Genuinely baffled by the amount of projects you have on the go. This year I've painted 3 Warriors, a shipping container and some chemical barrels. 😅 Love it.
Emil!!!!!!!! Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!1!@# Man, what an effort and absolute CRAZY amount of work that went into this. The final result is absolutely stunning and incredibly amazing. Not enough adjectives to describe this work of art... What a masterpiece to have at Squidmar HQ to really show off all the talent you guys have over there. The pinnacle of your time here on YT my man. Big grats to you all on this one.❤❤❤🏆
I love how you didn't take away much from the orginal, and just made it better and better and can still play it. It looks so good! Most fake trees look terrible but those ones with the variation in texture look so much more natural even on such a small scale! The sponsor is lucky to have you!
Team Squidmar: starts a huge diorama for the Manta Also Team Squidmar: makes a bunch of other awesome large scale dioramas *at the same time... do you guys have a portal to another dimension where the day has 98 hours?!
I remember when I first found this channel and it was the video where you didn’t think you could continue doing this even as a hobby and now it’s lively hood, it’s so awesome to see you grow.
How is this not literally the coolest project ever!? Minis nerds, pinball nerds, LotR nerds, artist nerds all eating good watching this! Love your channel, all of your amazing projects and the skills of all you are just insane!
right at the end where the real time crush happened I realized. All of this paining and modeling must have been edited into a video while stuff was drying and setting. It explains why there were so many sponsor segments in this video, that if they weren't happy there would be no time to fix it.
Amazing work as always, this was definitely begging for some LED integration into the Rivendell Diorama. I can even see possibilities here to trigger a mini fogger based on hitting certain things to really make it come alive.
Never thought miniatures and pinball machines could be combined, what a unique and creative way to extend our hobby. I build an arcade machine from scratch and looked into pinball machines for a next project and they are waaaay more challenging in terms of mechanics and electrics. Really impressive. Great Video!
I absolutely adore this machine. I remember when me and my brother went to the Pinball Museum in Seattle, we spent 6 hours on and off beating eachothers high scores, it's truly one of my favourite memories. You're a really lucky guy 😄
I think at that scale, plastic is probably more durable than resin tbh. I've had tons of breakage with my resin prints when some player wasn't careful enough with my minis at least.
@@Genesis19-26 Ah. You confused me because you said to cast them in resin. I didn't say they should 3d-print them, but a resin cast and a 3d resin print of a mini are basically the same thing and equally durable (or not). Encasing the minis in a block of resin might be possible, but would very likely just not look good.
@@rogthepirate4593 Fair, Ive done some work with putting minis into clear epoxy, the challenge is mostly trying to keep it entirely free of bubbles, its something thst requires a good deal of experimenting before you get a good end product -- Took about 2 months for me to be able to consistently nail it. Definitely not something to try if they only have 2 weeks to complete an entire pinball machine haha.
@@Genesis19-26 I think for solo pieces it would look different too, I can definitely imagine it. But I think especially with the distortion it'd probably look weird in the machine haha
That backbox diorama is beautiful, love all the little details. Afraid all those nicely painted miniatures are going to get absolutely destroyed when anyone plays this more than once.. lots of airballs and resulting busted plastics on LOTR machines!
What a great idea and very well executed. If there was anything that could be improved, it would be to add Elron and his daughter to Rivendell to bring the elven village to life.
this is why you're the biggest mini channel,,,, after games workshop, i guess ^^ a lot of different things. next up an Aquarium safe diorama of bioshock?
I always gotta admire people who post massive projects on youtube on timely scale without somehow burning out harder than those office workers who smash their computers.
What an amazing build! You guys do some great work, but this one really showcased your skills, especially Lucas with his backdrop. - That was worth a video in its own right.
If you're based in the US, pinball shows happen more often than you might expect... It's a good place to pick up parts, frames, and, occasionally, dead machines. The fields can be a bit of a pain to work on, but it's not as complicated a machine as you might expect. It's just big, and sort of awkward to handle some of the parts...
Seven months I've been working on my MCRN Donnager model for and these guys don't do one project of this size but three or was it four at last count. Either I am just slow or these guys are next level quick.
Man that's crazy. My ex from high school had this pinball machine in her parents basement. Her dad was a major LotR nerd, and also a huge pinball nerd and once he became a full doctor with expendable income this was his first personal purchase haha
Such an impressive build in such a short timeline. A suggestion for a brighter top is to print the sky on a transparency and spray glue it to the acrylic sheet. Best method would be a decal print but that's rather specialized. I used to work in the poker machine industry designing the backlit artwork.
Happy 3rd anniversary Squidmar! Your videos are beyond helpful and the work you do to give back to your fans is an inspiration. Keep up the work and here's to another 300 years! (Yes, not a typo, I want 297 more years at least)
Also, the joy you show throughout this video is amazing. It's easy to get focused on the end of a project and not enjoy the process. Glad to see this wasn't the case on this project, the child-like joy and wonder is palpable.
Looks amazing. Only thing is Rivendell looks super dark. Since you created a custom box it would be cool to update it with some LEDs to light the front more. I understand the time constraint with this. Still looks amazing. Kudos

