Hey man hope you're doing well speedy recovery and all that I feel like I should also throw one out to you have you ever seen the film "blueberry"? Many kickstarters: cancel and run with the money for no reason AustinMcConnel: Still works to deliver the promised final product even after having heart problems and a stroke.
Wonder if there is a connection between the amount raised and the feasibility of completing the project. Not that making a movie is easy, or $50,000 isn't a lot of money. But often those cancelled kickstarters you mention raise a huge amount of money, and were attempting to do something impossible (and usually they can't even make a prototype before the kickstarter is fully funded). That's not to take admiration away from Austin's dedication, but it's important to note that he intentionally created a funding goal and project that is actually realizable given enough time.

Considering the health issues you've been dealing with, delays are completely understandable. As excited as I am for new Catman and seeing the full Atlas movie your health should always come first. I'll take you over your cinematic universe any day.
I am so glad that your Superzeroes franchise is still going on! Due to your health issues, I had a huge fear that you were going to give it all up, but I'm glad you kept going with it. I created three pieces of fan art for the Superzeroes. However, I've been boycotting Twitter and Instagram for many personal and controversial reasons, so I'm not eligible to compete in the fan art contest (but they are on my other socials like Procreate Folio, Flickr, and Pinterest). Despite this, your work is one of my biggest inspirations for a based-on-a-public-domain-work indie animated series I've been working on, Colonel Bleep and the Uncharted Earth (based on the first color cartoon for TV and initially started as a novel like The Spider Queen, but I eventually changed it). The series features a test pilot titled Colonel Bleep and The Test Theme if you want to check it out. Still, I'm excited to see both Atlas and Catman! The public domain seriously deserves more respect than it gets.
The fact that Austin is still doing this, with the other stuff going on, is amazing. Dude has more work ethic than most people I know. After reading Spider-Queen, I can't wait for the Blue Bolt Novel!
Austin, there has never been a creator who has inspired me more than you. The work you do looks amazing! As a fellow full-time filmmaker, I’m extremely grateful for the videos, content, and books you’re putting out. Keep up the incredible work! But seriously no rush, someone told me you died and I about balled my eyes out before I realized they were trolling me
The fact that you're still trying to animate Atlas, while also working on Cat-Man, and you're finishing up a book, all while recovering from your operation AND A STROKE is miraculous. The Hamilton song "Non-Stop" from Hamilton comes to mind. The projects look great. Atlas looks like it is really coming along. Cat-Man's art style and animation looks great, it looks inspired by Bruce Timm's art style (even beyond that BTAS homage shot) and Fleischer's animated Superman shorts. I'm interested in The Spider-Queen and if the audiobook were on Spotify Premium I would already have it pulled up. I might just buy the e-book instead.
I totally forgot it was you who was making these so I watched the catman trailer today and I just thought it looked great obviously homage to Batman the animated Series in a lot of ways and I'm excited
Dude, you are SUCH an inspiration, creating a whole entire cinematic universe with old superheroes from the scrap pile. But seriously... your health comes first. Please don't overdo it, we want you to still be around.
ITS BEEN 2 LONG!!! I hope you're okay and hope you get back to this universe. All your previous projects were amazing. I didn't get the whole novel but the first chapter was great - is there an online version of the whole novel and if you get the tangible does it also get you the digital version free or for a cheaper price.
Another book? Sweet my Spider-Queen comic is the only superhero book I have (I usually read Thriller/Horror with some fantasy) that is superhero genre. She feels lonely being the only book of that genre in my collection.
After all you've gone through the wait is more than merited. Take your time, I've already waited this long, a little bit longer wont hurt. Ive been so pleased with everything released thus far (especially Cat-Man), there's no need to rush perfection!

After reading Spider-Queen, I can't wait for the Blue Bolt Novel!
It's insane how much effort you're clearly putting into recovery. If I hadn't seen the previous videos I'd have no idea anything happened seeing this.
Thanks for the update. I just bought the ebook of Spider-Queen on Amazon.
Holy shit the animator for catman is amazing. He make it look like it's should have air 75 years ago
Thank you!
I am so glad to hear your energy and rhythm returning to your voice.
I love your novel of Spider Queen!
We all love you man!!
Look foreard to it, but also remember to rest and heal. Take care of your health first!
Take care and keep it up Austin! I love your videos ❤
The Catman animation looks sick, it's like a 90's cartoon
Another book? Sweet my Spider-Queen comic is the only superhero book I have (I usually read Thriller/Horror with some fantasy) that is superhero genre. She feels lonely being the only book of that genre in my collection.
You're already sounding so much better man! Im proud of you and I hope you continue to thrive.
Please put all your focus on health and recovery! The cinematic universe can wait ❤
After all you've gone through the wait is more than merited. Take your time, I've already waited this long, a little bit longer wont hurt. Ive been so pleased with everything released thus far (especially Cat-Man), there's no need to rush perfection!
I feel like doing rehabilitation exercises while working on atlas must bring a weird perspective now
