Stephen your images are without a doubt beyond next level, these vlogs of yours are superb and after watching the I can only think what if... is there any chance you can do a video on how you process your images in lightroom ? .
@@StephenMilner one question, as I have recently got the 50sii. Are you shooting raw+jpeg for the wide aspect ratios? You are showing both or do you crop it in post? Would be good to see your menus setup 🤗👍
The shots of the mountain glow were lovely You were a great source of inspiration when you shot film and I gorged on your work . I wish you would do more film photography and put down that expensive digital Lamborghini . RUclips is awash with Fuji GFX this and that . I watch your videos only occasionally now . Hope your back is better these days
Thank you 🙏 I hope to do more film stuff in winter locally where I live. I have had a few comments like yours. I don’t understand them because I approach my photography the same way regardless of the camera I use. The GFX just makes it easier and gives me more aspect ratios. There will be some changes happening on my channel soon. I’m planning on doing less videos about using cameras. But, more content on how to see the landscape.
@@StephenMilner I remember watching your metering vid on velvia ( I think it was ) I think that is a good example of the added value that you get from those videos vs digital , I don't remember a digital shooter explaining or perhaps needing to really go into how they have metered the scene ? From the point of view of a travelling vlogger I understand why digital vs film is a no brainier
Film photography has made me a better photographer because of how difficult it can be. I’m struggling to see how it is sustainable because of its ongoing and increasing cost. When the business side to my photography is profitable, I will use it more. I hope to travel internationally in 2023 and using film Is risky.
Great video, Stephen! Can I post a plug for the NZ Medium Format Digital Group I set up on Facebook. You and everyone else would be welcome to contribute to the group. The weight of high resolution gear is worth it!
Stunning shots Stephen
Thank you

More wonderful images of such stunning scenery. I have never visited New Zealand, your work is a delight. Best wishes from Sheffield, England.
