Chuck…I just made a cup of tea combining black and green teas, and thank you so much! I love it! I like it so much better than green tea alone. I also ordered some matcha green tea powder for my smoothies and I’m going to order ground flax seed later today. I have a paternal grandmother and aunt who both died of breast cancer in their 40’s and there is colon cancer, thyroid cancer, and lymphoma on the maternal side, so I’m anxious to do all I can to stay as healthy as possible. I’ve recently transitioned to WFPB eating, and I know even at 75, it can do so much for the rest of my hopefully long and healthy years! Louise J.

Wish I had a dime for every time I’ve posted this on a vegan show 🤦🏻‍♀️ we need to tell the WHOLE STORY when it comes to B12 and Omega 3!! Many meat eaters are low or deficient as well! I think it’s like 40%. The livestock today are not happily eating grass and getting a bit of dirt and B12 along with it! They are in CAFO operations fed gmo corn and soy AND supplemented with B12! Not to mention it’s been repeatedly shown ALL people over 50 can’t assimilate it as well and NEED to supplement! It’s not just vegans by any stretch 🤦🏻‍♀️ As for Omega 3s, fish don’t make it!! They get it from algae or fish that ate algae!!! These days most fish we eat are farmed and deficient themselves! They are supplemented. Oh and the salmon get food coloring in their feed so they have that 🍣 color! Take a damn algae based supplement. Don’t spread incorrect information about a healthy whole food plant based diet!! A diet heavy in animal products is INHERENTLY deficient in so many vitamins, minerals and other phytonutrients!! 👌🏼 🌱 💪

    • @extropiantranshuman

@@HH-gn9qt I actually don't believe we need conversions to DHA as much as you say - because ALA actually has pretty much the same effects as DHA. Fishes are also eating microplastic and heavy toxic elements.. which can accumulate and when eat ...it can get biologically magnified as result of biomagnification and 10 percent law..
Also..fish industry is devastating to the environment...

Amla has shown to have the highest antioxidant content of the several thousand foods tested as was mentioned in the podcast. However, there is an Ayurvedic formulation, called Triphala (which means “three fruits” in Sanskrit), that has found to have even higher antioxidant content as per Nutrition Facts Organizations. The Triphala formulation contains these three fruits; Amla, Bibhitaki and Haritaki. So a formulation containing Amla has higher antioxidant content than Amla alone. No reason given by Nutrition Facts organization. But I heard that it is the fruit Haritaki, which is responsible for higher anti-oxidation power of the combo. That means that Haritaki has even higher antioxidant content than Amla. It is possible that in the thousands of compounds measured for antioxidant content, Haritaki was not included.
