Great advice! As a 50+ with no airline experience I didn't get past the resume round for the other three airlines I applied for but kept trying and landed at an airline that is a good fit for me and I love. If you're new to the airline industry it is a learning curve, but currently in love with my "post retirement" career and it's benefits!
i got hire by delta but during first day of training i decided that it wasn't cost effect to continue with it. the cost of commute to work did make sense for what i was suppose to get paid. u really have to make those types of decisions.
I agree with you. A cost analysis is key. If it doesn’t make sense financially, and time wise, it may not be worth it. However, if you can stick with it and supplement your income somehow, there may be a way to have the best of both worlds.
I just had an interview with Alaska csa at John Wayne. I am fully available I told them and my kids are older no need a babysitter. And I did tell them I do work for Disney but I will put Alaska my priority first and Disney works around me. Now I waiting for a email to see if I get it.
Oh my goodness! I hope you get it! Airlines Love working with people that worked for Disney. That means that you are very well trained in customer service. I hope you get it! Let me know what happens.
I would like you to do a video that explores ways to find an airline that is a good fit. Can you talk to current employees? What warning signs to look for. How to find out about their employment contract and policies.
Hello! Thanks for the great advise. How long does the process typically take? I'm retiring in 5 months from my current career and I'm looking for a new adventure in the airlines. Do you think i would be applying too soon?
Yeah, I think it’s too early. Because you never know. I’ve had instances where I had to start within five days and I’ve had instances where it was like 5 to 6 months. I don’t want you to get hired and then all of a sudden say you can’t start and then they will pass on you. Congrats on your retirement. You’re gonna be in a good position.
I’m about to have an interview for a customer service agent role, just wanted to ask, is it stressful? and I wanted to know what to expect when working in that role.
Congrats on your interview! Day to day, it’s not stressful at all. The only time it’s stressful is when like you have to tell everyone their flight is canceled or delayed and you have to rebook angry passengers. But when you have a good crew, and you have support with one another, it’s not a big deal.
Hey hope all is well. Really enjoy your videos and have a question. So I currently work for American. However, I just got hired by United on the Ramp. United is closer to home but it sucks because I have 4 years of seniority. I can't do the commute anymore. What would you do. Would appreciate your feedback. :)
Congratulations! Well, I think you just answered your question. You said you can’t do the commute anymore so I guess that means United. 🤣 losing seniority sucks so much. I totally get it. But, thank goodness you’re only four years in and you can start again if you think this would improve your quality of life. I am definitely a proponent of doing what works for your life and not staying in a situation that doesn’t benefit you anymore. Let me know what you decide! Congratulations again.
Thank you for great advice. Question: is CSA a good position and which airline is best to work for I applied to AA, United, Delta. Also which one has best benefits for longtime.
All three would be good. As long as it’s mainline, you could probably make it work. I enjoy my current airline a lot. United is good as well. AA has great flight benefits because they go according to check in time and not seniority. Everyone has a different preferences. Good luck!!
That's actually what I'd like to know too. I'm undecided between AA & Alaska currently. With Alaska having its hub here in Seattle, they have a much bigger presence at SEA but I'd like to ask your opinion between the two airlines as a CSA.
Hello! I have a question I was sent a email saying “congrats you’ve been selected as the manager’s primary candidate for csa” do you know exactly what this mean? As far as an MPC
Hello! I had that before with AA in the same role. It’s like your next in line for that position if a spot opens up for you (for whatever reason) in the next 6 months. They will immediately offer you the position point blank without interviewing again. It took maybe a month before they reached out and asked me if I wanted the job.
No, not at all! You do what you feel comfortable doing. I would probably choose UA. But that’s just me. Because I love the international locations and it seems kind of stable. JetBlue on the other hand did that spirit take over so you don’t know how it’s going to be in the next few years. But go with your gut and with your pros and cons. Plz let me know what you choose!!

I started watching your channel when I was in the application process and I recently just made it through probation. I’m grateful for your content.
Congratulations!!!! Thank you so much!
I remember I applied three times for American lol and the third time was when I got the job you just have to keep trying 😅
Exactly!!!! Congratulations!!

@TheBohemianTraveler gotcha, thanks for the advice, all the best to you!
Great advice.
Thank you!
I start training with American Airlines on March 20th. What American Airline would you say is the best one you’ve worked for so far?
Congratulations!!! That’s awesome!!!
I really like Delta. I love American’s flight benefits.
@@TheBohemianTraveler We do it by check in time. I don’t like flying ZED on Delta as you can’t tell the accurate seats being open.
Is that the one stop shop event? If not, what is that and what do they do during that event?
It’s called Go wild for planners. They have speakers and crafting sessions. It was a lot of fun this year.
@TheBohemianTraveler what are the steps after your on the phone or video interview?
@@SHAWTYREAL26 generally, it’s a face-to-face interview next.
@@TheBohemianTraveler so it's one interview to bring you in person for another interview? Should you dress up? Or what should you bring?

You're coming to my city Washington DC DCA or BWI?
Good morning i say from Japan I saw your channel I liked it Good luck stay with God 🙏
Thank you! I love Japan. I definitely I’m going to go back this year.
I went to DCA. I have never been there. I always go into IAD. I loved it. Your city is literally my favorite place.
What’s your thought on alaska airlines?
They were next to us in the terminal and they seem to really enjoy their job.
