one of the main things that the full bridge design (aka H bridge) eliminates is the need for a negative voltage rail since the operation of the PWM of the H bridge basically constantly flips the polarity of the modulated square wave across the output filter and speaker, this simplifies power supply design mainly, nothing new, it's just has a bit more complicated PWM and requires more FETs
3 yrs ago i bought my first sundown setup and it was like yep im hooked! My SFB 2k is powered back up because i bought two U.6.5's!!!! And i want two more!!! The performance while retaining trunk space is sick!!!
The topology of these amplifiers only share the full bridge, in what they differ the most is in the type of rail they use, sundown uses a double rail, eg:+ - 70v and the Brazilian amps use a single rail, that is, a 160v rail, What if they seem to share is the use of a control chip that is in charge of source oscillation and amplification oscillation. In addition, they share the high frequency of oscillation in the amplification phase and this is what makes both amplifiers so efficient.
What I wanna know is if running below 14.4v, say hitting 12v bad for these amps? I see the dual runs to the amp and I know not everyone is gonna be able to do dual runs or keep up with 14.4
I ordered a 1500 watt sundown amp I had it for 3 plus months I installed it yesterday I hook thr power, ground and remote wire. It went straight into clip light with no subs hooked up... I emailed the company already to see what to do
I see this question still has not been answered, I will ask it again. Compared to other full bridge amplifiers, at what rca input voltage do these perform their best at? Many other brands with this similar topology have been proven to clamp more power at 2v rca input voltage vs running it higher than that. I've tried giving my sfb 8000 around 2v or so and as well around 4.5-5v, using the 80prs as the source unit. I haven't noticed much difference, but I also have not done enough testing to justify at which voltage the amplifier prefers. I'd greatly appreciate input on this topic, as many of us who are running this line of amplifiers probably have the same question. Thanks

You ever figure it out? On mine I just set both to the lowest setting. Low pass starts at 80hz according to the printing on the amp and the high pass starts at 15hz. So that drops anything below 15hz and above 80hz which is right in the range I want for my SA 12v2. How do the crossovers work since there is a low pass and high pass but no switch to turn either on/off on the mono amps? I assume it works like a band pass crossover? Crank your high pass all the way down or to be your subsonic filter level and then crank the low pass to the high end of what you want to play your subs at?

and a full bridge design could technically push the same current as the SCV line's half bridge with the correct selection of FETs, i have noticed that the SFB uses the smaller TO-220 style FETs in the power supply rather than the bigger TO-247s like the output section uses, which I find interesting, the SCV line uses all TO-247 style... this may be part of why the amp shows high power at higher ohms, but hits a limit on power as you lower the impedance, as the power supply's rails collapse as more current is drawn from the amplifier section.... which isn't necessarily a bad thing as that allows more power as the impedance rises during play

I had an SFB2000.1 and the remote knob had “Bass Gain” printed on it, but I switched for the 5k version and the remote for it has “Bass Level” printed on it. I had the sk1500.1 and I ran that amp at 0.5 ohms and it took it like a champ. Pushed my 15 zvx pretty hard and sound quality was actually pretty good at such a low ohm load. Did get a little warm but then again it was at full tilt and it was efficient at 1 ohm and half ohm all day long. So Korean amps are just built better all around vs a full bridges and full bridge cant run under 1 ohm and the sound quality starts to really y suffer once you go below 2 ohms so it's more of a preference because the sfb 2k can run highs, mids and subs so there is an advantage when it comes to full bridge amps. Just my 2 cents though.

