I've been hoping one day we would see a doll inspired by Japanese culture, and inspired by Geisha no less it makes me happy! To point a few things out the hairstyle this doll is wearing would be considered Geisha Shimada, in today's times Geisha will wear wigs in this hair style where as back before WWII times they styled their hair like this. The hair decorations up front are called kanzashi, Maiko wear these and from looking at the artists picture it seems they chose willow branches as a motif which is used in June for a summer motif. The gold dangling pieces are called bira kanzashi, they normally come in silver and dangle and sparkle when a maiko walks or moves. The kimono worn here is called a hikizuri, they're specially made with a long trim in the back for dancers. Geisha and Maiko wear a style called Sushohikizuri that will have slightly longer sleeves for the geisha and even longer for the maiko. They can come in various colors and patterns, the style here is perfect for summer and goes perfect with the kanzashi. The white make-up geisha wear is called oshiroi. Because Geisha and Maiko wear this stuff almost daily they have skin routines they follow as oshiroi can sometimes clog pores and cause breakouts. There was even a Geisha a few years back who created her own skincare products to combat with the effects of oshiroi.
A whole collection of different ethnicities that often get neglected would be awesome. It's a lot of research but I'm sure the outcome would be spectacular!

Tbh that’s one of the prettiest dolls I have seen. The idea is so original and the concept its just beautiful. Tha way she was turned into life was amazing!!!
Im not sure if this would even work, or make sense to do financially because I know its expensive, but it would be cool to build a silicone mermaid tail mold that the real legs slipped inside of, that would bend where the legs bend still and you could take it off if you wanted. I can see it in my head, I just don't know if its possible. Kind of like how 2000's polly pocket clothes worked if that makes sense.

This was absolutely amazing and stunning, the kimono blew me away. The only think i think I would have liked to have seen was scale texture on her tail but I am pretty sure that would have been super difficult to do. I have no words for how beautiful this doll turned out. Her design is so unique and it shows just how gorgeous it is in the finished doll 🥰
The process of making a wig out of yard its the most satisfying thing in the entire world
Oh wow. The artwork and backstory on this doll had me imagining a Japanese grandfather sitting on the porch, after tea, telling his grandchildren about the legendary Koi Fish Youkai. Beautiful art work and an amazing doll you have made from it!
Its absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!! I love how the doll turned out! She is so beautiful! Good job Maryna! And to Lady Bellflower for the design! I'm sure she will love it!
Tbh that’s one of the prettiest dolls I have seen. The idea is so original and the concept its just beautiful. Tha way she was turned into life was amazing!!!
OMG 😲 she is unbelievable 😍😍
Im not sure if this would even work, or make sense to do financially because I know its expensive, but it would be cool to build a silicone mermaid tail mold that the real legs slipped inside of, that would bend where the legs bend still and you could take it off if you wanted. I can see it in my head, I just don't know if its possible. Kind of like how 2000's polly pocket clothes worked if that makes sense.

Silicone mermaid tails exist
@@MestrePi i think they meant for dolls... not people
@@elizabethcrossley6853 yea but they're probably saying it's possible youd just have to scale it down.
Before I even got to the part where you mention those polly pocket clothes, that's EXACTLY what came to mind! 😆
почему тут нет ни одного русского комментария? я слышу 1000% русский акцент
Согласна😂😂
Как я поняла, она полячка, которая живёт в Бельгии
Diana Cabrera только хотела это написать, и тут вижу ваш комент)
это вообще не русский акцент.. ни разу
@@МаргаритаСилаева-к4с нет, она родилась в СССР, в Беларуси
The design is beautiful and the artist did a lovely job with her concept. You did a phenomenal job bringing it to life in doll form :)
Во время просмотра сидела, через каждые пару минут восклицая "Потрясающе!"
Это первое видео, которое я смотрю на вашем канале, и это просто аааааа и миллионы сердец! Красотища!
This is stunning! Fantastic work and so soothing to watch. Thank you for sharing your passion.
Extremely beautiful! Loved watching the kimono being made, and also the lantern. So satisfying to watch the paint go on for some reason.
She is absolutely stunning! You did an amazing job!
Hello, I would love to you do a African inspired princess. Also, maybe a Nigerian inspired one. I think it would look well with your artwork.Pls take this into consider.
I would love to see her repaint a Tonner doll
up
her eyes💗💗💗 thwy way you made them look like glass eyeballs is amazing!
This doll is incredible. Both you and your Mom are such talented artists.
Without the tail fin it looked like a Lamia. I love the look of this espacially after i have fallen down into an anime marathon. Great job
This is probably my fave doll from you, its so unique✨✨
Oh My god YES! I have been waiting on this collab ever since you told us about collab with poppen
You stole the words right out of my mouth 🙉
This is by far my favorite one!! She's gorgeous!
The attention to detail is amazing! 😍😍
This was amazing and the outfit WAS BEAUTIFUL!
Could you make an historical acurate Pocahontas doll?
Pls tell her to record her unboxing!! Such an exquisite collaborative piece ❤️
Hello, I'm the artist and omg..... I might just have to. I'm not a very expressive person, but it would be a great way to thank Maryna for this
Yes pls. It is a very nice artwork. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu ,❤️
Anitanataバンタンファン you are amazing. ❤️❤️❤️
Love this. I love her face and hair it's just gorgeous.
Love this idea, doing fan art to break up all the pop culture dolls with some freshness. It turned out amazing! I wish I could have a life size silk robe like hers.
OMG the winners have such a great talent 😍 and to see it come alive through your hands, it was amazing ❤️
Me being Japanese: 👁👄👁
I love this so much
I haven't watched it yet, but I already love her! Poppen always makes the most beautiful dolls ever!
One of the most beautiful dolls you have ever painted!!
I love all of your repaint but this one looks astoundingly beautiful. You are so insanely talented, so is your mum, and so is the original artist!
You have outdone yourself!!!
This is beautiful! I love that you took someone's concept art and brought it to life on this doll
She is so beautiful!!! One of your best! 😍
You are criminally underrated, you deserve at least 1mil! Your arts so wonderful, you're so sweet! your mom makes such good clothes! You're entertaining and spend so much time dedicated to doll making/youtube! You're too kind to us!
You and your Mom are wildly talented. Thank you for sharing your art!
I really think you should do Prince, the American music artist. It would be nice to see him in doll form, especially with his iconic purple jacket and guitar.
I loooove everything about the mermaid dolls 🥰 Good job to lady wellflower as well for the amazing creativity!
Ok I love these vids so much - but that girl has to start wearing gloves when working with Pure Acetone. That is not good for you and I have seen what it can do to your skin. Please be safe when crafting ♥️
This was absolutely amazing and stunning, the kimono blew me away. The only think i think I would have liked to have seen was scale texture on her tail but I am pretty sure that would have been super difficult to do. Without it, it does get a really neat pop art look though so it's still like 100/10 beautiful lol
The doll came out gorgeous! My favourite part is the detail on the fins, they look so alive!
This doll is sooo amazing. I love her
The process of doing the tail made me think of a Medusa doll‼
This one's going to be my new favourite. She's so incredibly gorgeous.
The doll turned out so beautiful!
I absolutely adore your mother's contributions. It's so impressive and adorable and amazing.
