    The O.G machines are still a good choice if you like too tinker. Best bang for the buck I ever had in a utv. 08 Yamaha rhino. Five grand for a 700 cc with parts available. Hard to beat . Great video, and thanks for your honesty and good luck with your machine.

    One of the better looking Z I've seen. It all came together real nice. Bang for your buck it's an unbeatable machine. The WC is down with a cracked and cooked trans / rear diff unit 😡.... aftermarket skid plates are more than worth the money. Iron Baltic or Ricochet 👍🏼🍻🍀

      I feel your pain with the wildcat! I couldn't get the parts to even repair it since the trans and motor are in the same cast and it was cracked, well blown out.That's the only reason I got rid of it. My Moto did turn out nice, in my opinion. And still under 16.5k not too shabby! Btw, I used 3 star industries for the skid plate!

    This is a great video and exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! I'm fairly close to pulling the trigger on an HO EX. It sounds like I do more casual trail riding than you do. I had a Can Am Defender and it was just like driving my truck so I decided I wanted something more sporty and and more fun. I'm thinking this may fit the bill nicely.

      I sold it privately in December but not for any negative reasons. Actually I enjoyed it very much. I put 3700kms on it without any issues. The 2 negative things that I can say about it are, it's very expensive to service unless you do it yourself and the resale value/trade in value is horrible. @djWOOF

    Just for the record, as I understand the unit, when you put the unit in dif-lock, it automatically puts the unit in ecco. I guess I should've explained that a little better! It sucks. This may be to protect things from breaking or whatever the thoughts of CFMOTO were when designing it.

  • @davesmith2150
    @davesmith2150 Год назад +1

    The 23s are much better just got one has beadlocks on 29s, 64in wide shocks are alittle stiff at slow speeds but are perfect at higher speeds they also bumped the power up and suspension travel but it's not 20in so it has to be alittle stiff but the same turning radius, I think they do that so it's easier on the machine. I like the interior they nailed it nothing bright except the head lights you don't need a light bar.

  • @mr.c5647
    @mr.c5647 2 года назад +2

    Have you tried running in sport mode when you engaged the diff lock? Also try using the switch on console that takes the governor off and gives you full throttle, see if that works but again great looking machine!!

    • @sxsoutcast7651
      @sxsoutcast7651  2 года назад +2

      Its always in sport. I never use ecco. It sucks on the hills. Any tiire spin stops the power. I hate that. If its gonna break something then let me break it. It should be my decision. Joel with MSC hates it too. If the new tune kills that lame mode then I will get the tune if just for that alone. Thanks, I like the looks of the unit a lot and I'm not getting another anytime soon.

    Nice build. How much you got in that ride aftermarket? I've got the 1000 overland. Tune headers, upper engine mount, stage 2 clutch and 1nc wheel spacers. I've got 700 miles, so far. Get the headers brother, then the tune. Big power with the msc stage 2 or 3 clutch. You'll be 😲 shocked! Msc can do it all for you.

    • @sxsoutcast7651
      @sxsoutcast7651  9 месяцев назад

      I probably have about 3k in it.
      I did have the msc tune but got rid of it and put a different one on. I do have the stage 2 spring and helix from their first set up for the clutch upgrade. Wheel spacers, dual exhaust, Ray Parker tune, my diy roll cage, fender flares, yea, about 3k. Tires were the biggest expense.

    Why are you spinning tires in ECO? Use Sport mode.

    • @sxsoutcast7651
      @sxsoutcast7651  2 года назад

      I really need to clarify this. I never run in ecco. When the tires spin when the dif-loc is on, the tire spin reduces my power by a lot, like it's in ecco. A true example, I was climbing a slate pit and it was steep and I needed to be in dif-loc. As I started up, it started to spin. All the ppl at the bottom including myself thought I wasn't gonna make it. I could only do 10mph up. It was like it was in ecco. I hope with me sending the ECU off to MSC for a tune that this fixes it because something is seriously wrong.

      The z950 has a built in rev limiter. When the unit gets to a certain rpm, it loses power. It wasn't eco mode as i accidentally misled. The unit will not maintain the high rpm without losing power.

    Cfmoto are probably a overall decent machine but these are budget machines for a reason. They cut so many corners to get that low price.
