Depending on who you ask, you either get Vikemon (who most associate more with Gomamon) or ClavisAngemon, who looks like a good fit, but is a natural X-Antibody carrier with very vague association with Shakkoumon apart from a visual resemblance, which complicates matters.
I did not know that about Bryce Papenbrook's father. I am a huge fan of his work, and knowing he's taking over a role that his dad did is so heartwarming. I got the news about the movies on my birthday, and it filled my heart with joy! I love the Digimon Movie collab, seeing it again remastered along with the original three now being dubbed, along with some returning voice actors is one of the best gifts I could ask for!
I just hope they give the same level of care when the time for Tamers come. I'm happy with my 3D printed D2 replica. It took a ton of sawing the internal electronics from the original toy but remains functional, and even used the Li-Ion battery from a Vital Bracelet I don't use to avoid buying batteries.
Izzy would be proud of all that. Granted if he made it the thing would digivolve actual digimon and open digigates but hed still be proud of the one you made. Lol Thats cool af.
I very glad that the first three Digimon movies are going to have new English dubs. But I still wish the original Japanese version of Digimon Adventure 01/1999 would also have an English dub.

I cannot express how grateful I am to Discotek as having the original Japanese Digimon Adventure on dvd has been a dream for me, but now the three unedited films and unedited Adventure 02 releasing statewide as well? Yeah I'm seriously blown away by the returning actors. And that they managed to navigating all the licensing questions with Toei, Fox Kids, all the bands involved in the soundtrack etc!
What's actually bad-ass, DigiKnow, is that Discotek had to actually FIX the old English masters for Digimon 02's dub because they were not in the best of shape and so, Discotek literally used the new HD transfers of the Japanese 02 to fix what was broken for the new sets. That is INSANE, and I love it.
@TheDigiKnow I was at Otakon 2023 when they announced and premiered the new dubs of the movies. The new dubs do a better job at translating the Japanese script while retaining humorous and iconic lines from the Fox English dub. All of the new and old voice actors did an amazing job in their roles. Tai's mom still wins as the best character in the movie series.
It is so good to be a Digimon fan! I’m looking forward to the new re-dubbed Films! The original Digidestined, the tamers, Frontier Kids and DATS Agents will always have a special place in my heart! I hope the future of Digimon will always look bright and continue to thrive no matter how many reboots and new series are made so on

Also, having SPECIFICALLY Virus Metalgreymon in that keychain design, specifically in January, with Tokyo Gameshow coming up next month and us hearing MULTIPLE Digimon games were in the works back in February, right when Bandai did a Twitter poll asking about demand for some new project involving the OG world trilogy? Those things fit together REEEEAALLY snugly. I'm almost 100% certain we'll get one, if not multiple, Digimon games announced next month, and having those classic Digivices with SPECIFICALLY Virus Metalgreymon feels like it would tie in to a World re-release near perfectly.
Oh man, I can't wait to get my hands on that Digmon movie set! For the longest time I had contemplated importing the blu rays from Japan, but thrilled to hear that it'll be easier access in the near future to have the uncut versions of those spliced movies!
regarding the armor evolution: It is wild to me that the never expandet on the concept. It would be easy to do something close to Frontier, combining two eggs/armors. It was a wasted chance to not combining the DNA digivolution with two armor eggs to let the Partners go to Mega-level. I don't see a reason only Roockies can use the armor evolution.
In regards to the uncut dub announcement... To say I ended up doing a flawless imitation of the Foaming Mouth Guy from "Avatar the Last Airbender" would be the tip of the iceberg.
Armor evolution or not I would rather see veemon, hawkmon, armadillomon and wormmon get thier actual ultimate and mega evolutions bc they do look pretty good and haven't been seen b4
All the movie announcements were insane to see come within 24 hours of each other. Just knowing we’re getting such a cool dub project for the original films *and* that the new 02 film looks as good as it does is like a dream come true. 🙏
Also, this is why all the “Digimon is dead” peeps had no idea what they were talking about lmao. A big film like the Beginning is a significantly more important project for Toei than a Ghost Game 2 or any other ongoing TV anime.

So much good news this week but I'm most excited for the Digimon Movies collection. I never had an original release of the movie. And that's so cool about all the voice actors. The passing the torch from father to son was incredibly touching and I wasn't aware of that so thank you.
As much as I like the armor forms, I’d rather have mega forms for Hawkmon/Silphymon and Armadillomon/shakkoumon. Other than that, I’m looking forward to this movie. This looks like the same team that made Last Evolution (which was great!), so I trust they know what they’re doing. Also looking forward to the blu ray collection!
I hope after 20 YEARS we can get closer about TK and Kari. We were teased a bit in Tri and Last Evolution but I’m still waiting for something more concrete.

