If I ever was thinking about fitting a stainless snorkel & airbox - you have definitely talked me out of it! Thanks for that Tyler. The Nav is now looking like something really special. Time to get it dirty (and don't forget to show us too). Enjoy .
Haha glad it helped mate! Super keen to get it away on some trips :)
Beautiful! Lots of great mods - you must be grinning from ear to ear - time now to get it dirty and gather a whole new collection of pin strips. Enjoy!
Yep its all coming together, keen to get it out on the tracks!
Great job. The rig looks fantastic Tyler.
Cheers mate :)
Nice one Tyler navs starting to look like a real off roader 🇳🇿😎👍

Cheers mate!
Tyres make a big difference, looks good mate
Definitely, thanks mate!
A bit scary drilling into a new car...I think I would go for a walk outside while they were drilling and cutting!! However these guys are fantastic and know what they are doing !!! Looks great Tyler and the team at Port have done a great job !! Getting the New STX on Wednesday (27th Nov)...have not been as off road as you you with the gear...just a nudge bar and tow pack !! Great stuff mate!!
Thanks mate! Definitely a little scary watching it being hacked up haha. Enjoy your new nav!
@@TylerThompson90 New Nav arrived home yesterday..quieter than Series 2 and rides better. Nudge and Tow Bar fitted..look great...not as flash as yours though!!
I'm on the central coast and will do a weekend trip to port maq to get these guys to do a lift on my Paj because of the work they did on your nav. They know their stuff
Awesome mate, they do a good job there
@@TylerThompson90 keen on the next video
Coming up nice mate. Cheers Steve
Thanks mate!
Sounds great.
Yep sounds good with the snorkel now
Nice looking sway bar 😍
Definitely! :)
Looking good bloke 👍
Cheers mate!
Looking cool with the tyres an snorkel 😎
Thanks mate
Looking forward to seein the new rims even though the factory ones still good too,,,I think Shauno on 4WD ACTION uses those same grappler tyres on Sooty his 80 series cruiser ,, and they seem to work well
He uses the General Grabbers I'm pretty sure from memory mate, similar tyre though
looking tough
Cheers mate!
Lookn mint m8 👍
Thanks mate!
Hey Tyler do you get any dirt and dust behind the guard now after cutting the new snorkel hole ?
Looking great now with the tyres on it. When's your first longer trip with it mate?
Thanks mate! Got a big trip coming up in January to Tassie :)
Man that demands a lot of material cut out of the impact zone ae, do the plastic style ones require the same amount of cutting to the inner guard?
Your drop link height and sway-bar pre-load should have been set with the car resting on its own tires, on level ground.
Tightening all sway bar fasteners likewise should be done with the car resting on its own tires, on level ground.
Having it done with the suspension under full droop is going to cause premature failure to those suspension elements.
Now you say that I do actually remember reading that somewhere in the packaging. So should I loosen and readjust/tighten things now when its on the ground?
@@TylerThompson90 Yes. Most definitely.
What the maverick team said ;)
Okay will do! :)
Yes. In fact all the suspension bolts shall be tightened once the vehicle is on the ground. Expect of the knuckle ball joints.
AIRBOX AND K&N AIR FILTER - Have heard mixed opinions from people about whether the k&n air filters are better or worse then the factory paper air filter when it comes to dusty off road conditions. Some people have said they don't do as well and others have said they do just as good/better. The K&N air filter is a washable air filter that can be washed and re-oiled when it gets dirty rather then chucking in the bin like your paper ones. I've got a kit to clean it if it gets really dirty out on the tracks plus I've also ordered a sock that goes over the filter as extra dust protection so will see how things go :)

Looking meaner each video
Thanks mate!
I've got a set of those tyer monitors on the lux an it tells the tyre temp an tyre pressure as well as sets off an alarm if a tyre has a fault but my monitor plugs in to a 12vlt socket I think mine are made BY ROUGH COUNTRY 4X4
Yeah same things mine does, seem to work pretty well
I also looked on the oricom site an there's are any where from 130 to 240 I think your oricom ones are better then my ones as they need the specail lock nut spanner to take off the sensor tyre caps when I need to air down
Yeah that would be a little annoying to have to do that all the time!
Can you run through a cost of what it has cost you looks tuff as well done
Thanks mate! Yeah can try and work it out, a few of the things I've put on have been sponsored/discounted meaning I didn't prices on them so makes it a bit harder to work out
Hi really like your channel. What lift do you have ?
Hi Tyler! Last question. Is there space enough to put 33” spare wheel in place? I’m running 32s and the space between the spare wheel and the Panhard rod is quite small.
Thanks mate!!
Hey mate, yep you can, I just let mine down to 6ish psi then compressed it together a little with a big ratchet strap and it fits
It's sad to say but are you glad your old car got pinched...😪...What a rad rig...👍😎🍻...
