Yes, but it seems like they touted it last year or two with a setting and now it's gone or renamed. So it is just par for the course with Volvo lately... Change for the sake of change.
NICE Black Edition !... I love all Xc60's & the wagons. I picked up one of the 1st extended Range Polestar Engineer xc60 in Illinois a Late-2022 model. just hit 12900 miles & still getting 42-44 miles of pure EV range. only took 14 months but I Finally found a sweet spot on the Öhlins Dampers, "#12 Front, & #14 Back" FYI : I started following you just B4 Covid & I love your approach to all your reviews. 😁 ... 💙the remark "Only $74,000"
I have the 2024 xc60 recharge ultimate edition and I love it. I do want to correct one thing about your review . I'm not sure what the concern or complaint is the infotainment system. I'm an Android user and I have no need for Android auto because the car does everything I need to do. I don't think it's confusing at all that there's no Android auto because the car literally serves as your phone. Google maps is seamlessly integrated with voice commands, so Tell it where I want to drive and it tells me how to get there. I get all the Google maps functionality on the center screen while my turn-by-turn directions show up on the driver's console and also on the heads-up display. I can tell The car what I want to listen to, I can change the temperature, I can add additional stops on my route , find the closest gas station, etc all with my voice. The only things I don't really like about the car is there's no integrated sunglasses holder, no cell phone charger built in, although there are two USBC ports, and really no good place to put your phone. Other than that, I'm extremely happy with it. I've had it for almost 2 months and have used less than 2 gallons of gas by my estimate. Electric motor driving me around town in pure mode is getting me 42 to 44 mi on a charge which is much higher than the specs indicated. 6:42
I understand that Android works that way but as a press car, I don't want to login via Google and forget to undo all that when I hand the car back. Now, if I let someone borrow my car, my "stuff" is all there - previous addresses, favorites, etc. And I fear this because once I received the XC90 with the Androis system and a previous journalist was logged in and even though I was driving the car, it SYNCED their latest Google maps history while I had the car - so even though I was driving, I knew where that journalist went every day. That's a huge issue!
Anyone buying a $70,000+ vehicle, more often than not, will not qualify for the tax credit, because they make too much money. And most people that do qualify for the $7500 tax credit, shouldn’t be purchasing a $70,000+ vehicle. Funny how that works.
@@NewCarSpin I’m positive, actually. $150k ceiling to qualify for the fed tax credit in 2024 for single buyers or married filing separately, buying new. That’s a joke IMO. If the goal is to promote EV usage, why not offer the credit to everyone? Or at least raise the ceiling a bit? Incentives should apply to all, not some, if this whole EV revolution is about “going green!”Anyway, I digress. Sticking to the original point - yes, if you’re single, or married filing separately, making under $150k per year; you absolutely shouldn’t be buying a $70k vehicle, if you’re fiscally responsible (unless you own a business and are claiming it as a company car / writing it off at the end of the year). And if you are fortunate enough, like many of us, to be making $150,001 or more in 2024 - you shouldn’t be penalized when trying to purchase an EV. 🤝 Then again, I’ve seen baristas wearing royal oaks and teachers driving corvettes so to each his/her own.
Geely bought Volvo from Ford. The Polestar One (discontinued) and S90 are made in China. My S90 was superb but the lease ended and the money didn't work out at the end. The other models are made in Sweden and elsewhere (Austria I think). Great to hear from you YD!
Volvo's US-bound XC60s are made in Europe, not China, due to concerns about US-China relations. The majority of Volvo vehicles are assembled in Sweden, primarily at the Torslanda and Skovde facilities.
By the way AAOS / Google infotainment is MUCH better than Sensus. In fact other automobile manufacturers like Porsche are ditching their in-house software development in favor of a Google/AAOS .
While Volvo is currently owned by the Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, the company owns over 15 other vehicle makers. However, Geely lets the Swedes do what the Swedes do best, build awesome cars! It also holds a 9.7% stake in the Mercedes-Benz Group and a 17% stake in Aston Martin.
Xc60 t8 is definitely best car volvo have ever made
I just got a 24 s60 recharge T8. Absolutely love it. Such a great car
Beast of a car
The one pedal drivings in B mode works excellant and does indeed come to a full stop.

I'm waiting for mine to arrive. I'm anxious!!!
Getting mine in September, can't wait.

Is it even good in deep snow? I saw some videos xc60 struggling in deep snow. Would you be able to test this in the winter?
Snow was no problem for my S90 on unplowed roads during snowmageddon.

Are you sure about that?
The workaround for that is to lease and buy-out at the end. The dealership pockets the credit and the car price gets reduced accordingly.

@@Keestral you can’t buy out a Tesla lease at the end, despite accounting for ~57% of all EVs sold / leased last year.
Don't tell me what to do. I'm going to get a Lexus RX!... or a Volvo S90...
Wait until you see my RX review!
@@NewCarSpin we were considering the RX Hybrid in our evaluations, do you have a link to it?
Didn’t a Chinese company buy it? Where is Volvo manufactured these days?