This was a nice update. I knew about most of this mews but it was refreshing seeing it again. I’m really enjoying this new resurgence from the Digimon franchise that has been happening. The new movie with the 02 gang looks so good! I hope we don’t have to wait too long before an eventual U.S. release. I’m also really looking forward to the upcoming remastered HD release of season 02 with Japanese voices and English subs. I’ve always wanted to watch it in its original glory.
I don't really know if all these are goods news. I mean, yes, something about 02 cast had to be told but at the same time 02 is a very divisive serie with dozens of inner flaws and pointless minor or major points, so I will be cautious about this movie. People will probably hate me but I feel it was 02 that started to ruin Adventure, if anything else from Tamers aired after I fear Digimon would have entirely collapsed. Not to mention how Digimon Adventure Tri was... flawed, very much... Feeling mostly like a nostalgia cashgrab rather than a new product. I still feel it is time to let Adventure be and stop writing products who just pry on nostalgia, still I am very skeptical about this movie starring 02's very "questionable" cast.

A remaster of Digimon: The Movie is a literal dream come true for me. I always want to show it to my friends when I'm trying to get them into Digimon, but my DVD has scratches after so many years of use, so I can't give it the justice it deserves.
Great time to be a digimon fan, for me personally my only wish would be to someday see digimon hunters dubbed in portuguese. Other than that, let's keep this train rolling and hopefully we can get another great digimon story game someday!

Y'know, going back to the original Adventure... the bonds between Digimon and humans were always manufactured. They *are* Chosen Children. We got a whole lore dump that their partners and Digivices were prepared ahead of time specifically for them. From what I've gathered in the trailers so far, Rui met Ukkomon and made a wish that everyone could have a Digimon partner, which maybe is being granted during this movie judging by the giant egg and everyone's screens displaying his wish. The only way for Rui to be the age he is at this time and be the first person to partner with a Digimon is via time travel, as Oikawa had a partner as early as the '70s.
Thank you for continuing to make great Digimon content. Glad to know there are die hard fans out there still. I hope they continue with creating more new movies for every Digimon season and connect them all.
When I saw Josh's twitter announcment awhile back. I got mega hyped to see it myself being announced by Tai himself. As a digimon fan who loved the og movie back in the 2000's. I can't wait to revisit this movie again a decade later. Especially with most of the og cast reuniting for it to dub for us. I am so hyped.
Im looking forward to the movie remasters. Hope the do it for all the other digimon movies. I personally loved Digimon x evolution and would buy it in a heart beat if it was redone.
All news are fantastic and I'm thrilled 02 is getting so much! My favorite of these news has to be the movies being remastered and getting dubbed. Though if I'm being honest, I really wish they would have included a remastered Mexican/Latin American dub since I'm from South America and I grew up with the dub provided by Mexican dub actors. Regardless, I'm happy the original Japanese cast is still in these films😄 I'm one of those fans who laments the exclusion of the Angela Anaconda short film😆 All in all, great news👍
I'm pretty new to the series, but I've got to say this was a really good week for the series. I'm definitely getting the Digimon the Movie set for both the original dub and the redubs. I'm also looking forward to the 02 movie even though I've still got to watch through that series.
fyi about Digimon voice actors: Japanese voice actor for Taichi and Sora already passed away quite long time ago, it was sad still, also Kouji Wada, the Butter-Fly man was passing away before them so hearing there are English dubber of Digimon that also passed away kinda sad, I wanna hear how’s the condition of the other countries Digimon dubber, like French Voice Actors, Latin American ones, the Indonesian ones, et cetera
I absolutely agree about not getting to see armor evolutions again, especially since these digimon are decedentants of those ancient digimon and are capable to armor digivolve, so it really bothers me that such a unique characteristic is somewhat shoved in the corner of obscurity for these guys.
I think what would really put the icing on the cake for this is to make a limited theatrical release of the new redubbed Digimon movie through Fathom Events. That would not only be absolutely wild, but would also be a great opportunity to let potential new fans of Digimon get nicely introduced into the franchise.
Love your channel so much. I feel like I'm chilling with my best friend in 1999 dreaming about the digital world everytime you drop a video. Authenticity is a rare thing in this financial homogenized RUclips world so its refreshing to see a love letter channel.
Since this is a new 02 movie, I expect there will be a new evolution introduced in the film. I'm guessing Davis's Veemon will get a new mega form. Also, if this movie does introduce time travel, I wonder if Yggdrasil will be finally introduced in the adventure story, since the royal knights are now canon. I also hope Ryo will be mentioned in the new movie, since he was the first Digidestined Ken met in the digital world, and according to the digimon games, Ryo was supposedly Veemon's first human partner.
The news of the movie collection is unbelievable, I'm sincerely so excited. I'm just hoping the japanese version included will maintain the original soundtrack and not the one from the western adaptation but I'm already so grateful that someone is going to release the somehow faithful adaptations of the first three movies
I absolutely loved the digimon movie. I'm so glad they've decided to re-release it on Blu-ray and re-dub it and also keep the original dub that I fell in love with decades ago.
So I translated the German from one of the scenes in the trailer. It says “I wish everyone was happy/had joy and everyone had a Digimon”. My guess is an antagonist sets this up, which could imply this is how all the 01 kids potentially get their digimon back and the 02 kids skip losing theirs per the ending of the 02 series, but it’s just a theory.
I REALLY REALLY REALLY HOPE! That they keep "Raidramon" as Veemon's Armor Evolution name. I won't lie, and I know I'm not the only one who feels like this... That is the only, and one massive thing, that could sour the mood for me with anything to do with any of this. I had to stop playing it in the card game, because of this reason (I may be only here, and it could sound like I'm reaching... but it's solely my only gripe with V-mon's appearances over the last 20 or so years). Veemon is my favourite Digimon. I hope to endorse my bud for all of time xD 😁
Shakkoumon Mega must be ClavisAngemon (later will got unlocked mode) Silphymon Mega as always Valkrymon (later Holy mode also) so it will be balanced & Imperialdramon will got other Alter Mode.
The way I see it, Milleiumon's mere existence is self-perpetuating, given he's a jogress of Machinedramon and Kimeramon, he continuously makes it so that Kimeramon exists by planting the literal seeds in Ken, so... Time is a little skewiff in the Adventure timeline after all (thanks, Milleniumon), plus we know Ken helped Ryp beat him, we've seen it! And I can only think of one way to make this movie better: Aquilamon and Ankylomon digivolving to Ultimate! Or Silphymon and Skakkoumon Digivolving to Mega! Or even dual Armour Digivolving, okay, that's three, I'll stop now...

