Hoping for an ES60 if it comes in a performance model. BEV version of a s60 polestar would be wicked. A ES40 performance would be cool too, basically a new Polestar 2 that hopefully is a bit more sedan and less crossover. I also think we might have to wait for the EX60 to get 800 volt.
Thanks for your input Es 90 is not my cup of tea but for Volvo and especially Chinese market is very important to have a limousine in portfolio Anyway xc 90 is the car to go for me(it will be the third one xc90 in my journey with Volvo 😊 Takk
Currently own an S90, my next car will most likely be the ES90 or the Polestar 5. Although not having a closing/opening sunroof, and most importantly a retractable shade might be deal breakers for me. I live in Florida and the Summer heat is not kind 😂
@@angelherg1997 Nice nice. The Polestar 5 looks pretty sweet 😋 Oh. Didn't even think about that. Suddenly getting worried here.. Hope we will get both a shade and opening/closing for the ES90
Went from S60 2005 and 2009 ( both petrol 2.5t) onto my current S80 2013 (executive diesel). Every weekend checking the websites for a (used) V90CC. Best one would be the Ocean Race with the orange details (I'm Dutch!) but has to have the ventilated seats. I strongly believe the ES90 will look similar to the Polestar 5 but with a more sedan style rear and a few more design elements at the front to follow the modern Volvo looks.
Oh, the Ocean Race are also my halo V90 CC.. but yes. Wish it was available with the ventilated comfort seats with massage.. Wouldn't be that bad if it had some Polestar 5 vibes 😎
@@volvo_kristian The ES90 is a platform based collaboration between the Volvo ES90, the Galaxy E8 and the Zeekr007. The Polestar platform is to be found too expensive but I am certain it will share the lines and looks to distanciate itself from the Chinese counterparts and stay true to the way Volvo is progressing its brand.
@@IwillBwaiting That's not entirely correct. The EM90 shares platform with Zeekr 009.. but not this.. The ES90 will be built on Volvo's SPA2 platform. Same as EX90.. But if you have a trustworthy source that claims otherwise then send the link 👍
@@volvo_kristian I should have used develop instead of platform. The platform will most likely be SPA2 yes to cut costs and make for swift production. Both the cars are Geely related though and share the same development.
@IwillBwaiting Don't understand what you're point is.. Both EX90 and ES90 will be on Volvo/Polestar's own platform. The SPA2.. There's no other Geely cars on that platform. Been many speculations that Lotus used some of the SPA2 platform for the Eletre and Emeya.. maybe just further developed or adapted.. But that's about it.. Geely have their own SEA platforms for their own cars.
Good video . . . Loved all the sedan images, no SUV for me, not to mention no EV for me. I’m pleased with my S60 Recharge and it’s 106 mpg, as compared to 29.7 from my last ICE.
@eddykoiter2069 Was planning to talk about in a upcoming video. Have booked a V90 presscar.. but well.. Volvo have patented the name EV90, but I'm really insecure if they actually make one. The global demand are SUV, and that's also the majority of Volvo's sales. The global V90 sales have been quite depressive.. However the newly released iD7 and Audi A6 E-tron may push the market slightly back to wagons.. but hard to say what Volvo will do..
Well. The XC60 will be similar, but still, or hopefully, with it's own character. Regarding V90 I'm not sure if they will bother giving it a facelift. Not sure about it's future. Volvo are predominantly a SUV brand these days. Maybe they do the XC60 facelift next to EX60 reveal, but personally I think we will see the XC60 facelift first. Then let the EX60 get it's own reveal. EV90, well not sure..
@eddykoiter2069 Understandable. The XC90 offers a really tempting package. At least after MY22.5 when we got the updated battery pack in the T8. So regardless if your going all new or slightly used its a sweet car.
Well i think the ES90 will be a very important car for the Brand. Can´t really imagine what the design off EX will lok on a sedan or station wagon. I honestly dont like it 🙈
After my S90 I had a XC40 P8, then a V60 T6, before trying out the S60 Polestar Engineered 😎 but one major reason to go to S60 are enhanced driving dynamics. Smaller, lighter and more agile.

Love your thoughts there 😂 We need a performance oriented BEV from Volvo

Looks very good - I just hope they do a fully electric V90 as I think that could be awesome based on my current plug-in hybrid V90.

Thanks for another good video. Waiting for EV90, like id7 tourer but Volvo.

Do you think the XC60 and V90 will have facelifts similar to the new XC90? Or will the EC60 and EV90 be released directly?

Yes got a similar reply from my own dealer and in all honesty after seeing the new XC90 I too may switch to an SUV

I would not be surprised to see the ES90 being a coupefied SUV and not a sedan.
Let's see in March 👍
