It's wild to me how undervalued miniature painters are. Artists in other mediums charge roughly $100 USD an hour while miniature painters charge $1.50-$7.00 USD an hour?
it's crazy how good some of these are for literally next to no payment

That just means there isn't a really big market for having your mini;s pained by someone else, a lot people interested in mini's are in it at least in part for the hobbying, so that already eliminates a bunch of people in an already niche market.
@beric0bartman what art medium and/or type of art collection isn't "niche" and instead "mainstream"? Sure, there's a small collection of those breakout artists in every medium, but in general, professional miniature painters are highly undervalued and generally aren't taken too seriously in the world of fine art. That has slowly been changing in the last few years, but we have a long way to go.
The dwarf on the plinth is such a clean paint job reminds me of GW box art minis very crisp!

For the most expensive that's a surprise
As we sent out 3d prints that are fragile. Them breaking in shipping is quite common. We just sucked at gluing it together, not the painters fault.
Damn i didnt notice that. It was a very fragile part and I was super carefull with the packaging. Sorry about that. On my instagram there are the pictures and that hand is ok. Sorry again

Honestly I guessed right away that the Ibai miniatures would be the best; just looking at the face and the eyes, plus the amazing pink metal; by far my favorite. I also guessed the 30 euro paintjob correctly, just because the face and feet weren't great, plus it had a bunch of dust on it.
All great painters though!
that one OSL dwarf though being great was the only i could see below 100 the rest was grossly underpriced, i really hope they give themselves better pricing since their incredible skill more than earned it

@@SquidmarMiniatures lol. As you guys sad, some of the painters are artificially lowering their prices. It's just fascinating how you guys describe the technique.
My era of Warhammer was 2010 but been loving this channel recently. Thinking about doing kill teams now haha
Cool video guys, love it when you show off some of the other amazing artists out there. You should do a video where you each paint the same mini a few times to the standards you would expect from a 30$, 50$, 100$, 200$ commission. Send them to a friend of the channel that also paints mini's and get them to guess who did which paint job and for how much. Keep up the cool content and I'm trying so hard to save the money for all 3 of your paint sets

I really need to work on my mini painting skills. I'm better at like 1/8 scale statues. I have such a hard time painting the tiny detail on my warhammer and dnd minis. Just don't have steady enough hands.

Blows my mind that there's an 8x difference between cheapest and most expensive. There is absolutely not an 8x quality difference. Some artists on Fiverr are definitely undercharging.
I'm maybe even more mind blown of the difference between 50 and 250. The 50 one is underselling like crazy

Based on this video series, i contacted a commission painter. They showed real skills and they are local to me....
And it was crap. The price was far higher than the one in your video and the quality of the paintjob was sub par at best

Ive seen a lot of painters get super busy after being part of our videos. Meaning they probably increase the price due to demand. As for the quality. Well that suck 😔
