Not just the best automotive workshop on RUclips but unquestionably the finest automotive workshop in the world! Thank you Iain, we are so privileged that you choose to share your wonderful work with us.
I love that it's a business first and a show second. That makes it a show about a beautiful business rather than a show business, and we have enough of that. It's a privilege to get a peak into a real business like that.
@@iain_tyrrell What about a business first, a 45 min guided car museum tour second, and a YT show third? Could the business handle gawkers in the hallowed halls? By appointment, of course. Just an idle thought.
Mr Tyrell - your WORKSHOP is the 'bit special' part of all this - where else on Earth can the proprietor stand there and say that they have just completed not one, not two, but THREE Miuras - within the same week. This is nothing short of miraculous!
As some of other viewers noticed, that video effect at 10:50 made the cars look like Matchbox Cars from my youth. Looked like you could pick them up and push them around an imaginary racetrack in your bedroom at home. Absolutely magnificent.
I can never get enough of seeing Muiras on the channel, they are so sublimely beautiful machines, the pinnacle of style and mechanical engineering excellence matched by not a lot else before or since. Thanks for another look at an icon.
Dear Iain, congratulations for the job of your team, don't apologize for not testing it, the perfection of the finished car is more important than a poor rainy test. Cheers
It's due to the very shallow depth of field i.e. only a very limited portion of the image is in focus. We're used to seeing this with very small objects so when we see it with larger ones we automatically scale them down. It is indeed a really neat trick.
It's all the more effective because there are so many exotic vehicles in the image, another cue that reinforces the interpretation that we're looking at a collection of scale models, since it would be improbable to see all those fabulous cars together in real life...
Iain, no need for an apology. We are happy to get the opportunity to visit your shop. That’s as close as most of us get to the kinds of cars you represent. Thank you for letting us have a bite.
You don’t need to drive it, it looks like it’s going 200 mph just sitting there. Absolutely amazing craftsmanship in this restoration. Iain, you and your staff really outdid yourselves.
Thanks Iain for sort of squeezing the "fun part" of your marvelous activities into the business frame! I am sure that your followers highly appreciate this!
Needless to say a Miura is a sublime piece of artwork and the SV version is the ultimate to my eyes. The car has undergone a marvellous sympathetic restoration that is beyond the normal resto that's performed in many US based restoration workshops - where some perform ghastly work, and sometimes at the request of an 'unsympathetic' (to put mildly) wealthy owner. I find it so refreshing that the video is filmed by a working garage and not a 'reality' television show or YT channel that is far from actual reality.
Not for the first time, I’m left speechless, for me this is as near perfect has its possible for a car to get. A truly staggering achievement. If ever there was a person defined by what he does you are that person, the passion and attention to detail shown here could only be yours. In 100 years people will look at this car and know without reference who put it together, that’s a legacy.
No need to apologise, we are just so thankful for anything you share. You should be so proud of what you and your team are doing, keeping these works of art restored to such a high standard.
I bet you feel a ton of pride when a full restoration goes back to the owner, i also suspect the Your Name carries value too. Excellent job, brilliant.
The fact that customers pay for Iain to travel out to their location and assist them with their cars tells you the sort of reputation and esteem he has built in this area. I envy you Iain, but respect you a whole lot more for the work and dedication it takes to build this kind of reputation. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Dear Iain, Your point about the business of running the workshop driving video presentations, and not vice-versa, is well made. Given the time needed to make content of such high quality, I really appreciate the effort that you and your whole team go to for your viewers. I hope that you get as much enjoyment out of making it as we do watching it all. The sound that Bizzarrini V12 makes is glorious, even better than I could have imagined. Everything you cover is well worth seeing, as it's so educational. But please, keep the V12 stuff coming. Especially the Lamborghinis. I can't get enough of them. Sending my best regards to you, Melanie and the team Brett
When a video drops from Iain, it's like Christmas. When it comes with a Lamboghini or Ferrari, it's like when you were a kid and your box is the biggest that is underneath the tree.
What a beauty. It is most understandable that you did not this car out in the rain but it was a treat to see the short clip of you driving one in France Iain. Lucky you!
