the layer lines a bit
Came to say this. Was going to suggest testing it on a piece somewhere else first to make sure it's possible since I don't know much about resin pouring. Those layers really need to be removed if possible though. It really takes away from the final result.
@@youtubevanced4900 yes you can sand and polish resin to get rid of the lines from the separate pours.
Came here to suggest the same. My guess is they want to build the most of the diorama and then polish the rough edges of it as a final step.
Are you going to sand the outer surface? That will make the clarity of the underwater look much more vibrant and clear, I highly recommend wet-sanding the outward facing edge of the resin to be continuous and without molding lines. It looks amazing otherwise though!
MASTERPIECE! I am loving this project. I thought it was too ambitious at the start, but you guys are really pulling it off.
Thx so much🥰🥰
OH MY GOSH that rainbow paintjob on the tyranid is absolutely amazing. I LOVE it

I know it will probably be the grand finale to pull it all together, but MAN I want to see them work on the manta
When this is done it needs some kind of virtual tour website, I wish I could see this thing IRL
I was hurt deep inside seeing that Manta get torn apart, but you're definitely making up for that sacrifice with each addition to this diorama. The Manta serves a great purpose in this magnificent display piece.
This was great! All those critters really create a sense of living space. A place forgotten by man but still thriving on it's own.
Thank you! 🔥🎸🔥
Your team continue to impress in a way that just leaves me speechless and in awe for the whole time.

This is pure art; the entire process is somewhat like Bob Ross for miniatures and dioramas; pure, soothing inspiration.

Thanks for the video. I ordered some urban basing bits for my next kill team.
Ridiculous how cool that Is
I love the mini videos of the small bits that go in, like the Tyranid montage and the reeds
It just keeps getting better and better! Awesome!
I really hope in the end there'll be either a manta playlist or a manta supervideo

I love the rainbow tyranid, reminds me of a mantis shrimp
Awesome. Keep up the good work.
Does anyone know the song that starts at 4:45? I can't seem to search it.
Once again you and your team blew everything out of the water, so to speak. Gorgeous work and I love the UV color touch.
This is coming along really well. A little overboard with the surface water foliage and scatter IMHO but I still love it.

so excited to see the end result ! What a gorgeous project !!
The "rainbow-magaunt" is unironically how I'd paint my Tyranids. That looks dope. I suggest we name it "rainbow slash" XD
I think it’s based off a mantis shrimp. It’s actually my profile picture and the theme of my nid army lol. i love them
It reminds me of how Emma Svensson paints her armies. Absolutely love the vibrancy.
Hive Fleet Peacock!
What you're doing with this is so cool Emil enjoyed every minute. Can't believe how my feelings changed from the start.. Inspiring
