Discotek have announced that the Angela Anaconda short won't be included in this set. Not for lack of trying, but they couldn't find whomever currently holds the licensing and distribution rights for Angela Anaconda.
Ah, yes. The old "I own the rights, but if I'm not doing anything with it, no one else can either" conundrum. She will be missed. Or maybe not. Tbh, I don't know many people who actually watched the show.
I think all 65 episodes of Angela Anaconda are currently available on Roku channel, but some episodes are listed weird, like the person uploading them made a mistake. Update- IMDB also says it’s available on Freevee, and amazon video to buy for $12. Maybe the company that owns it didn’t realize they had it until discotek started asking about it, because I’m not sure if this show was available anywhere until recently.
Exactly what I thought! Hopefully the voice direction is good and the actors don't sound like they're phoning it in. If it's even close to sounding like the original dubs, it's a must-have.

Cards are always nice. I remember that was one of the best things about going to see a Pokemon or Digimon movie was getting handed that promo card as you made your way in. Now, I don't even know if they do that sort of thing anymore.
@randdurand for the most recent release of Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning it came with a "Liberator Promo Pack" for the current Digimon TCG , and the Set of Ex7 just came out last week so now those cards are now in fashion. Just like back in the day when going to see movies getting a promo pack as a kid was always cool. I remember going to the The Yugioh Movie Pyramid of Light and getting wattapon lol.

Saw the first movie, Our War Game, and Diablomon Strikes Back in Shinjuku last October. Taichi making the computer BSoD was the only time I ever heard audible (but stifled) laughter from a Japanese theater audience. Seeing those first two movies on the big screen was a genuinely emotional experience. But that being said, I'll always have a soft spot for "Digimon: The Movie" and the treatment this new release is getting is nothing short of fantastic. However, Bandai is still too cowardly to acknowledge AngelaAnacondamon as an Angemon subspecies.
Yeah, that would have been great, but I guess since it came later, it wasn't considered. Would be great to see a rerelease of it down the line, though!
Could be a case of having to go through the right channels of getting the dub licensed, since it was dubbed with the two tamers movies and frontier movie around 2005ish when Disney owned the digimon rights so perhaps thought it'd be better to release them together. A hypothetical third set could include the short Savers/Data Squad movie and X-Evolution
well not quite all of the cast since a bunch have passed away but basically everyone who hasn't passed away or isn't related to Haim Saban has been brought back which isn't bad, I'd be impressed if they even went to the trouble of finding the original Koromon who has had 3 different voice actors over the 2 seasons and various movies. That sadly means no Philece Sampler as Mimi and Cody or Michael Lindsay as Joe, both are 2 who have passed away. Yolei was recast because Tifanie was her voice and no one has been bothering with her anymore, no one is quite sure as to why but most people allegedly believe that it is because Haim Saban is her StepDad. Greymon, MetalGreymon and Angemon were recast, Greymon's voice was Michael Lindsay, MetalGreymon's voice was Joseph Pilato who sadly passed away and while Angemon's voice; Dave Mallow is still around, he sadly apparently retired so no more iconic Angemon voices from him.

Digimon the Movie was one of my first theatre-alone movies as a kid. What a nightmare that was. I had no idea what was playing at the beginning. It was just some random 2D cut-out cartoon i've never seen before and I was just scared I walked into the wrong theatre. Then that really loud Digi-Rap starts playing and im just cringing the entire time waiting for the actual movie to start. But finally, the movie actually starts...and it was just too damn much. Instead of noticing the increased budget, cool action scenes and funny dialogue, I'm seeing this wacky, dark, and violent movie that had polar opposite energy from the anime. Even Omnimon's reveal did nothing for me. For the rest of the movie, im constantly tuning out til the credits. My mom picked me up after, and had many questions about the movie. I just responded with single words and she was just baffled about how unenthused I was.
It's really interesting how differently we see things as kids, huh? I remember being a big fan of the Beast Wars toys as a kid, but when I finally saw a part of the series, it was the scene where Rhinox fart-catapulted all the Predacons into a tree. Didn't know how to make sense of what I was seeing. Lol.

Same! My family had a ton of VHS, actually. As for streaming, I don't think it's available on any service. That's the downfall of streaming, if they don't offer it, you don't get to watch it, and there is a TON of stuff that remains VHS and DVD locked.
I loved the digimon movie! All digimon animation is wayyyy better than pokemon. Obviously pokemon games are better though(minus very few of digimon games)
The thing I really appreciated about Digimon is that the characters grew up with you. Pokemon was always about catering to the next, younger generation of fans, but Digimon at least awknowledged that it had older fans.
I wonder if it includes the actual sequel to Diaboromon's story, Digimon 02: Revenge of Diaboromon, featuring the one and only Paildramon Paladin mode? It would really slap.

If there's one thing I really like about the dub version, it's the amount of jokes and clever one-liners they snuck into the script. "Did you see that? No, I was sleeping. But you're driving!" Lives rent-free in my head to this day. Oh, and who could forget the beef jerky shakes?
I always felt like Digimon was the younger brother to Pokemon who worked twice as hard, but never quite got the same recognition. Especially in the past 10 years, I think Pokemon has been able to coast on brand recognition more and more while allowing quality to slip.

The US Digimon movie was weird, but it had the best OST.