Ah, 02... All I remember is the hate for jogress/dna digivolution. They literally sacrificed Holy Angemon and Angewomon for trash. The only worse offender to me is Xros Wars or whatever it's called in the west.😂😂😂😂
On one hand, Kizuna has proven that new movies can pull the magic of the OG anime of. On the other hand...changing the origin-story of the 8 Adventure Digi-Destined?.... This already feels like bad Tri vibes.... Their origin-story is perfect :< Why touch it? The only thing I can imagine of is, that they actually don't change the origin, but are "reliving" their past in an alternate world of sorts. Think "Digimon Adventure Hurricane Touchdown" with the whole digidestined get turned into their child-self in a bubble-dimension. That, but in a dimension that is just a replay of the origin, that would be something to work with. But actually changing the origin with timetravel and all that..... Got a bad feeling 'bout this :/

The bond being manufactured isn't an entirely new concept. It's even in 01, I believe. Where we see a place where the partner Digimon are "hooked up" to the Digicives and Crests. CLEARLY indicating some form of "preparation." They still had to meet and get that far, forging genuine bonds, but this isn't exactly a wholly new concept. This being true for the 02 crew as well does not surprise me.

I love that Digimon is the only reason anyone remembers Angela Anaconda. I just can't help but laugh every time it gets brought up.
Im excited for the movie but im disappointed Silphymon and Shakkoumon wont be reaching mega since the movie is going to focus on Davis and Ken.
This was a nice update. I knew about most of this mews but it was refreshing seeing it again. I’m really enjoying this new resurgence from the Digimon franchise that has been happening. The new movie with the 02 gang looks so good! I hope we don’t have to wait too long before an eventual U.S. release. I’m also really looking forward to the upcoming remastered HD release of season 02 with Japanese voices and English subs. I’ve always wanted to watch it in its original glory.

I don't really know if all these are goods news.
I mean, yes, something about 02 cast had to be told but at the same time 02 is a very divisive serie with dozens of inner flaws and pointless minor or major points, so I will be cautious about this movie.
People will probably hate me but I feel it was 02 that started to ruin Adventure, if anything else from Tamers aired after I fear Digimon would have entirely collapsed.
Not to mention how Digimon Adventure Tri was... flawed, very much... Feeling mostly like a nostalgia cashgrab rather than a new product.
I still feel it is time to let Adventure be and stop writing products who just pry on nostalgia, still I am very skeptical about this movie starring 02's very "questionable" cast.

A remaster of Digimon: The Movie is a literal dream come true for me. I always want to show it to my friends when I'm trying to get them into Digimon, but my DVD has scratches after so many years of use, so I can't give it the justice it deserves.
Only missed opportunity if they added revenge of diaboromon to this bundle. So that we have all 4 Adventure Era movies
Great time to be a digimon fan, for me personally my only wish would be to someday see digimon hunters dubbed in portuguese. Other than that, let's keep this train rolling and hopefully we can get another great digimon story game someday!