Oh man, that turned out so good Emil! Well done to you and the team.
Lucas is legit a world class painter. The way he paints backdrops asbif it's easy is truly amazing to watch.
You guys are hands-down some of my favorite artists PERIOD! Can’t thank you guys enough for the content and inspiration!
Really good use of the focal space of the machine while still maintaining all the usability of the machine.

This was amazing. Would love to have had more B-Roll of the final. Nice video. Keep up the great work.
Easily my favourite ever video on this channel. Would love more LOTR content in the future.
Can really see how happy you were to do this project Emil 👍
Seriously epic work! I know the golden rule is never go back to a project, but Id love to see a Balrog replace that one in the middle.
Loved seeing your pinball video! The people in the pinball hobby would pay good money for your hand painted minitures!
You transformed an entertainment machine, into a marvelous piece of art. Great job.
I don't understand how you lads can be so talented. this looks so cool, keep up the awesome work
I love that pinball machine. A local pub had it, and earned about as much from it as with beer from our crew.
Awesome work.
Great video! I really hope that this wasn't the last time LotR is the main theme of the video
Middle-earth SBG is just the best Tabletop Game ever and I love to see some Minis on that channel!
i love all the collaboration support to get this done so quickly. well done all!

Great vid - I've got plans to do an Amon Hen diorama in the next few weeks so will take some inspo from this!
What a great result, too much to mention. The detail on the palantir is amazing. Love Lucas Ross' backdrop.
Very impressive! Even coming up with that idea... but actually doing it - wow!
One of my favorite games, and the only game that really got me interested in Pinball. It's a dream of mine to own one someday!
You have to add The Fellowship in the Rivendell diorama part!!! This is epic.
Incredible work and what an amazing team! Such a treat to watch you build this.
It looks so ... precious.
What a cool project. Well done guys, love the team work on this one! Happy pinballing :)
My goodness. The amount of talent you all possess is just astounding and mind blowing. 🤯
Love how you have evolved from the sponsor being a tacked on segment to integrated into the video and making sense for being there.
This is awesome that you were able to do this and pull off the tight timeline!!! Great work!
This is something I never thought I'd see. OMG
i remember playing on a jurassic park pinball machine when i was a kid with my dad, thats a nostalgia hit i didnt know i needed
It looks excellent, wish you guys had more time to cast the minis in clear resin as well, theyre so well done Id hate to see a pinball fly into one
I think at that scale, plastic is probably more durable than resin tbh. I've had tons of breakage with my resin prints when some player wasn't careful enough with my minis at least.
@@rogthepirate4593 I'm referring to epoxy resin, basically seal the figures the same way they did with the ones in the swamp, not 3D print new ones