What frequency you tune at and would they be able to produce the power between lowmid to highs
Serious question what's the power ratings on the 200X4? Is it 100 at 4 ohm per channel? 400X2 bridged? Also why is DOWN4SOUND showing them available already?
I just blew a 1 of my 2 sa v2 18s with my sfb5000d . Now it’s stuck on clip. Can I turn that off some how or is it broke for good?
Just bought a sfb-2000d from a guy, the clip light flashes 10xs then all 3 lights come on for a second then back to flashing (rinse/repeat).. Help?
There is really no reason at all to not be rocking sundown audio now. Quality and affordability!
Unless of course you don't want to support a corrupt government that has imprisoned over a million of it's citizens.
MSH68 a huh
Which a better 1500.1 the SAEv3 or SFB?
Do you have to use both grounds and positives to power it?
What would the tune look like on the sfb 1500d if I'm running 2 Sundown Audio SA-12 D4 Classics at 1500 rms?
How much can I turn the gain up on the amp because I was told if my clip light comes on it will be fine considering the amp?
Do you have to use both power inputs?
Will there be a clip light bass knob comming out? Because the 3k didn't come with one
Got an extra for sale sell buddy..
Ok it's been like a year now so what's the deal on reliability? Do alot of these come back? Could I get away with 4 gauge wire for 17' and 2 ohm load?
hey I have a sfb 1000d and my clip light stays on and I'm also not getting any output to the subs now. any recommendations?
Hey if I just run 1 sub woofer do I just hook it up to one of the outputs or hook it up like a normal bridge?
What's up guy, I have a sundown audio sfb 3000D. My bass adjust makes noises when I adjust for more bass so I bought another one to replace. I hooked the new one up and now my amp is locked up in protection mode. Please please please help me!
I would like to see a demo with Neo Pro 8s. I have not found any videos with these amps running in high pass yet.
My friend i have subwoofer sundown x15 v3 1-ohm what amplifier buy for it??
I have two 15inch hippo massive subs which sundown amp will push them
How is the sound quality korean vs fullbridge.
@@RomaVilla taramps is same full bridge, but can handle below 1 ohm hahaha not full bridge design are the same at all, taramps bass line also can handle up to 17v, taramps and soundigital are the best full bridge design
What would happen if you put something like a 4 gauge wire on them type of amplifiers
My Sfb3000 is putting out DC to my sub Sub stays pushed out I open them up and I don't see anything burnt or anything what do I need to change in the amp so I could tell the repair shop
Sundown Sfb 3000 vs taramps hd3000 . What amp has the lowest current draw?
Good question. I wanted to know the same.. probably similar but I'm probably gonna go with sundown because the taramps have a bad rap sheet of taking a shit if voltage gets too low.... plus you get the 2 year warranty with sundown.
@@californiajack1244 cool thanks for letting me know about the warranty.👍
Are these SFB's full range? Can I run mids and highs with them?
That’s what I want to know also
Do i have to buy a rca splitter for this
My sfb 1500 burnt the output side and went into protective mode I’m running 4 6.5 subs could u let me know what went wrong?
Two 12" Zv5 D1 1ohm subs on an SFB-8000D at 1ohm or a SFB-13500D at 1ohm? Think the SFB-13500D is too much?
I think my rca on my sae 3000.1d went bad... would this be a better amplifier?
can you do a video with a spec box tuned to 34hrz ported vs a pre fab ported box
Does anyone know if there is somewhere I can send one of this amplifiers to get it repaired?
Ok my local shop pared that amp to a mojo mini 8 . The clip light stay lighting up is it the sub cant handle it or is the amp to small
Can the sfb1000.4 have enough power to push 4 rcf 10 inch 700rms midrange at 8 ohms each
DEREK Question... i just purchased the SFB 1000 and i want a matching amp. Will the SFB 200.4 work good with Focal Es165 K2 components? I have 2 sets. Or should i wait to save for the SAE 100.4?
Can I run one those on 2 Sa 15s d4 or would it be overkill? I'm running the sae 2000d on them now in a qbomb ported box.
do the SFB amps smash the lows or sound as good on subs like the SCV or SAEs?
Mr. GlobberSS they virtually sound the same
I bought 2 of these amp can you explain nto me how I would be able to wire these together or can I even wire them together lmk please
If I have a northstar 190 battery, stock alt 170 , 1/0 big 3 , you think I can run an 5k ?
