Hi, I have a 2014 D40 dual cab, I’ve started a little bit differently from yourself, in terms of upgrades. I’ve added a front bull bar, an oil catch can, pre-filter diesel fuel filtration system, which you really need in Australia due to the crap quality fuel we get from Asia. I’m about to have installed a diff, gearbox & transfer case breather kit for when u travel across rivers or body’s of water. In the next few months I’ll be doing a 2” lift and tyre change to the same size tyres u have. I ordered some front recovery points and they will on soon. I was lucky when I purchased the Nav that the previous owner added a canopy and a heavy duty roof rack, complete with supporting internal brackets that will support up to 400kg just on the roof. That alone saved my around $3000.
That's awesome! Ive also got an oil catch can now, i went for the provent 200 after hearing alot about them from down under. Funnily enough I've also made a rear canopy reinforcement system too for a roof top tent, I'll be making a video of that very soon too! Thanks for watching & commenting!
Oh nice 😊 I have the same truck just a double cab black as yours ! I lift my 4" and regret I did not go for the 6" lift. I use BF Goodrich 33x11-16" And in tune my diesel engine so it have bit over 200 bhp actually 232bhp. And I made modified exhaust who is open cat and DPF by law we need those for the inspection every year sucks. My truck have run 220500km and rides fine every day! Best regards from Sweden 🇸🇪 Bjorn
Awesome! I bet that stands good and tall! 33'' tyres are my next purchase I think but like you I've been thinking a tube may be more beneficial! Maybe one day we' ll be have to do some trails in Sweden together if I manage to get over in the truck!
@@PrimalNomad There is not so much trails here in sweden not near like 🇺🇸 I use it to get out to my excavator whit diesel fuel that's why I lift it for most part! And it get a better look as well! Best regards from Sweden 🇸🇪 Bjorn

Hey mate from Aus 🇦🇺 Got really similar mods so it’s interesting see you do your thing. Dual cab 2” tough dog lift kit but wanna go 4” 😬 halo headlights, 31inch muddies, sports exhaust, 4inch staino snorkel and custom air box (makes it sound like a monster), new head unit and speakers, upgraded air intake and hot pipe. Next is a full under body protection plates and winch 🤙🏻
Hey dude! That's awesome, you'll have to send me a few pictures on Instagram or something! I've wanted a stainless snorkel since I first came across them on #navlife, you guys down under sure are the 4x4 mod Kings haha. Been inspired since I lived in Brisbane for a year a while back! Good luck with your build :)
@Primal Nomad Bushcraft. For sure bro I’ll add you 🤙🏻 make sure to get the air box with it too so you can upgrade the air filter. I’ll send you some videos 🤟🏻
Hi , awesome video and very wel put together . I’m trying to find the same wheels you have from tyres direct and they aren’t on there website , we’re they definitely from there . Do you know anywhere Les I could try ? Thank you 😊
@@bigtone2005 no problem at all! I think a 2 inch lift should be more than enough, I did a 2"body lift to gain the clearance in the arches and the suspension lift only really helped with articulation etc!
A fine video! I have a 2019 Frontier PRO4X (USA) that I'm putting a 2" Old Man Emu lift on with light load springs on the front and moderate (550#) on the rear. It's my understanding that the stock upper control arms only need to be replaced with a 3" lift. And I was told that longer arms wouldn't add articulation with a 2" lift due to the relatively short shocks. However, a kit to add cam adjusters to the lower control arms is available to adjust camber. Did you add these later?
Thanks so much! I haven't added the adjustable bushes on the lower arms yet but they are on my list to do! That will certainly sort the camber, I did opt for UCA's from PSR in Australia too to help with strut clearance and a slight camber improvement but as mentioned it's not really essential.
It's a bit luck of the draw and also how well they've been looked after, I know that they aren't without their problems. But when you do look after them that's when they become a pleasure to own and even repair! Hope that helps :)
Ooh hard question! I'd probably go for adjustable coilovers, but! It does require a bit more work that I'm not sure me and Tom have enjoyed at the time 😂😂
I'd assume getting shorter shocks and smaller leafs! I haven't really looked into lowering if I'm honest although I know it can be done! TJ Jack covers some lowered rigs on his channel

33's may reqhire some trimming of the arch liner/mud flaps or adjusting with a heatgun, or you could add some body lift blocks (video coming soon). Ill dig out the before & after measurements over the next day and reply again! Thanks for watching!