I wouldn't say glad haha but slowly getting everything back together again
Hi Tyler!! I’m thinking about to change my current BFG KO2 for the KM3. However I use the car every day to go work. I do 76km/day. Do you think it’s a good deal? How much asphalt do you do with your MT tires?
Have you checked if this tires touches the wheel cover when the suspension is fully compressed?
Another question. Could you say me the maker of the snorkel/air filter kit?
Thanks!!
Hey mate, just depends how much off roading you do I guess and whether you do the harder stuff when you do to make it worth having mud tyres. Ill often do 50-60km a day with my muddies. The main thing is they are just going go wear quicker then all terrains if you doing lots of road driving, they will be noisyer but that doesnt worry me, I think the engine is always noisyer then the tyres anyway. Mud tyres will also be more slippery in the wet.
Tyres just touch the inside of the chassis on full lock at certain angles but they don't seem to touch the guards.
The snorkel and air filter come from 'platinum mechanical and suspension' 👌
hey mate, just wanting to no what lift you got in there? i got a 3 inch dobinson lift with 285/75r16s and they were scraping bad on the front, so i had to put a 2 inch body lift as well and it still scrapes every now and then when going through ruts.
Hey mate, its the 2 inch ironman foam cell pro lift kit. Tyres just touch the inside of the chassis on full lock at certain angles, no guard scrubbing though
How well has the Oricom been working? I have an external one (not Oricom) and it beeps all the time, it shit me and went out the window. Does Oricom have volume adjustment?
Yep I've found it quite good mate, hidden away in the tyre so don't really know its there and only beeps if you start losing tyre pressure. Not sure if it has a volume adjustment though
Nice what wheels you waiting on what brand?
The ones I'm meant to be getting are some black XD alloy's from wheel pro australia. Ordered them a while ago but they were out of stock till December I think it was, so not sure whats happening. Not too worried though, the stock ones still look good
Hi mate, I've heard some tyre places refuse to fit 285/75 on the stock ST rims because they're not wide enough. Did the guys you go through share any concerns with this? You've obviously done a fare bit of decent wheeling in them and seem to have no issues? I want to get a set but like the ST rims. Little bit if scrub full lock doesn't bother me. Cheers
Hey mate, I'm pretty sure the stock ST rims are 8 inches wide? 8 inches wide is definitely wide enough for 285/75. Maybe just double check and find that out. But I haven't had any issues running them and I know lots of other people run them too, I've never heard of anyone saying you can't fit 285's on the stock rims
@@TylerThompson90 looks like they're 7 but all good if you've had no issues then I'll do the same. If they fit, they fit! Cheers
Did you have to do any chopping to get the 285s in with the 2inch lift ? And does it scrub much on road, off road and when it’s fully flexed ? Cheers
Na didn't have to chop anything, doesn't scrub when its full flexed. The only time is on full lock it will just touch the chassis, whether you are on or offroad. If you got rims with a wider offset it should bring it away from the chassis and fix that
Tyler Thompson yeah nice, what offsets is your rims ?
Just the standard ones that come with the ST nav, Im not 100% sure but I'm thinking maybe positive 10
how much did the airbox and stainless snorkel cost
It's about $1500 for the pair mate. They gave me a discount code to give to people if you end up ordering one 'TYLZZZ5', you get 5% off
Hi was any of the mods you installed been a Warranty void.?
My local dealership were all good with it but need to check with your own dealership normally, comes down to their thoughts/attitude
exhaust and tune next?
Haven't got any plans for that yet mate, got a few other things to do first but possibly down the track.
hello tyler. i have a question. Your 2 inch lift with 285 will it rub inside when it flex? thank you
Nope it doesn't mate
@@TylerThompson90 thank you very much tyler
NAVARA OFF ROAD BUILD!!🤔 its a navara of course it will be off the road!
How do you make the exhaust sound whistle?
Its just the stainless exhaust
So.... what have you done about security and not getting it knocked of again.....
Nothing yet but will work something out asap!
What's the go bud....smick staino snorkel and airbox and that flexy plastic pipe to connect the 2. The ripples in the pipe wouldn't help with direct airflow. Should look at a nice shiny pipe to connect although would be a pain in the butt to Install and remove, not much room to work with though, gotta love it lol.
Yeah not sure mate, I see your point but would probably be a pretty big nightmare to get a hard pipe in there haha I'm assuming thats why they've done it that way
Lol yeah be a big pain. The boys have looked after me there so there would be a means behind the madness. Very clued up the crew. (Don't wanna drop any names haha) your in good hands there.
What beach were you on at the end of vid?
It was up Hat Head/south west rocks way
It is illegal to drive on those dunes thou. I got a mouthful from doing the same .it's all written on the back of the beach permit.
Cool !
Gotta say that’s a lot of messing about for a snorkel, Safari ones are dead easy on a nav.
My sensors are the actual tyre caps not the valves
