Maz 93 yesh that’s the way to go here. This tutorial is fake and the app is a scam. Everyone buy Amped Wireless sr10000 instead. Really good range and reception, it picks up a hotspot 500 ft away and repeats it all the way down the street.

Depending on your device, now, but the vast vast majority actually can do this with just wifi hotspot built-in.
It needs wifi direct, so they have two wifi cards. But most devices already have both cards.
You may need to enable "coverage extension" in developer options. Android hotspot sets its proxy automatically too.

To all wondering yes it does work on Nintendo switch just go into Internet settings and turn on proxy settings then change it to whatever settings it says to

You must update your computer regularly or you get put into remediation. Even when you rescan and try to get out it doesnt work and no one is available on weekends.

Nowadays most phone already have the option to share wifi, I have an S8 and in the Hotspot setting you can enable share wifi and it will share the wifi you are connected to

the problem that if you disconnect from wifi then try ro reconnect it will stuck on (obtaining ip address) then you have to open the mobile and the app from the repeater mobile so it can connect again..i tried static ip thing but i'm failing

I have used this application in past for the same purpose(repeater). But main problem is that only HTTP and HTTPs protocol services work. And sadly whatsapp, skype, etc wont work so i stopped using it. I cant find any solution to get whatsapp working, if you find then tell me.... and what was that BeeBom wifi ???

I tried TetherFi, but while Android showed that the PC was connected to its hotspot, the PC couldn't go on the net... going to try NetShare - no-root-tethering!
Any thoughts if I add a bluetooth dongle to my PC, could I share the wifi/mobile from the Android to Windows?
What about casting your phone to Windows? Under Windows Display settings, I added the feature "Wireless Display" and always allowed "Projecting to this PC", but none of the sketchy android apps I tried worked at finding/casting to the laptop!

Good but it's built in on Lg G5 and Lg V20. Just long press on hotspot icon than check the box : the share thru wifi . I don't know for other lg phone (g6, v20)

I was able to get this working with windows and Linux. I can even get system updates on both. I was also able to run steam and through a phone side VPN... Thank you! This is a great way to bypass your carrier's hotspot restriction, but it only works at 5ghz. Older devices won't be able to connect to it without a newer wireless adapter.
