Volvo covers travel expenses, hotel accommodation and food.

Black edition is so pretty. Would have been even prettier with dark tinted taillights.
+1 Black taillights makes sense for the enthusiast but not as an OEM offering - Volvo holding onto the spirit of safety, keeping it visibly red and so on. For those who wish, blacked out taillights should be easy to order.

Hello mate, really enjoy your videos. I own a 2024 C40 and luv it. Super fast off the line. Any idea on when the polestar performance upgrade will become available to 2024 models and is there upgrades to the centre menu screen and/or dashboard coming? Volvo could do with a more updated look and a few customised options for the dash.
Haven't heard or read anything about when it's available. But will expect rollout in 1-2 months. Only addition of a new Drive Mode. Doubt they will do anything more with this car.
New XC/EX40 drives on rear wheels to save energy and activates AWD when it requires extra grip or power. How do you feel the activation speed of AWD is on slippery surface?
Yes, I know. They did this change from MY24 on both XC40/C40 and Polestar 2. Before that they we're all 50/50 constant AWD. Well it activates pretty fast during kickdown and wheelspin, but in other circumstances like if you have some wheel lock and "hard" acceleration then instead of activating AWD it just restrict all the power, until the "slide" is over.
It is an SUV - it is NOT a track car!
(There are some individuals from BMW who want people to think SUVs are sports cars)
just give me some colors, I am not a fan of the black editions. Sorry, I did drive a black S80..
Black pack should be offered with other colours. Black rims are a personal thing. Personally, these rims in black look average.

That XC40, sorry EX40, looks almost huge next to you after all your EX30 content😂. While the Black Edition doesnt appeal to me the slightest I still like that they give you more options. Can we have some colours please VOLVO! (And let me pair any colour and trim with a light interior...😂)
What a shame the car is not letting you play around when you activly turn things off. (I grew up next to where VOLVO used to come and do their winter testing in the 80s/90s and in the evenings when the workers went home the locals had fun on the ice...😊)

Where I live 60% of the cars are black so I have to say I personally like you'r blue XC40 better Kristian. But I see the point, and I think Volvo could have taken it to a higher level, like painting all and tinted tail light. And black crystal would be nice. And why never use real letaher seats ? They still kill the cow for food so are we now just throwing the leather in the garbage and replace it with unsustainable oil products (with shorter life span) ? The green thing in a nutshell, about money and power, only.
The ice driving looks a bit like me when driving my MG from Geiranger to the mountain top. With huge acceleration uphill where the diesel and gas cars struggled more and more. MG has only 143hp and 356nM but unlike the ICE cars I had that all the way to 1000 meters above sea level...
Yeah, not sure what's going on with the anti leather thing that's going on with some companies. Should have it as optional, maybe with a slightly higher price. So those that wanted leather could get it 👍
Optimise gearshifts… on a car with single gear… 😂 next time you copy the text from internal combustion with a 8 gears… change the text 😅

Oh yeah. That text or picture are actually taken by myself. Inside a electric XC40 Twin with this Performance upgrade 🤣🤣 So that mistake are by Volvo themselves. Guessing it will get a different explanation when they roll it out to customer cars.
This black edition aren't really nothing new. You can paint your wheels or dipped and chrome deleting your padges. More likely Volvo sould concentrate to lowering consuption and make more stable software. Volvo shoud add really new things to special editions not only chrome deleting, example bigger center screen.

Are the glass half-empty? Or half-full? 🤔 This is new from Volvo. As a factory option. So I appreciate more options. Volvo took huge steps with the MY24 production and the updated powertrain. That's more efficient. So better range. Then regarding software. After my last workshop update I haven't had any issues. But let's go back to efficiency. It's a certain limit the XC40 can reach. It's still shaped as a brick, so if you want something more soapy and low then the XC40 aren't for you.
why the freakin heck don't they have a leather or vegan lather option? This cloth crap is awful and i would never buy one if it doesn't have leather.
It's not cloth. There's no leather option because of sustainability. If leather are a must have you have to go for the 60 or 90 series 👍
