  • The second generation Renault Kangoo van which is from around 2007 to 2022, uses the same heater box in both the diesel and electric versions. This video shows you how to replace the cabin filter and in this example, on a 2020 Renault Kangoo Electric ZE33 ML21. The factory filter is a Denso full size filter. Any replacements will be a two part filter.

    Here's a revised version of your text with improved grammar and clarity:
    ---
    I had an argument with the Renault service team after watching your video and checking whether the air filter had actually been replaced, as they had charged me for it.
    They insisted that the filter was 100% replaced, but when I pulled out the original filter and asked them to either put it back or bring a replacement for comparison, there was a bit of silence and confusion.
    In the end, I accepted two free replacement filter packs and canceled my yearly servicing with them.

    French designers must spend too much time on the vino , just replaced mine , clutch pedal makes it harder and there is no space to get the filters in. End up stuffing them in. No wonder they never get changed.

    You can change them from both sides its the same heater boc on lhd/rhd easier to go to the nearside on a manual van

    This is a great video if you have electric van.
    I don’t, I have a regular diesel van and the clutch pedal is in the way!
    In my case, what would I need to do?

      Have a look at the other side of the heater box, from the passenger side. Some have an access flap on both sides.

    Hi, Thanks, can you do the same video for Hyundai Ioniq ?

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  Год назад

      I've just checked and I'm surprised I've not done this yet. They're really easy on the Ioniq. Its just behind the glove box and couldn't be easier. But I will make a video soon.

    Hi
    From what model of this car do they have the auto hold function?

  • @pompeyjim
    @pompeyjim Год назад

    Must admit I haven't changed mine in the two years I've had the van cos it looked too much of a pain! Don't suppose you'll be doing a vid anytime showing dashboard removal to get to the blower motor?

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  Год назад

      Is your fan not working then? If so, it could be the resistor pack which is pretty easy to replace. See this video where I did this job on a Zoe, so it should be similar in the Kangoo. See ruclips.net/video/WGzGcyOaGN0/видео.html

      @@GoGreenAutos thanks but it was the motor. Had to take the dashboard out to get to it! Also went to change the cabin filter and there wasn't one in there! And even worse, when I put the new one in the tab snapped off and the filter has fallen into the abyss

    Hi Matt,it would have been a bit more intuitive if you actually showed us pulling the old filter out and putting the new one in.keep the video's coming though.

      Too difficult to film. You can't point a camera up there and see anything if your arm is in there too - just not enough space. I did try.

    Its bloody weird. Australian delivered kangoos its flipped upside down. Wen i install a new cabin filter i have to find a way to keep the first half pushed up then slot the 2nd one. My kangoo doesnt drop down then add 2nd half.

      @GoGreenAutos thanks for the info abt the big filter. I always wondered which kangoo had the bigger filter not knowing the factory filter was the big nearly square one. The dual filter wayyyy simpler to install. Except having to remove few things just to get it fitted

    Matt have you ever upgraded a car's cabin filter?
    Is it the Model S that has a HEPA grade filter for biodefense mode?
    Given the air pollution in the UK I'd love to get a better cabin filter for particulates in my Kona. Are there any ways of doing this?

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  Год назад

      Have a look on Autodoc as they probably have the best range of filters for most cars. I put a better filter in our Ioniq, which probably uses the same filter as the Kona. I seem to remember my previous MG ZS EV had a PM2.5 filter too. I have my doubts whether these things fully work though due to the way the filter sits in the housing as they're not sealed. They just sit in a slot with quite a bit of slack, so air could flow around the sides of the filter easier than flowing through the paper filter. But they will help though.
      The Tesla HEPA filter is on some S & X and I believe now also an Y. See insideevs.com/news/563174/tesla-demonstrates-bioweapon-defense-mode/

    Hi, question. Whats the part number for this cabin filter?

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  Год назад

      Sorry, don't have a part number to hand. But they're very common. Put your reg into Autodoc to see all the brands of cabin filter.