Thank you so much for the drive clip, I was genuinely bummed when it was mentioned no drive. What an outstanding soundtrack, you can hear the power clearly.
The big wheels/tires look a little Hot Wheels but amazing at the same time. That dry sump system will make other Miura owners weep in envy. And that isn't an easy thing to do.
Since watching the first 600 video a few weeks ago i am truly and utterly hooked to this channel. I could listen to mr Iain all day long and never get bored for a single second!!
A weekend full of racing action at the revival at Goodwood and a new episode of TCW. Wonderful. Thank you very much for the insight of the Miura SV. Very interesting. Don't hesitate to go full-nerd-mode. It is a delight.
I have never seen a Miura in the flesh. I feel like I visit an automobile museum with each of your videos. This is the closest most of us will ever get to the cars you highlight in each video. You are not just a master mechanic you are a curator preserving automotive history. To most of us exotic car fans you work in the the shop of our dreams. Your shop restores these cars to the highest quality standards. They look like they just rolled off the showroom floor. I suspect you are hiding a time capsule in the back of your shop. Great video as always. Thanks for sharing.
What a beautiful car. What a wonderful job, restoring it to its original glory! Thanks for sharing details about what sets an SV apart from earlier models. Very interesting and enjoyable.
Another brilliant Miura video Iain. Great to hear all the 'insider info' such as the LSD and sump arrangements. You're clearly an expert in your field and this has to be one of the best motoring channels around (as well as Harry's Garage!)
Truly outstanding restoration of an exceptional car. Fabulous level of technical detail across the restoration - well beyond original standard, I would imagine. Many thanks.
You know you've won in life's lottery when your job includes tasks like having to drive a Miura SV on a coastal road in southern france 🤩 short but great video again, even without test drive!
What a privilege to be entrusted with such an achingly beautiful car and those silver wheels/trim are perfectly set off against the stunning green paint. The 50s, 60s and 70s were the peak for cars and those unbelievably voluptuous lines are so wonderfully feminine. Just magnificent.
Thank you Iain for an excellent summary and previous videos on this car. I am constantly surprised by the material that you are able to upload. Cheers from NZ🇳🇿.
I really love the eye lashes on the "black forest" Miura.... best greetings from Germany, dear Iain. Your videos are always a pleasure and rounds up my sundays, even under bad weather conditions....😊, Martin
This is such a beautiful car. What a superb shape it has! I can just imagine the thoughts of someone who saw one of these in the 1960’s - they would have thought it was a spaceship! Even today, 55 years later, this car still tugs at the heart strings. And thank you as always Iain for sharing these wonderful detailed videos, sprinkled with your unique sense of humour, with us all. Especially those of us who live miles and miles away where such gorgeous cars of this era are very very few and far between.
What a stunning machine- testament to the skill and attention to detail of the team responsible for it's rebirth. Fabulous work and a real treat to view!
No need to apologise Mr T. A final look at your team's craftsmanship is always a treat. If I ever won the lottery...what a wonderful specimen of the world's most beautiful car. Bravo!
This car is probably the only way to experience how you would imagine a factory fresh one should be like, even if the reality of a 70s Italian sports car probably wasn't up to this level. Amazing
Hard to believe that design is over 50 years old. It still is one the most beautiful cars ever made. I still remember seeing one sitting on a used car lot of exotics here in Toronto back in the 70's.
I love that green, so 'of the time' that car was launched. A fond memory I have is seeing my first ever Dino in the early 1970's. It was exactly that colour, but sadly most owners over the years resprayed them red. Loved the driving footage!
Just fantastic attention to detail . Miura reminds me of my matchbox car days . Interesting how they tweaked here and there over the period of manufacture, think the eye lashes still take some beating. SV is definitely the origin of the super car , sits totally different on its feet than the standard ( as if there is one) . Thanks Iain for the videos . Wonderful

What a car! Perfect colour for this machine! Tony Iommi (guitarist of Black Sabbath) owned a Muira in the early 70’s in that light blue colour - do you know about this particular car, Ian?
Have to say that little bit of cheeky tilt shift on the lens at 10.49 has worked very effectively. You could actually blow that up as a still and it would make a great piece of art.

Perfect Miura. Too bad the new owner isn't back in a good part of the US (mountainous scenic roads, relatively dry climate) where the car came from.

extreme depth of field from a long telephoto shot