Y'know, going back to the original Adventure... the bonds between Digimon and humans were always manufactured. They *are* Chosen Children. We got a whole lore dump that their partners and Digivices were prepared ahead of time specifically for them.
From what I've gathered in the trailers so far, Rui met Ukkomon and made a wish that everyone could have a Digimon partner, which maybe is being granted during this movie judging by the giant egg and everyone's screens displaying his wish.
The only way for Rui to be the age he is at this time and be the first person to partner with a Digimon is via time travel, as Oikawa had a partner as early as the '70s.
Thank you for continuing to make great Digimon content. Glad to know there are die hard fans out there still. I hope they continue with creating more new movies for every Digimon season and connect them all.

When I saw Josh's twitter announcment awhile back. I got mega hyped to see it myself being announced by Tai himself. As a digimon fan who loved the og movie back in the 2000's. I can't wait to revisit this movie again a decade later. Especially with most of the og cast reuniting for it to dub for us. I am so hyped.
Im looking forward to the movie remasters. Hope the do it for all the other digimon movies. I personally loved Digimon x evolution and would buy it in a heart beat if it was redone.

My favorite of these news has to be the movies being remastered and getting dubbed. Though if I'm being honest, I really wish they would have included a remastered Mexican/Latin American dub since I'm from South America and I grew up with the dub provided by Mexican dub actors. Regardless, I'm happy the original Japanese cast is still in these films😄

I'm pretty new to the series, but I've got to say this was a really good week for the series. I'm definitely getting the Digimon the Movie set for both the original dub and the redubs. I'm also looking forward to the 02 movie even though I've still got to watch through that series.

I absolutely agree about not getting to see armor evolutions again, especially since these digimon are decedentants of those ancient digimon and are capable to armor digivolve, so it really bothers me that such a unique characteristic is somewhat shoved in the corner of obscurity for these guys.
The armor evolutions were never meant to last. They were only a temporary fix for the circumstances at the time.
I think what would really put the icing on the cake for this is to make a limited theatrical release of the new redubbed Digimon movie through Fathom Events. That would not only be absolutely wild, but would also be a great opportunity to let potential new fans of Digimon get nicely introduced into the franchise.

Love your channel so much. I feel like I'm chilling with my best friend in 1999 dreaming about the digital world everytime you drop a video. Authenticity is a rare thing in this financial homogenized RUclips world so its refreshing to see a love letter channel.
Since this is a new 02 movie, I expect there will be a new evolution introduced in the film. I'm guessing Davis's Veemon will get a new mega form.
Also, if this movie does introduce time travel, I wonder if Yggdrasil will be finally introduced in the adventure story, since the royal knights are now canon.
I also hope Ryo will be mentioned in the new movie, since he was the first Digidestined Ken met in the digital world, and according to the digimon games, Ryo was supposedly Veemon's first human partner.

The news of the movie collection is unbelievable, I'm sincerely so excited. I'm just hoping the japanese version included will maintain the original soundtrack and not the one from the western adaptation but I'm already so grateful that someone is going to release the somehow faithful adaptations of the first three movies
I absolutely loved the digimon movie. I'm so glad they've decided to re-release it on Blu-ray and re-dub it and also keep the original dub that I fell in love with decades ago.
So I translated the German from one of the scenes in the trailer. It says “I wish everyone was happy/had joy and everyone had a Digimon”. My guess is an antagonist sets this up, which could imply this is how all the 01 kids potentially get their digimon back and the 02 kids skip losing theirs per the ending of the 02 series, but it’s just a theory.

I won't lie, and I know I'm not the only one who feels like this... That is the only, and one massive thing, that could sour the mood for me with anything to do with any of this.

The way I see it, Milleiumon's mere existence is self-perpetuating, given he's a jogress of Machinedramon and Kimeramon, he continuously makes it so that Kimeramon exists by planting the literal seeds in Ken, so... Time is a little skewiff in the Adventure timeline after all (thanks, Milleniumon), plus we know Ken helped Ryp beat him, we've seen it! And I can only think of one way to make this movie better: Aquilamon and Ankylomon digivolving to Ultimate! Or Silphymon and Skakkoumon Digivolving to Mega! Or even dual Armour Digivolving, okay, that's three, I'll stop now...

The only thing I can imagine of is, that they actually don't change the origin, but are "reliving" their past in an alternate world of sorts. Think "Digimon Adventure Hurricane Touchdown" with the whole digidestined get turned into their child-self in a bubble-dimension. That, but in a dimension that is just a replay of the origin, that would be something to work with.
But actually changing the origin with timetravel and all that..... Got a bad feeling 'bout this :/

The bond being manufactured isn't an entirely new concept. It's even in 01, I believe. Where we see a place where the partner Digimon are "hooked up" to the Digicives and Crests. CLEARLY indicating some form of "preparation." They still had to meet and get that far, forging genuine bonds, but this isn't exactly a wholly new concept. This being true for the 02 crew as well does not surprise me.
