I just saw a tweet by the ceo of RUclips saying that you may actually be allowed to discuss it as the law they were using for the ban no longer fits into the category of short term events that cause significant trauma such as with natural disasters.
I love how you give us lovely tidbits of knowledge and historical facts. My favorite part is when you spoke about Tuberculosis influencing fashion and beauty trends and how they called it "consumption chic". It made me think of how similarly in the 90s and 00's "Heroin chic" was what was considered couture and beautiful. I was a heroine addict for about 6 years (clean for 5 years) and I can definitely say that it is not at all glamorous. Anyways I love it. I loved the story you had for your doll as well. Thank you for a beautiful and entertaining experience once again.
there was an accident in the second half of the XIX century in Paris in wich drowned girl was found and than she was exposed in a funeral home glass case by a street in a hope that somebody would recognise her, nobody did. She was taken out of water just minutes after death so that she only looked like if she was sleeping, subtle sad smile on her lips. As more and more people came to see her, gossips started to rise about her death. It was acknowledged that it was certainly a suicidal death. But why though? Because of a forbidden love? Broken heart? At some point a death mask was taken off of her face and guess what? It started selling out. Not so long after, her face was stated as the beauty standard for women in the whole Europe, and many people had her death mask in their home and girls looked up to it. Nice story isn't it? edit: subtle not saddle lol🐎
"It's pretty insane to think that beauty standards were influenced by disease." Europeans used to eat mummies and are the reason we don't have very many anymore. The fact people thought TB was sexy isn't really that surprising.
@@stigyanblue1442 it used to be a thing in Thailand to have extremely yellow skin and red/black teeth. The yellow is actually from a certain herb and the red/black is from a fruit Thais chew on. (This red/black stain also prevented tooth decay back then)

She is a mortician who makes facinating videos about death and historical events. I think you might like her content! Anyways, keep up the amazing work! I second the recommendation of Caitlin Doughty!! Her videos are absolutely fascinating & are delivered with just enough humor to keep her audience from sinking into a dark place. C:

I had such a rough day and the story about the Physician’s cottage and your sweet voice made me so happy I cried happy tears! Thank you for continuing to create the most gorgeous dolls and figures 💕🥺
I tend to come to this video for comfort personally. Something about the combination of the macabre theme, choice of music, character, and voiceover calms something in my soul. It's sort of like being invited to have tea during a foggy morning at the nearby cottage.
I absolutely adore this concept. I'm so glad this is the first one and I'm excited for the next one. You are amazing and I love you. She turned out so gorgeous, I love her so much. Thank you for your beautiful art. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
She's absolutely gorgeous! I love the colour palette, and the floral details. The silhouette is also beautiful, and not one I'm used to seeing. Stunning!
I genuinely don't understand why someone would dislike this- this was super calming and I absolutely love the doll! Plague doctors are one of my favorite topics in history and she looks super cool!

This doll is so beautiful! You've really captured that eerie/whimsical vibe. Also your voice over is really sweet, it's cool how in depth you talk about your process!
I loved the little story on meeting The Physician. It would be great if you did more of those little stories of your characters as your making them. You have a great ability for storytelling.

I may have just discovered my next Halloween costume. I already haveblack over-the-knee boots and a black cape-style jacket. I've watched this video many times already. Love your work.

Looks so beautiful! I loved the hair texture and face :) It was super nice to hear you talk about things you like and the influences as you make the doll, and to hear that you’re a fan of medical history too. Keep up the good work!
OH I LOVE HER!!! It's funny because when I get sick I put my hair on two braids, like the simple version of Lavender's hair, and I think many people with long hair do, either that or pigtails, because it gets it out of the way and it's comfortable to lay in... She's amaizing, you are really talented. Thanks for sharing your work

i am extremely happy with the lore you made for the doll ad the overall design as Halloween is my favorite holiday but most people do overly creepy stuff so I love the fact that you made them a ghost that just wanted to help and make friends even though she looked scary, lavender is one of my favorite scents and flowers so I'm also really happy with the fact that you used it to tie everything together. I appreciate the historical facts as it shows that you do research before making the doll and use the actual history about where it came from but can still be creative.
Your voice is so beautiful and your art is even more so. It offers such a nice cathartic feeling in comparison to the insanity of everyday life. I look forward to watching more of your content. 😌
She's so cool! You did an awesome job :) she looks great. I love her hair, it must have taken ages to do those braids. I remember my daughter wanting me to do similar braids in her dolls' hair. It was hard to do so but she was so happy with them all after ^_^
This doll, character and lore are incredible and beautiful. I very badly want to see a short film made about Lavender the physician. I also love that your videos are so relaxing.

i agree, i also love lore so this made me really happy
The strong scents in the beak of the mask weren't only for possibly getting sick, it was so they wouldn't have to smell the deceased people
True, they would also carry bags filled with sweet smelling herbs ect. It was a beleif in miasma that caused this
Some even used coffee grounds to keep themselves awake
