That's my sentiment exactly. If you want a Volvo EV and are okay with the idea of used cars, just go for a used C40. You might get excellent deals these days. Look for the 2024 revision, which has a better range.

Maybe not so fun for blasting away on an Ice Track - but surely a good advertisement for Volvo Safety? I've had my seatbelt tension once (a van coming in the opposite direction swerved out of it's lane and nearly took me out!) and it certainly crushes your chest!

I bought a XC 40 Momentum.2020 . The only thing I didn’t like was the voice activation. It was terrible.the system never ever understood anything I said. Otherwise XC 40 10/10 . Before the XC40 I had a V40 Volvo.

The way I stopped the Google Assistant from randomly triggering was to turn off voice activation of the Assistant (so I have to push the button on the steering wheel) - my car is XC60 Recharge PHEV not XC40 EV (but I assume it is the same underlying software fault)

Great videos - many thanks. I think a friend has the same car (model year, trim etc) and they seem to get more range than you - is it likely that they have a lighter right foot, or could it be down to outside temperature (or just so many roadworks in the UK that the top speeds are much slower)?

I own a 2023 C40 P8. My wife´s 2024 Megane e-tech is a decade ahead in terms of tech. Volvo infotainment and tech features would be great in 2011🙄 Looking to trade it in for a Scenic.

Hi congrats on a great video,I just bought the 2024 xc90 T8 with 22 inch rims,I am planning to take those of and put some 20 inch but only if the ride is firm and hard on the 22s for a long trip,plese give your toughs should I get 20 inch rims or not?

I just replaced my 2022 C40 with a 2024 V60 Polestar Engineered. It is such an awesome car!

I drive a 2019 Kinetic one (the cheapest end least well equipped) - and it has automatic cluster brightness adjustment. But for the rest, yes, the infotainment is less than ideal. But, as I see, I can be happy to have the old one in my car.

Here in the States, I just bought a 1 year old C40 with 700 miles(!) on it for $29,900. Original sticker was $63K. And there are hundreds of 1 year old examples with under 10K miles for $27K-$29K. Buy used!

Does it not have voice commands to open the different settings (as my Tesla has, which makes it that much easier and safer)?

Also, have you heard of any Volvo EV battery issues? Anything to worry about buying a used C40 or XC40? Would love a video about it so you can really get into the details like only you can. Love your work!!!

You have convinced me this is the best EV on the market. When is the EC40 coming to America? We really need the extended range. Right now C40s are selling so cheap because the range is less than 250 miles.

Completely agree re: the horrible single central screen and the lack of a head up display - I find these Tesla style central screens to be an annoying distraction and therefore in my mind completely against the traditional Volvo philosophy of SAFETY

This is really sad... Wagons are way more versatile and comfortable to drive than SUVs. This green madness about taxing high the hybrid is ridiculous. I hope they won't stop selling them in Sweden.

Great video so it seems Driving a ex30 is like driving with your wife..... Agree head up display, and things should be more voice controlled, or use the eye tracking camera for hand gestures maybe.

I liked your honesty and frankness. I share many of your concerns and I hope that Volvo are listening. The rear hatch door button is not a big deal in the UK, but the size of the trunk and its ability to hold the charging cables is. I would love to place an order but the single screen is a deal breaker. I find using a head up display - even a basic one such as on the new Mini Cooper is now essential if you do not have an instrument cluster in front of the driver as we live with a highly regulated and monitored road system in the UK with speed cameras everywhere and speed limits as low as 20 MPH (32 Kph). It is really essential to know your speed at all times. I can overlook some things but the driver awareness system and lack of front facing driver information have made me look elsewhere.

I have one. A December 2020 s60 PE. They are close to impossible to find. Yes the car is smashing fun. But for the life of me I can not get a claimed 4.4 0-100. I get around 5. I there an option of launch control with this particular car? I7ve seen a video where a guy pressed brake pedal and gas pedal simultaniously and then released the break. But I am afraid to try that as I am not sure this is a legit method to launch. Thanks.

Google Car in the Volvo is worthless, Volvo should be deeply ashamed, I regret that I traded in my V90 T6 for the XC90 2024. The only thing that works well is the voice control and the navigation, but the dashboard is really worthless and I miss the tachometer. and the consumption meter, etc. such a shame about Volvo
